0:00 "My client is the victim here"
0:27 "My client also has to be ensured of protection"
Gee, that lawyer knows about the Batman...
0:43 "If it's suicide you're after..."
"details on the funeral" and the "prime beneficiary"... as a life insurance holder myself, that cracks me up~
1:40 "Anyone here?" - Hry
Alfred is a fucking immortal. Damn.
Nerd conspiracy theory....... Alfred has been pulling the strings this whole time.........
Nah
He died later in the movie
cough cough lazerus pit cough cough
+Elderzeth
"Well, that's done. I'm certain Master Wayne would need my assistance with the former Mutants in his next plan. Would be a real dick move for me to die now."
**stroke**
Hrs clearly bonded to the Wayne manor somehow, when it burned he was released from his curse to serve the master of the house.
if it's suicide you're after, then I have an old family recipe. it's slow and painful... you'd like it.
lmfao Alfred still as savage as ever 😂😂😂
Also asking he is still the one who inherits Wayne's wealth :D
What the hell, Alfred?
Alfred Pennyworth, the ONLY person in almost any reality, who can say anything to Batman, AND, get away with it. AND, he gets PAID for it, too!
So Batman is like 50-60 right? So Alfred is like 90 Years old now, Jeez the guy lives long, what's he doing that I'm not?
Besides being Bruce's Butler?
Alfred.. is what you call .. a Badass. Something that follows you all way until you tell death you're ready.
David Chen - probably their afternoon Tea :)
being the most badass butler
I mean he kicked superman so hard his shoe blew up, he's a fucking beast
I like how the lawyer is trying to make GPD look bad and then then Gordon says okay release him, lawyer wants him to stay in jail for protection 😂
And Commissioner Gordon not giving a #%+!
Love that bit, even the offering of gum like that’ll help lol.
I loved that moment when Gordon released that guy so quickly, and they were all worried about getting out of jail. XD
Exactly. You can see the face of the perp knowing he's fucked.
Axis personally he would've been safer in jail
notice that Femur (guy with a broken leg) went home to an abandoned apartment. you know this apartment belonged to Two-Face because the floor had 2 different floor styles. A detail that visual artists don't have to put, but means the world to people like me that they did.
I definitely noticed that
1:42 Wow, thanks for noticing and sharing, you are right!
I actually had this graphic novel, AND, the one following it, this version of the Batman, is, in MY opinion, truly the GREATEST! AND, that sellout, Clark, got what he deserved!
@@petergant148 or that's just horrible writing and editorial regarding the treatment of Clark Kent in TDKR. -_-
This detail is outlined and highlighted by batmans narration, additionally noting that the room is favouring the rotting the side, as if the rot is claiming the soul. The comic is also more graphic in the similarites between two face and batman. Every analogy for dent is an analogy for the bat. This is lost in the film, the only reason to watch the film would be because you can't afford the comic. It is quite literally the poor man's version
I only just now noticed that there's a red phone there like the old 1960's Batman show (sound effect and all) :)
The Ranger (Aragornthe5th) I thought I am the only one who noticed
@@lakshaykochhar6209 I think it’s a reference to the 60s show
I'm pretty sure this batman is suppose to be what adam west batman if he was serious
0:39
That smirk Merkel gives. 'Oooh, I get it!'
Is he also the rookie cop from the last part?
@@IxmoreAquí Merkel tiene 45 años aunque no lo parezca, aparece en Batman year one, year one es el mismo universo que este
2:15 Oh man they didnt use the best line from the comics "Yeah you got Rights, lots of them. Sometimes I count them just to make myself feel crazy"
Yeah
The sass Alfred possesses is a superpower in and of its own.
This is easily one of my favorite Batman moments, if not, my favorite. It really solidifies who Batman is and what he does in that one scene. Sure, you have rights, but Batman isn't tethered to the justice system, while at the same time, helping it.
“If it’s suicide you’re after, I have an old family recipe. Slow and painful. You’d like it.”
Alfred is always the goat in every scene he’s in
The cop's smile when he was given an order.
The look on the lawyer's face when he knew he royally screwed his client by getting him release papers
Funny how the comic is from the 80s, and the themes are still relevant today.
"If it's suicide you're looking for, I have an old family recipe. It's long and painful. I think you'd like it."
