Everyone seems to be moving to Dallas, here are 10 reasons why.
Dallas is a great place to live and people have been relocating there at a pretty good rate for the last decade or so. They have affordable real estate, low taxes, and a semi-decent crime rate.
This video is just 10 of the reasons people are moving to Dallas, Texas.
Let's take a look at why so many people want to live in Dallas, Texas.
Do you need a local Realtor for the area you want to move to?

Dont drive slow in the fast lane....get outta the damn way.
Jay J hell yeah đđœ you cant be doing 70 on the fast lane đ pisses people off youll get cut off real quick, if you can drive in texas you can drive anywhere in the states âđŒ
Jay J
That's a fact!!!
Jay J its not a fast lane its a passing lane an yes they need toget out of the passing lane an exit off the cliff..
It was easy driving almost all over the United States including the outskirts of Texas until I got into Dallas. Road construction is a never-ending thing, but I don't think they improve the situation, but have turned it into a nightmare... multiple loops...roads with four lanes.. getting stuck on toll roads....missing an exit and having to spend 10+ minutes trying to correct the mistake.
If youâre not doing an 80 on a 50 your not a Texan
My favorite bumpersticker I've seen in Dallas: "Welcome to Texas. Now go Home."

is Dallas crowded? is it true that there is always a long traffic jams on the roads?
Gil Fernando at 4pm to 6pm there is so much traffic even on weekends plus all the bad drivers we have here
I've lived here all my life. Some of us are being priced out of our own neighborhoods from all this mess. As much as I want to be friendly, I'd like this area to be less popular.
Lol đ I'm actually being property taxed out of my own home in Arlington, TX...SMH

So right
Dallas and Texas in general has geography as an advantage over other parts of the country. It's centrally located, it doesn't snow, and it's flat. Now flat may be boring, but it makes home building a whole lot easier and cheaper. The availability and cost of land is the biggest factor in the cost of homes. Homes use to be affordable in Southern California, before we built over all the orange groves and strawberry fields. Plus we have mountains. But Texas is one great big state. And it's nearly all flat. So you've got a long way to go before you run out of building space. Good luck with your growth!
@@xfhghe it doesn't snow much but it snows
Welcome to Dallas where no one uses their turn signals đ
But only if you're black will you get stopped for it. đ
You don't dare. All that Texas friendliness evaporates on the highways, well not all but a lot in most drivers, so you spot a bit of space and use your signal that space is closed off fast.
Sometimes they use them after they have change lanes

Joseph DeGarmo lol. Dallas is wack. Plain yogurt. No flavor. Tries so hard to be everything BUT dallas.

You've done a good job explaining Dallas. I have it on my mind now to maybe move there in the future.
I love living in Dallas. Thereâs never a single boring night and there are so many restaurants you can go years without eating at the same place. The weather is great in the autumn and for those summers, thereâs a plethora of lakes and even an Indoor waterpark in Grand Prairie you can cool off in. The music scene here is crazy and the jobs are endless. The suburbs of Dallas, especially Irving, are exploding with new Houses and highway systems. The city is open to any political opinion as you have a peaceful mix of Liberals and Conservatives. Rich in Hispanic culture and African American culture as well. Museums and amusement parks are abundant as well. Fort Worth is a half hour away and have fantastic restaurants as well. Literally anything you can think of. Dallas has it. Thank you for being a intelligent human being offering real information.
That's the problem. It varies. We get long stretches of dry heat (because we're getting no rain) and then BAM! Suddenly storms roll in and it's hot and humid.
And let's not kid ourselves, both kinds of heat suck in their own unique ways.
Af1gonzalez
Oh, it's fairly dry heat. It's no Phoenix or Las Vegas. But it's still significantly drier than most heat out east, that's for sure!
@Af1gonzalez. Yes it is humid in the summer but itâs all relative to where you live trust me there are places much much worse. There are places where you would lose 10 pounds a day and Iâm not joking about that. I am talking from experience I lived in South Florida for seven years.
Af1gonzalez I think he was trying to say that it is COMPARATIVELY dry. He specifically mentions how much more humid it is in the Deep South - and, he's right. However, you are right that it is more humid than some other places like Phoenix or California.

I've literally met more people from other states than I have from California. It's crazy because Texans move to California just as much as California people move here. Dallas morning news did an article on it.
@@dustinhiggins710 Dallas Morning News... an article...? Give me a break. No offense Dustin, but... I'd dig a little deeper if you want facts over fantasy. NOBODY (educated) moves to CA. Wish this weren't true, but it is. SERIOUSLY wish it.
Only poor people from Cali are moving to Texas. Those who have smaller dreams and those who cannot afford living in LA, SF, etc. but wants big space that they dont even deserve. .On the other hand, smart ambitious Texans are moving to California, making Cali expensive.

