You put in your silver dry on the foil, pour baking soda, a pinch of salt and hot boiling water. Let it soak, do it's thing for like 10 minutes. Then you scrub a bit with old soft bristle tooth brush and dish soap. Don't do these on coins as some collectors don't like scrubbed coins it loses value. The part I was missing for good results were the salt, letting it marinade and finishing with dish soap. You can also use a hair drier to finish off.