What the fuck Alfred.
releasing the crook was a tactical move to create a lead for batman to follow. Gordan released him as soon as possible and contacted Bruce to keep the trail hot.
!John*Doe! Wow, you must have watched this video or something.
@@Michaentus lmao 🤣 I didn’t pay attention to your comment till now. It’s nostalgic to read a response like this one. I wonder how long it will take to respond to this one
For some reason I never caught onto this fact despite seeing this so many times.
oh alfred you are going to live even more than batman
This Batman has my favorite voice Kevins a close second but this one takes the cake for me
Yeah, I'll admit, this voice really fits Batman. (An old Batman, like this one, to be more specific.)
Word, Kevin Conroy, Roger Craig Smith and this guy playing his voice. Maybe Troy Baker(not the best, but decent)
@ 0:51, the Batman Hotline returns!
Even as a old man Bruce still looks bigger than before
I mean how do you think he stayed retired he just pumped iron over and over and over
Gordon is badass,
and Alfred is even more so
"I'm still the prime benefitiary to your will aren't I?"
He should be
1:54 the moment that he knew he fucked up
I wonder if Bruce has Robin massaging his back now after the movie's end?
"A little to the left, Carrie."
"Cool, boss."
That's an interesting idea
I have a dirty mind
"Shes a good solidier..."
after movie's end, he has lots of street thugs to massage his back. and he has no need in that really, since he's out of business
1:09--The face when Selina calls.
Alfred is the immortal symbol of loyalty. Always have an Alfred in your corner because he’s clutch as fuck
Alfred will always be my favorite Batman character.
Ahh, Batman. The trope of Technical Pacifist. Scare the criminals so much that they hurt themselves, then threaten them that if they don't spill, he'll leave.
Reminds me that a scene where a dude uses a mook as a bullet shield, then proudly claims "I didn't kill anyone," all the while covered in mook's blood.
This scene's very badass, but it just sorta worked out for Batman. Batman didn't touch him due to his "rights", but what would Batman have done if the punk hadn't a cut himself on the glass? I'd say he just got lucky.
In the graphic novel which this video is based on, Batman says, "You're going to tell me everything you know, sooner or later. If it's later -- I won't mind." After the guy trips through the window, he says, "I've got rights.". Batman replies, "You've got rights. Lots of rights. Sometimes I count them just to make myself feel crazy..."
Howard Beatman That's very cool, but how does it answer my question?
since when has batman ever given a flying fuck about criminals' rights
That's a good point, but Batman didn't bum-rush this guy, which means he took the man's rights into consideration.
Well, Batman at this point probably knows the psychological effect he has on people, so he probably figured one look at him would send the guy into fear overdrive, so he probably knew he'd talk out of fear eventually, he just needed to say the right thing or have the right thing occur.
If you look closely at :37 you can see the younger cop have a little smirk on his face.
And here I thought Alfred was kidding. At least the 1st time I saw this. Now? Holy crap. He wasn't.
Of course Alfred is still alive.
0:30 re watching this the umpteenth time, I like how Gordon calls him by his 2 names
*Victim Here*
That's the real batman.
Why does alfred look well versed in 9 forms of martial arts
Healthy living and he used to be a somebody before the butler professional decades ago💪💪
**^profession, I meant lol
1:09 -- OH GOD, THAT BAT-SMIRK.
I like How Albert is constantly reminding him this is suicide
Alfred*
Damn Alfred some kind of immortal
I actually didn't notice Batman behind the door until I went back
The guy with the shattered femur and cast looked and sounded like Richard Watterson's Dad Frankie from TAWOG
Has Batman gone through a rapid aging machine? He's like 4 years younger than Alfred and the same age as Commisioner Gordon.
.... No. Bruce is 55 but he is more beat up now because of all the years as Batman has had him break half the bones of his body. Alfred is in his mid 80's and Commissioner Gordon is 70.
1:22
Bruce should really upgrade his batsuit.
Like in The Dark Knight, he had a batsuit with gunfire and knife and electric protection.
Like he should wear that instead the same old costume.
But you forget the fact that, if He had that stuff it would slow him down quite alot of the additional weight, thats why He didnt want to use it anymore.
how would Alfred be alive still when batman's like in his 60's
Well-Mannered Nate Seems to me Alfred's usually about 20 years older than Bruce which would make him in his 80's here. Not entirely implausible.
