First year with Nova Lines,I grossed $225k in 2021! Last year,my gross was $288k I stopped running west coast! No need in burning up my truck running in those areas! I don’t stay out months at a time (I’m home every other weekend). I’m comfortable here. It’s not a perfect company but it’s way better than most other companies I’ve driven for in my 28 years as a veteran!

5:55 - “…take that company-driver hat & hang it up… The moment you cross over into lease purchase, the responsibilities increase 100%.” 🎯🎯🎯
    Why people fail as Lease/Purchasers (L/P) or Owner/Operators (O/O) :
    1. Corrupt L/P agreement - 12:44 - Read the FINE PRINT. If you don’t understand it, hire a lawyer.
    2. O/O L/P - Current parts shortage
    3. O/O L/P - No $$$ saved to pay for the parts that aren’t available in #2.
    4. O/O L/P - Already in debt….yea, see # 3 above.
    5. O/O L/P - Unsupportive home life - 4:12
    6. O/O L/P - Current fuel costs

    8. O/O L/P - Undisciplined - 6:28 “…in this industry you will live it, breathe it, drink, sweat it…”

    11. O/O L/P - Inexperience. You need to know the trucking industry.
    12. O/O L/P - No business savvy. Business owners need to know business….right?
    13. O/O L/P - Only 1 truck. No money to make truck/lease payments while truck is in the shop.
Other than that, you should have no problems…

So, in other words the SHIPPERS AND RECEIVERS ARE still running the show and Dickpatchers are driving your truck with their computers deciding appointment times for you? Well no wonder you can’t drive 50 miles anymore without seeing massive trucks crashing into each other and even running off overpasses crashing and burning 🔥. The Railroad gets 14 days to get freight delivered. You said something very important, managing your 10hr breaks, What if I need a 14hr. Break, SO WHAT, I’M NOT GETTING PAID BY THE HOUR. WHY, if you’re an owner operator or a GLORIFIED COMPANY DRIVER making truck payments and buying DIESEL AND DEF FUEL, WHY don’t companies just load you up with loads and the DRIVER SETS THE APPOINTMENT TIMES INSTEAD OF SOME MORON AT A COMPUTER THAT GOES HOME EVERY NIGHT AT 5PM 🕔? Truckers have a 24hr clock to work with,, there’s absolutely no reason that truck drivers can’t decide when to pickup and deliver freight at their own Pace. Each load should have a 7-day Window for delivery once it’s picked up. After 7 days it’s considered a Service Failure. Of course you won’t take 7-days, BUT there’s no RAT RACE PRESSURE EITHER. NOW THATS TRUCKING ❤! I’ll bet they’ll be less truck wrecks too.

@@nicureality1427, It would help if drivers were a little more educated and had some guts stand up against TYRANNY and Slave Labor. Paying for a job is absolute INSANITY.
Don’t drivers have the common sense to realize that, if things were that good, WHY WOULD ANY COMPANY WANT TO SELL YOU THE TRUCK? Let’s see when this guy rookie post a copy of the Title for that truck and will Nova Lines keep doing business with him.
