Hi babes! As promised here is part 2 on some tips and tricks to help you plan your dream destination wedding. In this video I wanted to spend a good amount of time talking about concessions and sharing my experience with using them. Wedding planning can be a pain and with it being an out of the country event can be even more challenging so I hope this video helps!

Thank you so much for all the destination wedding videos! I am planning my wedding next year at this resort and your videos are very helpful. i have a question about the night life at the resort. I have a two year old so I am looking into family resorts such as this one, but still want that adult only resort vibe for my guests! 1) because this is a family resort, were there a lot of children( my fiancé and I are used to going to adult only resorts without children)? 2) most of the video reviews on this resort all seem to be empty or boring? how did you feel about the night scene? were there a lot of fun activities for your party to enjoy outside of the events you provided? knowing what you know now, would you do anything differently? can you provide the name of the facebook groups you talked about.
You're welcome ! Okay so your questions in order: 1) I don't remember seeing any kids except for the ones in my family that came. Keep in mind I stayed on the excellence side of the resort which of course is adults only. 2) I have heard the same thing but I think i lucked up & picked a super fun week to go because it landed on Halloween week. So they had 2 really big celebrations at the resort (live music, acrobat's etc.) I also did a welcome party and obviously the wedding itself so I think my guest had PLENTY to don't in the evenings.

Thank you for this! So frustrated. I was NEVER offered Tier info until I saw it in the group I joined. I've already signed my contract. I've emailed Christine, Eva, Milena, Ariana - Eva gave me the initial proposal info like you read. When did you get presented with the Tiers? I have asked them to change my contract (because Tiers aren't even mentioned). Any suggestions? You slayed the process. Thank you.
You are so welcome! i'm not sure if you have heard back from them but I'm sure they will offer you concessions I haven't heard of any brides that weren't offered at least something. From my understanding there were different tier packages floating around so I wanted to make sure that I got the highest one. I asked for the concessions that I would be offered after getting the initial group proposal and told her I wouldn't sign anything until I saw the concession package.
My best advice to you is to be persistent because unfortunately the sales department is the only one that can help you with that the one located in Panama
My fiance best friend will be doing her makeup and our good friend will be performing ceremony so we won’t be using their person. You feel these would warrant the outside vendor fee?
I honestly don't know how strict they are and I think it really depends on who you're wedding coordinator is honestly. You probably will not get away with the outside vendor fee for the ceremony though.
I love that you did not let them play games with you and these concessions. Did they tell you that rooms booked with kids in them didn’t count towards concessions?
I might be reading the concession wrong where they mean we can’t redeem the free 7 night stay on a room with children.
Girl yes ! I was NOT playing with them at all! lol and I am not 100% sure. However I do recall reading in one of the Facebook groups that someone with a similar situation ended up letting a A family member have their comped room on paper and once they were reimbursed for the room they just gave them the check. But I think that was a long time ago because I don't think they do checks anymore and they definitely were sticklers about making sure that the accommodation that was comped was just for my husband and I. If there is anyone else in your wedding party staying seven nights of course you could stick them in that room on paper and have them sleep with you & and pay the difference for the child on that room.

Hey! Looking into booking my wedding here in 2025. Do you think you definitely need outside vendors? Is the decor and photography not good at all? Just asking for advice
Hey girl! Of course I got married back in 2022 so things are quite different including the outside vendor fees (from what I've heard) but at the time it was actually more cost efficient for me to get florals and decor off of the resort with the outside vendor fees included. And I definitely think that the pictures and video is going to boil down to preference. I think you could be happy with what they provide on the resort, but I wanted something different and I was very adamant on how I wanted my video to look.
Hi Naadia. I am booked with Finest, and my confirmation letter from them specifically states that the free 5-night stay must be used within the first year. Here is the verbiage: "Return Stay for Bride & Groom. 1-year validity from the wedding date at same hotel where the
wedding has been taking place. The certificate will be given in the lowest room category. The bride
and groom can extend their stay after the wedding and using the certificate, subject to availability." NOTE that it says you can use it to extend your stay after the wedding and use the certificate then. You may want to confirm with them again the dates that is valid. I'd hate for you to miss out on that concession.

It says: Please find attached your Return Stay certificate to be used during next year from October 29th, 2023 until October 29th, 2024 please be kindly informed that this voucher is only applicable at Finest Resort Playa Mujeres for five nights in a Junior Suite spa or pool view room category.
Always changing the verbiage so double is always a good idea😊

When do they offer these? My fiancé and I already booked our room so now I’m worried we can’t get that option and also have 50+ rooms getting booked.
Hi I specifically requested my concessions prior to signing anything or picking my day. I wanted to make sure that I was offered the concession package that I wanted. When they give you the promo code, they will probably also offer you concessions as well.
Do you regret not getting a TA?
I don't but I am one that really enjoys planning events, if you don't I would def recommend using a TA (me) haha. I enjoyed the process so much I decided to become one 🥰

I don't know how long it takes to get accepted in the Facebook group, but I don't remember it taking too long. However, the group was about half the size when I initially joined.

If you work with a travel agent and they offer your guests a flight + hotel package deal does that mean you can’t get concessions? Trying to figure out if the promo code is only if you book directly through their website?
Hi Samantha ! I am actually a travel agent, and each resort you will find a different answer.

@@NaadiaAron Hi Naadia! Oh interesting. Yes, Finest specifically!
@@samanthasequeira1515 for Finest specifically, you may make use of a travel agent for booking the rooms only in order to receive credit towards the concessions. It is the same way with booking directly through them without a travel agent, they will not allow flight and room combos to be counted towards the room count for concessions.
@@NaadiaAron hmm right! So if you’re doing a flight hotel combo with a travel agent you basically get zero concessions? 👎
@@samanthasequeira1515 it works like that either way if you work with the promo code directly through the resort, flight and room package deals, do not count towards your concessions. Are you currently working with a TA?

You probably are using the correct contact they only have one email for the sales department, I know from speaking to other brides that they are super Duper behind on inquiries as some months in 2024 have already booked up

Hi! I recommend taking a look at the first video I go into detail about the cost of the vendors i personally used and the breakdown on the cost per guest after the included number that comes in each package♥️
Sorry but that doesn't help. Can you just tell us what you spent because you got concessions which you didn't mention what you got as concessions which takes away from your total price.
