- In this episode you get a run down of Graeme and Mike's favourite fishing lures in the famous Tackle Shack. Graeme's followers have always appreciated his way of telling it as it is, and if it's tough fishing, you can believe it is..We all have to put up with the same conditions. Plus he tries his hand on a hot South coast Flounder mark that turns ice cold on him, and finally he chose the wrong day to head to Selsey Bill after a storm, but saved the day with an epic cookup! It's still a Totally Awesome, so sit back and enjoy.

What I really admire about this channel is the length of the films. I hate it when you wait all week for a video and its only 10 minutes long. Keep it up 👍
Why are people genuinely unliking this video , at least have the balls to comment and say , no one dislikes constructive criticism so just say ...In my opinion this is just a TOTALLY AWESOME fishing channel , headed up by a quality guy
Well said mate👍
Probably just the general keyboard haters or people we have had to remove and block...Can't please everyone ,but with over 55 million views there is a high percentage who enjoy watching them...which is why I keep making them...What else would I do ??...Bowls ??..Knitting ???
TA Fishing Well I’d like to say we wouldn’t tune in to watch you knit but I can’t be sure , the channel and your personality are infectious , you bring back many memories of fishing with my grandad on the south coast. Thank you and good luck on the next one
honestly why the negs??
Hahahaha Graeme. What an intro boss. Graeme pullen: author, filmographer, master angler and also part time nut case.
Part time ????????????????????????????
Na his Hulk Hogan intro on pier fishing part 2 is the Legend that is Graeme.
bloody amazing vid too btw
@@TAFishing he bumped his head, he meant full time haha
F'ing nutter, love it brother!
i just find your videos and commentary so interesting and as an angler myself and at the age of 72 i am still learning.. well done
your daughter seems to have your sense of humour. and its great .
quarter of a milion of us love ya graham , brilliant
Fff
Amazing and deserved.
Both your Channels are fantastic as you keep traditional values a live and kicking....These traditions Can Not be lost and I thank you both for your knowledge and time.
I really enjoy the cook-up segments in your films. Thanks for putting them in. Wonderful job as always.
Definitely a Totally Awesome Intro... loved it
Don't no about the fishing. This guy should do a cookery CZcams channel. Fantastic really enjoyed.
OMG He will be buying a chopper next and singing Radar Love!!!!!!
More likely Born To Be Wild!!! :0)
I love this channel, I've even watched most videos twice, but I'm fishing 7 years and I've learned so much from your shows. Ur nuts. .
YES!! FRY UP!!! I only watch your videos for the fry up! ;-)
Red is actually the first colour to go in water (all underwater photography has to be balanced for lack of red). It would mean your red lures look and work like the black. Notice that lots of lures have red, maybe they all work as silhouette?
"I dont know where i am really" haha brilliant made me chuckle
Totally awesome indeed!
Good one Graeme, some really big waves. 👍👍👍
Absolutely love you Graham!!! Your knowledge is incredible. Thank you so much for sharing it with us. You rock and your beautiful Family Grandma and Grandpa. Congratulations to all. Til next time be safe. Sincerely, Michelle L. Ellsworth, Pup Harley and Kitty Liam Arlington Massachusetts.
Greetings back to Mass from a rainy UK
When you pack up you could show us how you clean and pack away your used rigs it would be interesting for some of us Graham. Great video and the cook up looked very tasty 😀
Legend of a man I have learnt a lot from watching your videos keep up the good work
Great video, this place is beautiful, you have incredible fishing equipment, CONGRATULATIONS.
Hug !!!👍🎣😉
The man that got me into fishing himself
Excellent video Graeme (as usual), thank you. On the subject of lures, do you have any videos where you demo on how to "rig" with a lure, please? I've always wanted to have go, but never been sure and often just stick with bait on ledgers etc.
Just fabulous as usual Graeme. Loved it! Fresh chilli and parsley wih your prawns with olive oil instead of butter/vegetable oil.....well recommended!
Great opening, full of energy. Love watching the channel. Great cooking 😀👍
Great cooking ???....Ha Ha...Wait till Wayne sees this comment...(I once tried an all-day breakfast in a tin,it was indeed like dog food and sloppy)
Anyone else's Belly Rumble when those Prawn's went in the Frying Pan?
great to see u in mad mode lol
Fished there last week had nothing then moved down to Portsmouth behind the castle had some lovely bass
Nice intro
Great video, love that place Warash always my place to go for flounders 🐟
Bruce Springsteen is GREEN with envy!
Totally Awesome cook-up.
Thank you again
Hows it going. I dont normally comment on CZcams vids but I've got to say, ive been watching your channel now for a 18months or so now. I love the diversity you have and how theres a bit of something for everyone.
My self I live in the lake district up here in sunny Cumbria and have a small boat that i fish on out of Maryport Marina and I've taken alot of what I've learnt from you and applied to my fishing trips out and I've seen great results.
So just wanted to say tight lines, please keep em coming and if you ever find your self up on the Solway Firth/ Irish sea keep an eye open for the looney trying anything to get a bite.
