Just bought some trenchers and beedlocks today - first upgrade for my slash/raptor... was hoping for badlands but out of stock so will see how these ones go first... Thank you very much for this video sir!
Just got my Axial Yeti Kit and wanted to know if I'm doing this right 'cause this is my first kit with non-fake Beadlocks. Great video. Thanks back to 2009. ;)
If you torque them down properly they shouldn't throw tires. I've been running 3S LiPo on my Slash Ultimate and haven't lost a bead yet with Gladiator tires on Pro-Line Split Six bead locks.
hey, I am building a robot and I want to buy tires with their inside not only the rubber, what should I write to make sure I am buying a wheel with the inside so I can screw them to my raspberry pi robot?
I know this is an old comment, but I think Dustin meant using a form of heat (like a small Torch) but it may melt the rim if it is plastic. I would recommend trying some CLR or vinegar.
I am so tired of looking for offroad info and i get this kid toy junk. THESE ARE NOT REAL BEADLOCK TIRES! anything RC should have RC BEFORE THE NAME, SO THAT PEOPLE LIKE ME THAT DON'T CLICK ON THIS STUFF!!!! PLEASE THIS IS FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!
It's a very poor "educational" video, actually. He advises to use silicone (a lubricant) to "lock" the tires into the wheels? Hmmm... dubious, at best. Then he says to "install" the wheel bolts in a criss-cross pattern... but what he means to say is to "tighten" them in a criss-cross pattern. So, yea, like I said - poor.

Man thats a really well informed video, shame i don't have beadlocks but that certainly was a great demo.
A+

those r sum sick tires
i love this rims got um on my slash 2wd. got my panther paddles mounted on these rims works great.
finally some more how-to's! A+
Would it he possible to put aluminum beadlocs on a slash 4x4 or would they be too heavy and put too much of a load on the bearings???
awesome paint job!!!! looks great
no, they are not glued and yes you can change the ring.
Hi, that is a SLASH 4x4? can you tell me the name of the wheels and tires? thanks for all, nice video.
RMC
@2540941 Can't you see the thumbnail? When the finger in the picture is the size of the rim you should be able to tell if is an Rc or full size.
@radugns those are epic wheels for sure
Damn, I want one of those!
Nice wheels, but a good question is, what band was playing at the end of the video? Sounded pretty grungy!!
silicone to lock it in place? whats the point of having bead ock you need to glue?
wtfdudekk lock*

Silicone...not glue.
That’s what I was thinking too lol...I thought the ultimate point of beadlocks was as an alternative to using any kind of liquid adhesives, etc.
hey i got the slash 4x4 brushless and i mest up the foam insert do you have any idea where i could get the foam inserts at and the part number.
do you really need beadlock on an rc
What does he mean by silicone? Like silicone oil for my shocks? Or is it a glue?
so if i get beadlock rims can i switch out the tires that i am using?
where is this track? wouldnt happen to be in scriba ny would it?
do i have to use tire glue to mount regular rc rally tires onto rims???
thanks
Can those rims handle a lot of torque So will not strip they out the hex
who do you get them in different colors
would the beadlocks work on proline trenchers?
are the switch tire good on pavement, grass and dirt?
with these you dont need to glue right?
Is that slayer at the end custome painted? I want to put a fox racing shox decal on my slash as well
where do i get the silicone? what type?
what kind of silicone?
Where can you get that bodie i like them
@sleadhead1g i currently have these tires on my traxxas slash 4x4
Awesome educational video. Thiose tools at RCDriver magazine could learn from you about how to make a decent video.
what if i have closed cell inserts???
What is that A-7 Corsair 2 EDF hanging up there?
wher can i get a differant rim color?
Can you mount normal tires on beadlock wheels
cool vid man
Great video just loose that music bed. Thanks. :-)
What do I do If I have closed cells foam
yes
What's the name of song at the end of the vid ????
5:40 great display of "traction"
Nice guide :)
what tires
Yes they would. (:
i mounth AKA ENDURO on same beadlocks, and on my slash with 3s lipo i lalways lose tires.... now i glued it with tyre glue and ok ... lol
I knew less about tires 4.5 YEARS AGO when I made that comment.
ok thanks
@Shmittyrevo And i'll pretend I didn't see the earlier comment about rcs being toy kid junk.

tesla. py you want "premounts". but you need hexes on your robot first so the axle doesnt free spin in your wheel hub.
Good video thanks, but the background music is so annoying while you're speaking.
never mind everyone, the problem was my wrench L key!
I've lost no screws
Putting silicone on the tires and rims defeats the whole purpose. Beadlocks are made to be able to switch wheels quickly.
my Beadlock screws rusted up and I can't take the screws out can anyone please help it would mean alot thanks :)
WD-40 maybe that's all I could think off
heat
Dustin Curry never heard off that on screws how does it work
use PB Blaster or a penetrating oil
I know this is an old comment, but I think Dustin meant using a form of heat (like a small Torch) but it may melt the rim if it is plastic. I would recommend trying some CLR or vinegar.
to bad they stoped selling them
they'll be terribly unbalanced and hard on you diff and other parts.
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY
