I see most of you hating on this Video because the Speaker praised Yazid, which is wrong. Yazid should not be praised and loved. But at the same time Most of you are also wrong in calling him a kafir and other similar comments. When is comes to the times of after the killing of Uthmaan(RA) we have to be very careful in talking about what really happened during those times. Much of history during those times is distorted. Many of us are misinformed regarding those events due to the Rawfidh(shia) and other similar sect influence without even realizing it. This is what we should say regarding him according to Imam Ahmed and Ibn Taymiyah. Shaykh al-Islam described people’s attitudes towards Yazeed ibn Mu’aawiyah, and said: The people differed concerning Yazeed ibn Mu’aawiyah ibn Abi Sufyaan, splitting into three groups, two extreme and one moderate. One of the two extremes said that he was a kaafir and a munaafiq, that he strove to kill the grandson of the Prophet SAWS (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) to spite the Messenger of Allaah and to take revenge on him, and to avenge his grandfather ‘Utbah, his grandfather’s brother Shaybah and his maternal uncle al-Waleed ibn ‘Utbah and others who were killed by the companions of the Prophet SAWS (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), by ‘Ali ibn Abi Taalib and others on the day of Badr and in other battles - and things of that nature. To have such a view is easy for the Raafidis who regard Abu Bakr, ‘Umar and ‘Uthmaan as kaafirs, so it is much easier for them to regard Yazeed as a kaafir. The second extreme group think that he was a righteous man and a just leader, that he was one of the Sahaabah who were born during the time of the Prophet and were carried and blessed by him. Take hajjaj ibn yusuf who killed many Shahaba and Tabieen as well. Also that Asma bint Abi Bakr the mother of Abdullah ibn zubair Confirmed him to be the tyrant The messenger of Allah mentioned in a hadith. But can we call him a Kafir? No. If it wasn't for him Appointing Muhammad ibn al-Qasim al-Thaqafi to rescue 1 woman we in Pakistan and India and beyond would not be Muslims today. My point is during those times of fitan its better to remain silent rather than calling out such people who did many good things mixed with many bad things. Yazid is also one of them, along side Hajjaj, and the Caliphs who tortured Iman Ahmed and killed other scholars of their times.

Most of the people among the general population are ignorant of the reality of the claims they make. Its all based on emotion and effects from their peers. Then he gave order of 20 lashes to be given to the person [Imam Ibn Hajr al Asqalani in Tahdhib ut Tahdhib, Volume No. 6, Page No. 313 Imam Dhahabi said: He (Yazid) was a disgusting Nasibi (i.e. those who hate Ahlul bayt). He drank and did evil. He started his kingdom with the killing of the Shahid al-Hussain (RA) and ended it with the incident of al-Harra (i.e. besiegement of Madina which also makes him directly liable for Lanah as sahih ahadith prove). Hence the people hated him, he was not blessed in his life, and many took up arms against him after Imam Hussain (RA) such as the people of Madina - they rose for the sake of Allah [As Siyar al Alam an Nabula, Volume No. 4, Page No. 37-38] I Understand and agree that Yazid was a sinner a bad person who should not be praised. However My issue is with CALLING HIM A KAFIR; like the comment section is doing here. This is my point. If you are going to attack him then don't overstep the limits of that Allah he has set. I've provided the evidences agreeing with the Great men of our past. Just maybe only a few Scholars that if you really searched and looked hard would have made takfir on Yazid. The Scholars you've mentioned are Ash'ari. Ibn Taymiyah has been critical of that theological school of thought. so its obvious those scholars would speak ill of him. There will always be a few scholars here and there forming negative opinions regarding other righteous scholars. We need to look at the whole picture and see the opinions of the vast majority of the ulamah and follow the Ijamah. I stress my point again. This is really good information for me and I changed my stance regarding Yazid with all this evidence that you have provided. I will still refrain from making Takir on him by calling him a Kafir but I will curse him like how many of the scholars of the past did with this overwhelming evidence. The reason why I don't want to call him a Kafir is because most of all the scholars (except the last one) you and I quoted did not do it so why should we... Imam Hanbal answered, "My dear son, there is no faithful Muslim on this earth who can claim Yazid's friendship, and why should not I curse the man to whom Allah has cursed in the holy Quran" Sawaiq-i-Muhriqa; Ibn Hajar al-Haytami; P 132 Something is really wrong here someone is miss translating and misinterpreting something here. Not accusing you of it off course. The last Quote you've mentioned is the opinion of that scholar Qazi Thanaullah Pani Pati and based on suspicion and not on actual evidence. If what he says is true then yes Yazid is a Kafir but we don't really know that is why Yazid did all that he did. Also he is the only scholar that made Takir on him. The rest of the ones we mentioned did not and they were much closer in time to Yazid than Qazi Thanaullah Pani Pati who came a thousand years later. And Islam QA is a pretty good source of Info. They are not always right but if you have the awareness to check and verify you can be saved from their mistakes and learn about the point of views these other "Groups" of Ahlus sunnah have for one another.

Lets make one thing clear here first, I do not think Ashari are one of those who will enter the fire. They're Ahlus sunnah as you've mentioned. Salahuddin and many other great men were a part of this group. There is a whole list of them online... No way any sane Muslim would call them Kafir. What I was trying to say was that this "Group" of Ashari(Ahlus sunnah) and other "Groups" of Ahlus sunnah had difference of opinions. Some even in matters of Aqeedah. So when the scholars of each respective group would debate and write about some matters sometimes they would talk about each other. Since some of the issues were Aqeedah matters they started making Takir on each other and calling each other the worst of things and exaggerating things. Hence why I say that when it comes from the Ashari regarding a certain group of people or certain someone its better to actually find out if it really is true. Also Since you've mention this "Imam As suyuti said in his book - Ashari are the follower of imam Abu Musa al Ashari" Does that mean that the Saud in Saudi Arabia who people today call as Wahabi the Followers of muhammad ibn abd al-wahhab? Does that mean the Saud are Ahlus sunnah as well and good muslims? They are not obviously. They are Murtadeen(Apostates) for many reasons far worse then what Yazid had done. Just because they are known to be apart of a group who are Ahlus sunnah does not make them Ahlus sunnah. We have to know what they are doing and saying.

He was even accused of being a Kafir and was the most controversial figure out of the famous four. Even today there exist people who attack him and call him out on matters of Aqeedah. I see most of you hating on this Video because the Speaker praised Yazid, which is wrong. Yazid should not be praised and loved. But at the same time Most of you are also wrong in calling him a kafir and other similar comments.
When is comes to the times of after the killing of Uthmaan(RA) we have to be very careful in talking about what really happened during those times. Much of history during those times is distorted.
Many of us are misinformed regarding those events due to the Rawfidh(shia) and other similar sect influence without even realizing it.
This is what we should say regarding him according to Imam Ahmed and Ibn Taymiyah.
Shaykh al-Islam described people’s attitudes towards Yazeed ibn Mu’aawiyah, and said:
The people differed concerning Yazeed ibn Mu’aawiyah ibn Abi Sufyaan, splitting into three groups, two extreme and one moderate.
One of the two extremes said that he was a kaafir and a munaafiq, that he strove to kill the grandson of the Prophet SAWS (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) to spite the Messenger of Allaah and to take revenge on him, and to avenge his grandfather ‘Utbah, his grandfather’s brother Shaybah and his maternal uncle al-Waleed ibn ‘Utbah and others who were killed by the companions of the Prophet SAWS (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), by ‘Ali ibn Abi Taalib and others on the day of Badr and in other battles - and things of that nature. To have such a view is easy for the Raafidis who regard Abu Bakr, ‘Umar and ‘Uthmaan as kaafirs, so it is much easier for them to regard Yazeed as a kaafir.
The second extreme group think that he was a righteous man and a just leader, that he was one of the Sahaabah who were born during the time of the Prophet and were carried and blessed by him. Some of them give him a higher status than Abu Bakr and ‘Umar, and some of them regard him as a prophet. Both views are obviously false to one who has the least common sense and who has any knowledge of the lives and times of the earliest Muslims. This view is not attributable to any of the scholars who are known for following the Sunnah or to any intelligent person who has reason and experience.
The third view is that he was one of the kings of the Muslims, who did good deeds and bad deeds. He was not born until the caliphate of ‘Uthmaan. He was not a kaafir but it was because of him that the killing of al-Husayn happened, and he did what he did to the people of al-Harrah. He was not a Sahaabi, nor was he one of the righteous friends of Allaah. This is the view of most of the people of reason and knowledge and of Ahl al-Sunnah wa’l-Jamaa’ah.
Then they divided into three groups, one which cursed him, one which loved him and one which neither cursed him nor loved him. This is what was reported from Imaam Ahmad, and this is the view of the fair-minded among his companions and others among the Muslims. Saalih ibn Ahmad said: I said to my father, some people say that they love Yazeed. He said, O my son, does anyone love Yazeed who believes in Allaah and the Last Day? I said, O my father, why do you not curse him? He said, O my son, when did you ever see your father curse anybody?
Abu Muhammad al-Maqdisi said, when he was asked about Yazeed: according to what I have heard he is neither to be cursed nor to be loved. He said, I also heard that our grandfather Abu ‘Abd-Allaah ibn Taymiyah was asked about Yazeed and he said: we do not deny his good qualities or exaggerate about them. This is the fairest opinion.
Take hajjaj ibn yusuf who killed many Shahaba and Tabieen as well. Also that Asma bint Abi Bakr the mother of Abdullah ibn zubair Confirmed him to be the tyrant The messenger of Allah mentioned in a hadith.
But can we call him a Kafir? No.
If it wasn't for him Appointing Muhammad ibn al-Qasim al-Thaqafi to rescue 1 woman we in Pakistan and India and beyond would not be Muslims today.
My point is during those times of fitan its better to remain silent rather than calling out such people who did many good things mixed with many bad things. Yazid is also one of them, along side Hajjaj, and the Caliphs who tortured Iman Ahmed and killed other scholars of their times.
@@Manzar534 I'm not trying to make it a sect thing. It has become as such because of the mixing of these sects among Muslims and they don't even know they have been affected. Most of the people among the general population are ignorant of the reality of the claims they make. Its all based on emotion and effects from their peers. It could be held against them if they label him to be Kafir on the day of judgement.

Once in the gathering of Umar Bin Abdul Aziz [R.A] people talked about Yazid bin Muawiya, someone among the people mentioned Yazid with the title of Ameer ul Momineen, hearing this Hadrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz [ra] replied (in anger): You have called Yazeed Amir Ul Mominein? Then he gave order of 20 lashes to be given to the person [Imam Ibn Hajr al Asqalani in Tahdhib ut Tahdhib, Volume No. 6, Page No. 313
Imam Dhahabi said: He (Yazid) was a disgusting Nasibi (i.e. those who hate Ahlul bayt). He drank and did evil. He started his kingdom with the killing of the Shahid al-Hussain (RA) and ended it with the incident of al-Harra (i.e. besiegement of Madina which also makes him directly liable for Lanah as sahih ahadith prove). Hence the people hated him, he was not blessed in his life, and many took up arms against him after Imam Hussain (RA) such as the people of Madina - they rose for the sake of Allah

I Understand and agree that Yazid was a sinner a bad person who should not be praised. However My issue is with CALLING HIM A KAFIR; like the comment section is doing here. This is my point. If you are going to attack him then don't overstep the limits of that Allah he has set.

I've Also noticed that some people here in the comment section are actually trying to smear the image of his father Mu’aawiyah ibn Abi Sufyaan... they should be ashamed of themselves. I've provided the evidences agreeing with the Great men of our past. Just maybe only a few Scholars that if you really searched and looked hard would have made takfir on Yazid. Although I can't find a righteous scholars from the Salaf and the Kalaf calling Yazid a kafir. If you can find it show me please. I can only suspect that the source of your knowledge comes from the likes of the kuffar and conspiracy theorist or sects similar to the Rawfidh and Sufi's for you to have formed such an opinion regarding these great man of Islam.
The Scholars you've mentioned are Ash'ari. Ibn Taymiyah has been critical of that theological school of thought. so its obvious those scholars would speak ill of him.
There will always be a few scholars here and there forming negative opinions regarding other righteous scholars. We need to look at the whole picture and see the opinions of the vast majority of the ulamah and follow the Ijamah.
I stress my point again. Just like how you are affected by the Ash'ari sect the general people are also mixing with these other sects and without even realizing it they are being affected and forming opinions which could be a cause of great harm for them on the day of judgement.
Be careful of speaking ill of the great men of our past some where sinners but they also did good. Some have gone to extremes in praising them and some have gone to extremes in hating them. Both opinions being wrong. They did good and did bad as any human beings other than the prophets of Allah.

This is really good information for me and I changed my stance regarding Yazid with all this evidence that you have provided. I will still refrain from making Takir on him by calling him a Kafir but I will curse him like how many of the scholars of the past did with this overwhelming evidence. The reason why I don't want to call him a Kafir is because most of all the scholars (except the last one) you and I quoted did not do it so why should we...
Although i'm a bit skeptical about the 2nd and last evidences you've provided. As you've seen me quote Imam Ahmed say the exact opposite of what you've quoted.

Something is really wrong here someone is miss translating and misinterpreting something here. Not accusing you of it off course.
The last Quote you've mentioned is the opinion of that scholar Qazi Thanaullah Pani Pati and based on suspicion and not on actual evidence. If what he says is true then yes Yazid is a Kafir but we don't really know that is why Yazid did all that he did.
Also he is the only scholar that made Takir on him. The rest of the ones we mentioned did not and they were much closer in time to Yazid than Qazi Thanaullah Pani Pati who came a thousand years later.
And Islam QA is a pretty good source of Info. They are not always right but if you have the awareness to check and verify you can be saved from their mistakes and learn about the point of views these other "Groups" of Ahlus sunnah have for one another.

Its my fault for calling them(Ashari) a Sect and not making myself clear so that i was misunderstood.
Lets make one thing clear here first, I do not think Ashari are one of those who will enter the fire. They're Ahlus sunnah as you've mentioned.
Salahuddin and many other great men were a part of this group. There is a whole list of them online... No way any sane Muslim would call them Kafir.
What I was trying to say was that this "Group" of Ashari(Ahlus sunnah) and other "Groups" of Ahlus sunnah had difference of opinions. Some even in matters of Aqeedah. So when the scholars of each respective group would debate and write about some matters sometimes they would talk about each other. Since some of the issues were Aqeedah matters they started making Takir on each other and calling each other the worst of things and exaggerating things.
Hence why I say that when it comes from the Ashari regarding a certain group of people or certain someone its better to actually find out if it really is true.

They are not obviously. They are Murtadeen(Apostates) for many reasons far worse then what Yazid had done.
Just because they are known to be apart of a group who are Ahlus sunnah does not make them Ahlus sunnah. We have to know what they are doing and saying.

He was even accused of being a Kafir and was the most controversial figure out of the famous four. Even today there exist people who attack him and call him out on matters of Aqeedah. While I agree that we shouldn't praise Yazid ibn Muawiyah. But what your saying is extreme and wrong as well.
Shaykh al-Islam described people’s attitudes towards Yazeed ibn Mu’aawiyah, and said:
The people differed concerning Yazeed ibn Mu’aawiyah ibn Abi Sufyaan, splitting into three groups, two extreme and one moderate.
One of the two extremes said that he was a kaafir and a munaafiq, that he strove to kill the grandson of the Prophet SAWS (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) to spite the Messenger of Allaah and to take revenge on him, and to avenge his grandfather ‘Utbah, his grandfather’s brother Shaybah and his maternal uncle al-Waleed ibn ‘Utbah and others who were killed by the companions of the Prophet SAWS (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), by ‘Ali ibn Abi Taalib and others on the day of Badr and in other battles - and things of that nature. To have such a view is easy for the Raafidis who regard Abu Bakr, ‘Umar and ‘Uthmaan as kaafirs, so it is much easier for them to regard Yazeed as a kaafir.
The second extreme group think that he was a righteous man and a just leader, that he was one of the Sahaabah who were born during the time of the Prophet and were carried and blessed by him. Some of them give him a higher status than Abu Bakr and ‘Umar, and some of them regard him as a prophet. Both views are obviously false to one who has the least common sense and who has any knowledge of the lives and times of the earliest Muslims. This view is not attributable to any of the scholars who are known for following the Sunnah or to any intelligent person who has reason and experience.
The third view is that he was one of the kings of the Muslims, who did good deeds and bad deeds. He was not born until the caliphate of ‘Uthmaan. He was not a kaafir but it was because of him that the killing of al-Husayn happened, and he did what he did to the people of al-Harrah. He was not a Sahaabi, nor was he one of the righteous friends of Allaah. This is the view of most of the people of reason and knowledge and of Ahl al-Sunnah wa’l-Jamaa’ah.
Then they divided into three groups, one which cursed him, one which loved him and one which neither cursed him nor loved him. This is what was reported from Imaam Ahmad, and this is the view of the fair-minded among his companions and others among the Muslims. Saalih ibn Ahmad said: I said to my father, some people say that they love Yazeed. He said, O my son, does anyone love Yazeed who believes in Allaah and the Last Day? I said, O my father, why do you not curse him? He said, O my son, when did you ever see your father curse anybody?
Abu Muhammad al-Maqdisi said, when he was asked about Yazeed: according to what I have heard he is neither to be cursed nor to be loved. He said, I also heard that our grandfather Abu ‘Abd-Allaah ibn Taymiyah was asked about Yazeed and he said: we do not deny his good qualities or exaggerate about them. This is the fairest opinion.