Cheers
Brilliant as always what more can be said
Hi Graeme and Mike , the first colour to go as you go deeper is red the last is blue, Love your shows. All the best.
daft as a brush lol superb Graeme pullen you have the best fishing channel on youtube bar none, keep up the good work i look forward to your vids, thank you
Another film tomorrow(Saturday),another Sunday and I just loaded one for Monday !!...I can't stop !!
@@TAFishing superb thank you, dont know where you get your energy from
Awesome intro Graeme. I laughed my butt off.
Great video guys 👍. Very informative chose selection of plastic lures 🎣🎣. Yea , a nice bit of fresh fish. Would of gone down, a treat with that 😋😋😋
Red is the first one to go.👍
Really shit couple of days, I needed this ❤️
Glad we were able to help you out...we all need a boost..I got mine today..Took wife out for lunch at Hayling Island as I'd been away filming a couple of days...Major result..Got 2 Senior Citizen's full Roast dinners as much as you could eat...£4-99 each..and it even included a beer !!!...I'm so happy...Yaaayyyyy !!! (Cos I'm out trout fishing Sunday )
@@TAFishing haha, bless ya ❤️ I haven't been out for some months now fishing, I hate the cold.. a good day fishing is probably what I need.
Great vid Graham, nearly time you got a new chair.
Quality entertainment. Looks like you took the pantry with you to Selsey. Can't beat a fresh air fry-up.
You probably have forgotten more than I will ever know about fishing but I have to correct you on lure colours disappearing in the water column/spectrum. Red is the first colour to disappear, blue/white is the very last. That’s why blue/white works so well in deep water and is always to go to colour for commercial fishermen. Fish also do not see what we see and it depends on how many cones they have in the eyes (predatory fish always have more so see more). For fish, colours generally become shades of grey (insert your own joke here). Much respect to your channel, it’s fantastic. Tight lines.
Mark Richard Hall absolutely correct but a couple of things to add. Fish, as you say, don’t have fantastic colour vision but predatory fish see contrast very well. Often what they see is the silhouette of the lure contrasted against either the lighter colour of the bottom or the daylight filtering down from above, so sometimes particularly on a light bottom or in clear water or a very sunny day dark lures work well as they provide a strong contrast.
However, in our generally murky waters you’re right in that white or light colours tend to contrast well and do well.
Similarly, lures with two strongly contrasting colours can appear very visible and attractive, hence why the “rhubarb and custard” variation on colour works.
Often overlooked is the vibrations the lure gives off. Vibration and motion is much more detected by (particularly predatory) fish and in cloudy water they often use these senses plus smell to hunt with. On very deep (50m plus) wrecks in the U.K. the light levels are very low and so often fish are actually homing in on the vibrations and disturbances caused by the lure.
In summary, contrast is more important than colour and features which make the lures vibrate and flutter are all good!!
I hate fishing but love your videos
You are the man Graham!!
Hey Graeme looks like yer in Warsash to me...and that gantry is part of the Warsash Maritime Academy training school
what a great family........ top man graeme keep up the good work! when are you fishing cornwall next? fancy a smith to join you?
I was filming down in Somerset recently...got 6 films out of the trip,so keep watching the channel...Probably won't do Cornwall yet,the Somerset boys are getting so many fish I don't need to go any further West.
@@TAFishing i look forwards to the new vids graeme .... keep up the good work!
Ha ha good vlog with a bit of fun thrown in 😅👍
neon and red are nice color at tractors for fish.
I think you forgot to take the kitchen sink lol but I'm the same and I always get the wife asking me why do you take so much and I always tell her you never know what you get might be dinner or nothing at all lol what another great video,, thanks from myself here up in Blackpool
Love the channel . Can you add a description of the rod and reel makes used to the description of the clip and the line possibly used . When you say in the clip it does not always come through clear enough to understand what you say in the clip
Take it down south you normally fish a flat sea? Some places I fish I won't go unless forecast is giving 10+ft surf.
Happy new year to all at TA keep rocking the rod
Dire straits intro
Is that Mike singing guys?? On the intro track? 😎
Long time devotee chaps! Pike obsessive, LOVE the upload with the 2× 20's and Nathan, and the 'bothersome ' rainbow trout, taking 2lb deadbaits! Must have watched that one about 50 times G! HNY TA! Wishing y'all the tightest of lines in 2020. Best regards. M.E.
We ❤️ you Graham..🎣🎣🎣. 👍
You mention a "french boom" rig? Any chance of a tutorial on different lure rigs?
I remember catching a bunch of perch In a river in France on Redgill (mine were eddystone eels) lures when I was young
Love it I’m off tomorrow for a fish 🤞🏻
GOOD GOD, Jimmy page, and stevie nicks no less, Great vidio as always, keep up the good work. Wot no reduction noodles? Great stuff. Many thanks.
That's my local fishing spot in that estuary throws up a mixed bag from time to time seen many big bass pulled out further down towards the lifeboats
Red is the 1st colour to go at about 10m.
