Highly intelligent people already know they are such while also simultaneously being aware of how little they really know. After all there is only so much knowledge a person can acquire in a life time and a limit to human intelligence.
I believe if a person can apply their knowledge, insight, intelligence and common sense in a practical manner for the benefit of themselves and others then that is wisdom. Wisdom is way more important and beneficial to everyday life than intelligence. Intelligence is practically useless unless applied in wise manner. Better to be less intelligent and wise than highly intelligent but lacking in wisdom.

That is an interview I'd be interested in watching but will have to pass since I don't speak french. Perhaps I could find similar info from google search. I'm aware of studies that show highly intelligent people underestimate their intelligence relative to others. This is because highly intelligent people are aware of how little they know relative to all knowledge in existance. Less intelligent people seem to not have that awareness on that scale so they subsequently overestimate their intelligence based on what they do know. Underestimation and lack of awareness are two different phenomena though. I wonder if these were relatively rare cases or something more common? Thanks for the info I'll be looking into this.

Or you could be humble in your assessment. Would you know you're not one of the most intelligent?, if you didn't have the intelligence to know? yea, double talk. 1 Cor 13:1-2 13 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. KJV So, I have suspected I am intelligent. coming from a back ground of low esteem, DI struggle with the idea. But one thing I am convinced of is, "if God gifted me with a working brain that see's things as others don't, it's not to lord over others but to do what I can to use my intelligence, what ever that may be, to come along side and help others be successful, whether in faith, business or any worth while endeavour in life." Jesus was a very intelligent man, demonstrated this at a very young age as he taught in the temple gaining the admiration of the spiritual leaders of His people, but still knelt and washed the disciples feet and encouraged us to do the same in serving others in what ever capacity at need. Yes, we can humbly recognize good qualities in our selves. But we should ever remember, we ain't got any thing that God didn't gift us with. If we have understanding of all knowledge, but no love we aint nothin.

My Grandaunt taught me to read when I was three. Many children can learn to read before entering school, but it shouldn't be forced on them. Let them learn when they're ready. To get them interested, put sheets of paper with letters of the alphabet (separately and in order) on their playroom or bedroom walls. When they ask about the letters they're probably ready to read.

If you are the smartest person in the room ,one should establish new relationships that stimulate critical thinking & challenge the intellect. As a result you are teacher & student simultaneously. A true sign of intelligence, maturity & wisdom.

Not knowing where something is, is a waste of time...
Always being organized means you don't have to do any big cleanup or big organization session. So you actually save time.
Granted in the mess. If you know where everything is then it's actually organized just for you. Rest of the world might view it as a mess.

If they could simply obstacles and mathematics I might feel smarter. They'd be doing a wonderful thing for us all but I understand with genius intelligence they may want and need more.

I think I'll stick to burn the flesh off my bones showers and leave facing my fears for actually important things! I do the connections thing and love exploring topics from multiple points of view. I was reading long chapter books by first grade and Les Miserables was my favorite book by third. Also, isn't it after a certain IQ, your likelihood of success actually decreases because of the 30 IQ points rule (basically you typically prefer to talk on a level that people within 30 IQ points of you like to talk on as well, but if your IQ is too high, then everyone else around you's conversation seems boring so you prefer your own mind to socializing/networking, which decreases your likelihood of networking and getting the career)?
