None of the cats are mean, they are probably one of the nicest cats speed could’ve gotten. They just want to be isolated. A lot of cats would straight up get into a real fight with the dog if this happened to them. Speed is lucky the cats he got are nice.

@@Gabysale Being hyper is not being disobedient. Training a dog to not be hyper anymore? That's so stupid. The cats were ok-ish... training could help their temperament. It's not like the puppy was hurting them, and they were free to leave at any point. They just have a bit of a dominance problem, being very touchy. Socializing would be great for them, which is a form of training.
Cats love vertical spaces (cat tower, cat tree, cat wall), and they need a cat house that can hide like a ninja.

It takes about a month or so for them to get a long. What you did was to early for ur dog to meet ur new cats. You have to put the cats in a different room first so they can know their new surroundings.
We have four cats. You have to start them out in a room first and then about after a day or two you let them out and you show them their surroundings. The cat will get used to it quickly then you introduce the dog because it puts pressure on the cats to fight because of their natural instinct.

Little explanation : The dog just wants to play (he puts his head down and his buttocks up) but cats and dogs don't have the same way of communicating and so the cat tries to understand if he's a threat and gently pushes him away when he comes too much into his personal space. Cats are less playful and especially with dogs so his poor dog will often be put off because dogs want to play all the time and cats most often want to be left in peace.

you should get advice in how to train your dog, he was clearly too forward with your new pets, when you get new animals it is best to keep them in seprated rooms at first so you can control their reactions and let them become acustomed with each other scents
You can't really blame the dog, since it's a puppy. He should have just let them interact without interfering. The first cat was doing a good job in telling the dog off, but speed kept telling the cat off and comforting the dog for some reason.

Those cats are amazing, the dog's good too, but the dog is a little too excited and pushy for the cat's liking - but if you keep them from fighting until they are somewhat used to each other, I feel they'd be fine - as long as they don't start a big fight. Everytime the dog barks you pet him and he thinks he’s doing a good job so he barks and looks at you
you can encourage friendship by setting boundaries and being patient, very patient. Make sure both have areas that belong to either the cat or the dog alone the other is not allowed there and where they can feel safe and secure. Do not allow the dog to menace the cat. Try hard to keep the cat from menacing the dog (yes, that’s a thing too). Introduce them gradually, with scent and sound before actual contact. I use the ‘under the door’ method for introducing two cats but it also works for dog and cat. This is pretty simple, just keep a closed door between the two of them for a day or two and let them sniff each other under that door. It gets them used to the idea of sharing turf.

The golden rule for me is food. Food will have them bonding in no-time, lol. My cat used to be scared of the dog, but when the dog was fully distracted by food they were able to be super-close. Just give them both treats until they associate that positive experience with eachother, and they will be best buddies after (the cat is the boss now by the way). It was also a pretty severe case, with a traumatized cat (from previous owners), so I think there is hope for any dog and cat to live together. As long as the dog is not trying to kill the cat, ofcourse.