Good work guys
Love your channel
Haha brilliant intro. I like it 😂👍
Love your sense of humour Graeme, great vid again but that's Snowflake surf . Have you ever fished Swansea??? 👍😁
*Yes, that's Fawley.*
Where that power station is there is a beach called Calshot and round the corner from that is Lepe beach I go there all the time loads of fish. Give it a try one day 👍
Fabulous intro👍👍
Up north cod have been really good on rag caught a 3.5lb last week on the river
We use the same baits for spotted sea trout and red drum in North Carolina.
Graeme how do you do it? Rock star, Angler, Photographer, Chef, and entertainer plus all your hints ant tips. Again in appearance with Mike (but still no Smith). You must work incredibly hard to bring us such great videos. I watched Mike's on the air raid shelter this morning (noticed you did the majority of the work). Thank you for keeping so well entertained.
It sure is a bit of dedication but we have such a great following we simply plough on...There's nothing on TV other than the weather that interests me so every single evening I am editing...It is highly addictive once you have done all the work to get the film clips....More films to come, another tomorrow, and the next, and the next..4 in a row I hope.Don't miss them !!
@@TAFishing While I have a hole in my bum I will never miss a TA fishing video, in fact rather than watch TV I go over a lot of your older videos on sea fishing to remind me of the excellent tips you have provided over the years. Only 2 1/2 more months before I am fishing Eastbourne. Picked up a cheap cannon still camera so I can take some picks just praying for a light Northerly wind and zero sea weed.
A Southampton Special ha ha. We have Mersey Goldfish up here a related species i believe... Yep a Great intro
Thumbs up!!!
Clark
The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
Well I asked about lures for bass and here it is. Thanks. How bout soaking em on video sometime ?
Sorry Mike, your sister and dad stole that one on the intro, man what an intro and great tune. Should have been a rockstar Pullen, with Wayne as drummer!
Nice tune man.....!!!!!
Impeccable timing. I'm a writer and I've been struggling to come up with sources for an article about the history of fishing with ultralight gear for the past hour and a half. At least this video will put me in the mood! :)
@thefilth thefury yeah, a crab line at the beach then on the pier, followed by a 6ft spinning rod as a gift, used for everything including mackerel off the rocks. Cheap and thrilling
Like a pro 😉😂
I went fishing there 2 weeks ago next to the harbour masters and caught a big bass
Another brilliant video!! power to you guys, i've learned so much from watching your vids :)
Great video in appalling conditions on the pier. Bet you enjoy the editing as much as the fishing. QQ: were those potatoes already boiled beforehand?
Awesome as always!!!
Watch all your videos ya a legend.....what was the intro track please
Love!
brilliant intro pmsl
40secs in and ive stoppd watching
I was always taught blue was the last colour to go at night not so sure now for it was blue flowers.
I've only got as far as the first 2 minutes !! I want some of what you two are on !!!!
Ovaltine & Cocoa !!
@@TAFishing Ha Ha,thought it must have been something stronger !!!
New sub here, first time I've been this early to a TA Fishing video. Are you gonna have any more shark-y content this year? Never realised how big the sharks we get here are (and I surf!) love your stuff, keep it up!
Sharks are more spring to autumn, though I think some Porbeagle sharks are here year round.
Never clicked a video so fast. People still catching Pollock on the west coast of Scotland on lures and an hoping to get out tomorrow now that there's a break in the wind
A break in the wind ???...In Scotland ????....I hope you get it,and good luck.
@@TAFishing well it's been up to 40-50mph this week and the gusts are merely 20mph this weekend so I guess that counts as a break 😂
Great content
We are both a mature 66 but, my name is spelt....Graham. Good vid sir, very entertaining.
But I am looking down the barrel of 69 this year !!...but grateful for the compliment of mature...in age only I'm afraid.
@@TAFishing OK, must have been watching old vids, but the thought was there. Were you by any chance in the forces?
would using lures/feathers in the autumn/winter time off a pier catch anything or would live baits be better?
Live baits or dead baits I would have thought.
Graeme thanks for all your efforts to bring us armchair anglers entertainment on Friday nights !! If I can ask as question......in your last 2 videos you have fished with half a pound of ragworms and commented on the cost but with the shots of your bait are you sure its not half a kilo ??? Seems like a hell of a lot of worms for half a pound
No its half a pound, probably looks more as its 180 degree wide angle camera. Lot of it might be the peat they keep them in. Count the worms and there aren't too many, they just look more in the peat.
OK Graeme no problems Please keep up the good work really enjoy the channel plus the DIY and TA Outdoors Best wishes from Belfast
Great vid :)
Mate come to Torbay, loads of fish still in in maccie, herring, gar in big shoals all marks clear of idiots, bass here in numbers as well.
Do me for locations
Tight lines😀
I think all the seals are predating on the flatfish as easy prey for them.
Richard stewart nah not many seals down south here
Red is the first colour to go. It’s gone after about 5foot.
Hi Graeme Why don't you use a pocket warmer, or hand warmer with lighter petrol they are great on cold fishing trips.
Got one,but only just getting cold enough to think about using it. Trout fishing tomorrow and with the frosts I might light it up. Can't retrieve a flyline and still feel the take through gloves.
@@TAFishing even leaving it in your pocket when retrieving line helps a lot when it's really cold l have two one left and one right 😁😁
