VERY IMPORTANT. You shouldn't eat foods that use Charcoal as a colorant if you're on prescription medications. It can reduce how much of that medication your body absorbs, decreasing or sometimes even nullifying the effects of your prescriptions.

@@tetsutetsu7206 it does this because it is an extremely porous material with a ton of surface area. Adsorption is the adhesion of atoms or molecules to a surface, of which charcoal has a lot, in a thin film. It's both a complicated and simple phenomenon.
In terms of other materials with this property, silica gel is probably one you're most familiar with. That's those little packets in medication packages, shoes, bags, items like that which are intended to prevent moisture. Another substance is zeolites, which are crystalline aluminosilicates and are used to remove CO2 from gas. There are some others but all of them are resistant to abrasion, a distinct pore structure, small pores which increases surface area, and high thermal stability.

There was a study to see if activated charcoal actually stopped birth control from working in 2001 and no correlation was found, but effects of some medications can be reduced, so its still advisable to check that it doesnt affect and medicines you regularly use, though for most things you can just wait 2 hours after eating the charcoal to take the medicine

Lastly, traditionally, squid ink pasta doesn't have squid ink in the dough, but in the condiment, although it can be added to dough (although usually it's either linguine, that can be fresh pasta, or spaghetti, which usually are dried and not homemade pasta). Happy Eggs in the blue carton. They're heritage breed and they are by far the best eggs I've ever had in the US. The blue eggs themselves are also fun. Most major grocery stores carry them.

You have to get thousands of eggs, all of which only last a certain amount of time and need to all be distributed and served within that small time period

I've been craving a good pasta dish lately, and I've never tried homemade pasta before, so this is tempting

I highly recommend it. I tried it a month ago and it was the best pasta I’d ever had. Granted the process making it makes me hesitant to try again, the flavor alone overrides that hesitation easily

@@ashbin7393The guy in the video said charcoal is flavorless, so it will taste the same as any other pasta.