Go just east of Dallas and you will find out what wet heat is. The most hot I have ever been is in Georgia. You sit in the shade there and your clothes get wet with you not even walking around. In Atlanta you get out of the car and walk half a block and sweat is running down you back side.
I would love an updated video about this. Dallas is beautiful, but that heat đ„” Lawd have mercy.
thank you for doing this video, looking to move to the dallas area for work
Please do NOT move to DFW! You guys are messing up traffic, housing prices, etc. Fix your own mess.
Exactly. People are so stupid.
You must not understand how things work "mof ucka." What about DFW humbles you anyway? If your talking about the nice people, they had to move away for health reasons. Now it's a cesspool. If anything don't move to DFW because it's not safe for your health. Yes people are very stupid to think that DFW is some escape. Austin is already bursting at the seams with Californians. The truth is we're running out of land, and with the city's filling up and over flowing this entire country will eventually be one giant city. Really pisses me off that so many people are still having kids on purpose knowing this. I left DFW 2 years ago because drugs, general crime and murder were everywhere. I couldn't even go to the grocery store with out something insane happening in town. The law enforcement has been dirty for decades. Most of the cops (Not all) are drug fueled killers. They will absolutely break the law and do what ever they want whenever they want. And get away with it. Rent for rich people is cheap but if you make under 20 an hour you'll starve pal and if you don't want to penny pinch and have fun here you better make big bucks. Minimum wage is still $7.25 and the cost of living is only low compared to those living in NY or Paris btw. It's the poor rich mans town. The roads/traffic is worse than ever because of road rage is on the rise. I had a gun pointed at me more than once in a single year and that seamed to be nut jobs who were running everyone off the road. Check the local news, it's all death corruption and murder. lol Look up the "Wild dog" problem in Dallas. The packs of wild dogs running the streets have killed. You'll also be smack dab in the middle of one of the biggest and oldest hot spots for fracing. People there are very very sick. They mention us in both of the Gas Land docs. Heck I've seen them frack up against the high rises in down town. They do put up sound proof panels to be polite so I guess that's a plus. Not to mention the fault line that goes right under the middle of DFW that they are fracing, so now there are earthquakes...So you have that to look forward to. Oh yeah the weather is some of the most extreme weather on this planet in north Texas. Sure it's MOSTLY a dry heat but when it's 117 degrees like 100 days in a row and you start to feel like you have radiation poisoning and are going blind and the people on the tv come on and tell you not to go outside, the Humidity doesn't matter. Alot of Aussies call North Texas home because the landscape and environment are so similar to Australia, except our Tornadoes and Smog. Heath insurance is unattainable if your employer doesn't provide it and most places that pay under 20 dollars an hour do not. Even if you have insurance, the care that's provided is usually shit. They also have some of the best health care if you've got moola comin' out your wazoo. Every part of society is corrupted there. God forbid you hit a little snag in your life while living in DFW because there will not be help and they will destroy you. I'm actually from there, I love the land but it's destroyed and the people are insane and violent. I live in the middle of no where and never leave my house because of the horrors I've witnessed all my life there. Sure it's bad everywhere, but every aspect of your life will be different if you've never lived in North Texas before and suddenly move there.

My fiance and I just moved to Dallas about a month ago from Massachusetts. Your videos proved to be invaluable in terms of research. I wanted to personally thank you for your valuable insight. Also, we just had lunch at The Slow Bone this afternoon per your recommendation and OMG it is BBQ Heaven. Dallas rocks! We love it here.
Edward Goodwin my girlfriend is coming down from Massachusetts next month!!
why this sentiment? is portland OR not awesome? I too am deciding between Texas and Oregon@@MeltinJohn
Welcome to Dallas!
but you'll prob still vote left to ruin it
not worth the move... you'll find out
I have seen a lot of California and New York plates in Texas. I live east of Dallas
Yesssss! I'm here. Lol!
I hope they don't forget what they ran away from. Texas is the way it is because it's a red state. These yuppies are going to ruin it eventually then will have nowhere else to run to..
Lee Morales no one asked you grandpa!
Alex Nuñez heâs not wrong
@@leemorales3884 texas is purple at the moment. These liberals ruining it
I love when you tell them to stop typing lol. Every video you do that and itâs great lol. Also your sign off of saying Be nice to each other lol
I would watch your videos just for those two reasons alone lol
Cheers mate
Thanks for the info. You restored my faith for Dallas. I'm a resident.đđđ€
I love this video thank you I moving to Dallas from Minnesota I hate the cold
Oh how I miss Dallas đđ€
In New Jersey now... and I just cannot... (but my job is great).
When I tell people my public high school (in Frisco) is like a posh private school here in the North East... and they donât believe me
Haha I go high school in frisco too
Thank you for for showing us Dallas and your information I do appreciate it so I want you to know thank you very much
I've lived other places but grew up in North Dallas and it always draws me back. Dallas is a blessed place to live.
Thank you for this video! I'm trying to move to Dallas from NYC!!
Dallas is a great city. Low crime for a major city, jobs, good schools and decent weather.
But NJ And MA Have sooo much better schools
I live here!
Most of these are true... surprisingly...
Not sure about the friendly people...
Only because I donât go out that often!
Lol
There's way too many people at this place more and more people are moving here and honestly it's starting to get crowded in places and the road đ

