sorry for the upcomig stupid question but i am new to this hobby, but what are the pros and cons of a spool instead of a center Diff ????....any reply would be much apprectiated
Spool should only be for drag racing not bashing .it will lock front and rear together . For bashing and dirt you want the diff so if front or rear want to pull more than the other it can . Also spools put a big load on differentials front and rear and will damage easy in crashes, jumps, and flips .
That may be the reason they put 3 orings in it. People having to take it back off. The one now has a slide that covers that pin. Oh and I hope you e changed the battery on that fire alarm by now. 🤣🤣🤣
Hey brother awesome video thanks I just got home with my hot-racing locker spool and watching your video to install this thing....so does the arrma talion have 4 screws on the spur and I need to order the one with 3 correct? Or will my stock talion spur fit on? Thanks brother rcfeene
@@brooklynhobbies it's going into my Arrma talion which on the spur takes 4 screws and not 3 like on the hot-racing part. Which I know you said which spur to get but is there anyway it will hook up without waiting for that spur to come in? Thanks for taking the time to reply brother rcfeene
@@brooklynhobbies I do have a traxxas 50t spur but it's plastic and mod1 it has 3 holes I could use that till my metal one comes in couldn't I? I think I should be able to use it for now but not sure if I want to put in and take out and put in and back and forth so maybe better to wait for the metal one do you think? Yea I wouldn't use it for bashing I'm just going speed run it and do some normal driving I'm very new to the hobby so I'm still learning but I was thinking about putting a arrma limitless 46 or 44 spool on with the 24t pinion an hope to go faster then the 74mph I got with a 50 spur and 24t pinion any suggestions
How would the set screw hold the pin the cup would need to be able to spin and how would it spin if a grub screw was holding it in that grub screw is for easy diff fluid fill if you are building stuff for people you should look into what you are trying to teach thanks for the video but you should know what you are talking about first just my OPINION

What part numbers are necessary to do the whole job
Don’t advise this anymore . After selling a lot we see they didn’t hold up very well . If Arrma use the limitless spool .if Hobao get saga
What pinion did u use I have a talion 6s exb with a 24 t pinion will that work or do I go higher 25 to26 and have u did a speed run with the setup
