A CO2 detector is a small lightweight addition that provides the best indication of ventilation, the confidence that you aren’t goosed or false tracked is invaluable.

I just completed U.S. army combat medic training, and they've been stressing to us about being able keep up our skills and knowledge on our own now that we're being sent out on our own to our units. Being that PFC is so new they only touched on what they could of it which wasn't much so this these videos are proving to be really helpful

They just teach us enough to keep someone alive long enough for medevac. Basically over glorified EMT without the legal ramifications of sticking someone with an IV.

From a SAR medic perspective....throw some Chux pads or puppy pads stored inside a gallon ziploc bag into that hygiene kit. Arguing whose pack the patient’s waste is going to go in can turn south really quickly if the rest of the team gangs up on you ;)

I'm looking forward to some form of quick 'stabilization' wounds like heavy bleeding, bone fractures, gashing wounds and gunshot wounds. What you've shown here is a super power of higgest level and I think that even some quick response ambulances are not able to act about and take car of a patient like you could there and now. Great work.

Our team has great faith in her and she can shoot also. Teams need to remember to keep your members up to date. They cant see it all. JMHO

"The army didn't give this to me but a local hospital is missing something". When I first went to boot camp many, many years ago the dental techs gave a lecture on oral hygiene. The first thing they said was germs in your mouth do not cause bad breath. Bad breath was caused by the germs leaving teeny tiny turds in your mouth. Must be something about being in the military medical field that imparts comedic irony. I enjoyed all of the medical videos as much for the information that I don't have the skill to use and Luka's delivery.

If there's anything you didn't emphasize enough it's "check your ego at the door".
Having the best or worst equipment matters less than learning how and when to use it- or to seek help- otherwise you can kill your patient.
