Join me for a full review of this fantastic low cost Kayak on both inflating it and what its like on the water and if you are considering buying an inflatable kayak then take a look at my video and hope it helps you to decide.

    they're a great starter ... I did develop a leak after a few trips and I quite sure that developed from just inflating it ... I got stuck on a shallow inlet with an oyster shell bottom yesterday and now I need to find another not obvious leak ... if not for those problems I'd definitely recommend this for a beginning kayaker lacking space for storage ... I'll be upgrading to an inflatable with a protective out layer sometime in the future

    • @thetramblingman463
      @thetramblingman463  Před 3 lety +3

      leaks can be a problem I mitigate that by wearing a shorty wetsuit and get out the kayak at around waste deep in water than carry it out ....Beach landings where its rocky or sharp is certainly an Achilles heel

    Got mine for $80! For about $110 total, got boat, wet shoes, and life vest. Not too bad imo. One reviewer mentioned not inflating seat bottom much if you want to sit lower in the boat. Maiden voyage this weekend so I’ll try both ways as I’m 5’8”, lol.

    4 minutes?? It took me more like 40 minutes to set it up, with a foot-pump (didn't have the pump that comes with it new). Going out to buy a battery-powered pump today. Otherwise, very happy with my first trip down the Bow River in it, a mostly 'lazy' river, with some choppy bits, particularly on a windy day, as yesterday was. Used my own, heavier, paddle. Only half-filled the bottom of the seat to aid stability. I just left the skeg in place when I packed it up; wasn't immediately apparent to me how to 'unclip' it. A bit of a challenge getting all the water out after. As a first-time kayaker (as opposed to rubber-dinghy pool-toy-er), I highly recommend it.

      totally agree its a lot of rolling. I bought a different pump with an inflation/deflation opening. this helps as the pump that comes with the kayak is pretty poor then you can roll a little of the boat until you feel the air then go to the pump and suck it out then roll a bit more