Great list
Recently moved my young family to Dallas from southern CA... we've been here 2 months and love it. The best part about it is we can live comfortably on a single income and allows my wife to he home with our 1 year old. Oh and the CA traffic.. I don't miss it.
Anthony Garcia welcome, hope you leave those crazy California politics behind đđ
Hoping that one day I will be able to do the same for my family â€ïž
@@CpT_PrInCeSs leave the bullshit democrat votes in california and you'll be fine
Take your wife to my favorite restaurant itâs OJEDAS on maple st dallas best enchiladas ever youâll feel right at home

I plan on moving to Dallas in 2 weeks. I just love your confidence and your commentaries đ I have lived in Illinois Chicago area most my life I moved to California to be slapped in my face I hope Texas will welcome me with the southern hospitality. I still have half my life to live I just want to own a small piece of the American dream. đđ»
How is Dallas?
@JNN Fax bruh Texas got more of that than any of the two states you just listed
Thank you! Great vid
Planning to spend a couple months in Dallas next spring. Nice vid!
Dallas is full.... Please procees further down towards Houston, San Antonio, or Austin.... Thank you.
Proceed*
John Sajeth the traffic is driving me insane. It wasn't like this three years ago.
John Sajeth or to your urban neighbor Fort Worth.
The traffic is insane. I hate it and I don't miss it. Not living there anymore. I don't miss the NTTA either.
Nah houston is getting full too
Nice to see my home city on here ! I was born and raised here and Iâve seen it grow and grow and grow... Iâve always known it was just kinda cool to be here. Iâm sure I will never leave however itâs been good to me. I do have a summer home in Florida on the coast but Dallas will always be home ! The heat is not that bad and itâs just real hot a few months out of the year.. but dry tho. If you like motorcycles you will have one here. Seems to have cooled some in recent years I say. Still there is always something to do and itâs never boring. Great video. Ps: if you canât find a job here you donât belong here! Period :)
@Hello Jack Prycee, How are you doing?
Bro I stay in Dallas and itâs cool keep educating the masses fam
Great info! đđŸThank you âșïž
I love âBlue Highwaysâ, the reason he called it Blue Highways is in the âoldâ days the small backroads were blue on the maps. I would love to retrace his route.
Thank you am in the UK and I was thinking about moving to the US, now I know were to go.
All those reasons to move to dallas is correct. I will be moving there in August and I am excited about it.. I love Dallas..
great video!
I'm was born and raised in Dallas and I've seen the changes throughout the years. Once I became an adult and start to travel more, I saw how different people lived in other cities. Dallas is an easy city to live in. If you can't make it in Dallas you are just not trying. I agree it's getting crowded here but not as nearly as crowded as NYC, L.A, or Chi-town. Oh and b.t.w. don't believe the "dry -heat" comment, that's simply not true. The humidity is about the ONLY thing I DON'T like about living here.. August is BRUTAL, but the weather makes up for it in September, October and November.
This is nice. Love Dallas. Please do a similar video on Houston
Yes ... Houston Houston Houston đ
I'm dying to visit Dallas, I feel drawn there. Great video, thanks
Very nice! You killed it man! Carry on!
A lot of the items he mentioned are not just Dallas but entail the entire area of DFW. An example is the home prices, those rates the average for all of DFW, no way is an apt. in Dallas averaging the price he said. Another is the sports, the Cowboys play in Arlington, their practice stadium is in Frisco (you showed it). But otherwise, good job.
He's right. JOBS, BIG MONEY AND GREAT SPORTS! PLUS EXTREMELY BEAUTIFUL WOMEN
Robert Smith Extremely beautiful women with class.....
That's because the majority of women here are not liberals
very well said...........
You will almost never see a land whale blue haired blue armpit haired feminist here. Not saying they don't exist I'm just saying that they're a rarity here.
And that is one of many reasons why we are so damn proud to be Texans..
Good experience with your video sir ... Im ready to visit dallas ... For the next year
'I read âBlue Highwaysâ back in the 80âs and it was a great read.
Thank you for all the nice things you said about my hometown I was born here it rocks
Russell Crawford hey me too
That makes us one of the few and far between, assuming you are still here. There are hardly any natives left here, that's the sad thing. Our accent is gone with the wind... The kids go to school with so many transplants that they don't speak "Texan" anymore. Y'all.
@@avalondreaming1433 yeah, it's changed and changing. If I hadn't grown up here in Fort Worth, I would have some trouble recognizing my home town. But it's still Fort Worth. Still home. More newcomers than home grown folk. Oh well, our secret is out thanks to videos and whatever like this on CZcams. Gotten crowded these days. Traffic used to be great all the time. Rush hour wasn't so bad decades ago. Oh well.
Im from Texas, specifically Dallas, and well i agree with all of these, EXCEPT 4 because there is times when the weather gets insanely crazy, and its not just heat, but this past december and january, in just 1 week you can have freezing temperatures and hot sunny days, which is really annoying
My brother applied to so many jobs in hopes to stay in SoCal, but to no avail. Applied to a few in Dallas and got an amazing job offer. Gotta go where the work is. Hence everyone in their 20s lives there.
Thank you so much for you talk about my town God bless you
