What is the Duration of Treatment for Blood Cancer? [In Children]

Treatment Duration for Acute lymphoblastic Leukemia
6-8 months of protocol directed therapy - This duration is the intensive bit where hospital visits are frequent and the child will undergo intensive chemotherapy to rid the body of leukemia cells
There are four phases of treatment:
Induction
Consolidation
Interim Maintenance
Reinduction
2 years of maintenance therapy - Comprises of oral medication which has to strictly adhere to.
Treatment Duration for Acute Myeloid Leukemia
4 cycles of intensive chemotherapy for 6-8 months. The child may have to be admitted in the hospital for the entire duration of the treatments
