  • The no-till coulter was put on almost every planter to help it penetrate and plant into hard ground better. But we are finding that is not the case at all. Removing the coulter offers several benefits, watch the video to see all of the benefits!

    I tried running Martin row cleaners on a JD 1790 32 row by 15" in corn stalks planting beans. We simply couldn't keep from plugging. After 50 acres we took them off and reinstalled 13 wave no till coulters. I love those row cleaners on a JD1770 30" corn planter in no till bean stubble.

    The advantage of not I’ll coulters is less wear on disc openers

      At the expense of consistent seed depth, hair pinning residue into the seed trench, and it robs down pressure from row unit. If you only run a no till coulter so you don’t have to buy more seed openers then you will have to buy more no till coulters,,,, you are buying more iron to save from buying more iron….. row cleaner fix all of the above. Id love to send you a row for you to try

      @@FennigEquipment I agree with you totally you Adam. I just believe in telling the pros and cons of every system. You have a great channel and I enjoy all your videos. We just bought a new to us caseih 1250 and would like to add another tank on back. Might look you up to fab a bracket for it.