+Practicalidiots Bruce is 55 and Alfred is in his late 80s or early 90s
1:53 yep gussying by the floor it’s two face place
It's the old red phone to Jesus this took me back :)
Alfred, the wise ass lmao
That lawyer is captain quark.
Can belive alfred is still working for Bat's
alfred. alfred never changes
Alfred has to be about 100 years old by now and still looks like he is in in his 60's
So Batman just wears a shirt and not an armor..
His armor carries too much weight even at his age now he's faster without it.
1:20 Wait. ALFRED IS HIS PRIME BENEFICIARY?! Not Dick, Harold, Barbara, Bette, Helena, Tim, or Jean-Paul? ALFRED IS?! The one who doesn't even need it? And how in God's name would he outlive Bruce anyway?
Look at. The floor in the apartment that is beautiful.
How the hell is Alfred still alive that many years later?
...10 years?
The 2 voices I always hear when I read a Batman comic: Kevin Conroy and Peter Weller.
Alfred is the morgan freeman of this universe. He never ages
Alfred lives this long?
Damn!
All these years alfreds still there for him
Comic version was better IMO. It went something like "You've got rights. Plenty of them. Sometimes I count them just to make me feel crazy... But right now you've got a piece of glass shoved in a major artery in your arm, right now you're bleeding to death. Right now I'm the only one person in the world who can get you to a hospital in time. So how long it takes you to talk is up to you."
DC definitely took shots at Marvel in this movie.
Would have been awkward if that guy decided not to talk and died from all that blood loss, thus making Batman break his "no kill" rule.
This batman doesn't give a shit about people dying
+gorrow1990 Technically, it wouldn't have been Bats fault - the guy fell through the window by himself.. If he wants to lay there & bleed out, rather than talk, that's his prerogative...
Loopholes, baby - gotta love 'em. ;)
I assume if the guy had the balls to just sit there until he passed out from bloodloss (which Batman knows he doesn't), Batman would give him first aid to keep him alive.
And after the first aid Batman can STILL get to him.
Btw the voice actor for batman is freaking robocop
Fuck yeah, we got the bar phone from the 1966 TV show
nice batman made that guy afraid of him even more
If you think any amount of cops will stop Batman give me a second to call the national guard
Wait? Details on the funeral? Did I forget about some funeral earlier in the movie or did Bruce already let Gordon know about his plan?
Nah, Alfred's just trolling.
1:51 - Someone behind the door
Alfred I'm still the prime beneficiary of your will right lol
batman you big bad bully xD
poor old alfords gotta be like 215 years old now in this
Alfred still as spry as ever. The guy has been like 50 for the past century
A world with out Terry
Me: how is Alfred still alive!?!?!?
I saw this move a while ago anybody know where to get the physical copy like dvd or VHS
"No charge against him." Really? What about shooting machine gun at the police officer? (aka attempted murder) Not to mention the public endangerment when he was driving wildly.
Hell even having the machine gun on his person.
0:41 “Oh shit” 😧😰
funny guy that lawyer, he probably wanted Gordon to fight him on the release. tie up the courts...so Bats doesn't get a second chance
how the hell is Alfred still alive he must be a immortal
Holy shit what the hell does Alfred do to stay alive how old is he?
No cigar
Gordon looks younger than bruce
99,000 + views. 0 dislikes.
Good adaptation but still doesn't beat the original.
Alfred’s still alive?
How the fuck is Alfred still alive
How old is Alfred ? Like he’s almost same age as Batman
Alfreds 90
so how old is alfred like 72 or 68 because alfred was like 50 somthing
200
lol at 0:40
A typo lol
Oh geez
Dude shot at a police officer with a machine gun. How is that NOT an arrestable offense?
I think it’s cause Batman having a hand in it is overshadowing what the criminals actually do.
how in the fuck Alfred is still alive
Wtf how is Alfred still alive
I like alfreid
2:12
0:40
0:26. Yeah a victim who shot a what's most likely a illegal machine gun at a police officer. On purpose.
Can this be considered being a dirty cop?
Gum anyone?
idk but if i was that age and still wanted to be batman, i would of kept a lazerus pit sample and baythed in it even if it turend him in yo a 40 year old it still enough to kick some ass
this batman gives no fucks
Precisely lone wanderer 93
