The good news is the refs take the abuse with a grain of salt, but like champs. The bad news is they get more abuse than the coaches, Management, and owners with the players being the last ones to get the abuse or worse get less abuse. I'm glad refs get a positive spot in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall Of Fame. We really need to respect the refs because without them, the NBA would be nothing but a sophisticated pickup game with players bickering over who's ball it is and sometimes throwing fists over it. We need them to keep the game under control. My respect goes out to Dick Bavetta, the most recent NBA referee inducted to the hall. I respect you and the work you've done. Thank you, and enjoy retirement!
