Don't just beat the game...BRUTALIZE IT!!! - Hry
“If it has a duration, it’s a priming power. If it’s a one hitter, it’s a detonator.”.
The easiest/best explanation of combo powers I’ve ever heard. Thank you so much
Right on - of course ME3 crosses that up with just about every cross class ability detonates another, duration or not lol. Even the soldier abilities, which is, of course awesome to experiment with
"They can not kill you if they're dead"
You just changed my entire play style lol
Was hoping for a necromancer class... guess I chose the wrong game lol
Soon 2019 and still playing these games shows just how good they are
Dire Wolf Indeed . My friends are all playing Anthem and RDR2 and I’m here still re playing Mass Effect games and ninja Gaiden
Ben Covarrubias RDR2 is good, unless your just saying new games are bad
WeenIsLickAh RDR2 is good but the first one was way better . IMO
Ben Covarrubias I guess your right I loved RDR’s story, such a gem
2020 woot woooot
This is great advice for the Legendary Edition, thanks for the awesome tips. Just the basic notion of “if they’re off their feet they can’t hurt you” helped me basically walk through ME1 on Insanity.
The views here are gonna sky rocket when Mass Effect Legendary Edition comes out.
Definitely, why I'm here
This will come in handy for the Remastered Trilogy in May 2021!
Can't wait.
@@NinjaFlipsTV 12 days to go ohhhhhhhhhhh yeahhhhhhhhhhhhh
Watching this now to play today the remastered Trilogy!
Yessir!!!! one hour!!!
Speaking to you from May 2021 and it is indeed helpful!
I did adept for every Mass Effect game on hardcore and insanity difficulties
I had such a blast using my biotic powers like a beast in these games
ME1.... the reason I purchased a XB360 back in the day. Brutalized that game, lost count of the full games I played. Ex-wife took it in the divorce. So I bought it off Steam and got all the achievements again lol
You go man!
Why did she take it?
brutal dude.
this is why you turn gay, trust me, you wont ever look back, i would know ;)
Smart men don't get married
ME2 and 3, vanguard class. Inferno ammo maxed , nova and biotic charge maxed, focus on damage and cool down. You’re a living ballistic missile
Wow thank you for the guide. Somehow just playing these games for the very first time in 2023…consuming all of my free time currently and I couldn’t be happier about it
For me the best squad for ME1 is Liara and Kaidan, they can keep enemies floating forever, Kaidan is one super underated character.
Personality wise Kaiden is boring. But of course that's a good combo, you have the two best biotics in the game and if you are adept or vanguard its even more overpowered.
omg yes! Liara and Kaiden are best squadmates in ME1, Ashley is by far the worst, ive never understood why so many people rate Garrus and Wrex, they're not great, Tali is basically same as Garrus
I always enjoyed Wrex and Kaiden. Kaiden’s neural shock is a gem of a power.
I used Wrex and Liara as an Adept shep during my Insanity playthrough of 1. Chose Ash on Virmire because i never have kept her before. Good to have a meat shield as an Adept and he didn’t die that easy even on Insanity
@@GymmyRhys probably for their personality and story
Man am I glad I came across this before the new release! Nice work Ninja!
Happy Legendary Edition day folks!
Finally the dream came true. Mass Effect for PS4 on May 14 2021. Woo hoo!
2022. and still replaying with different classes and battle tactics. I LOVE the tactical aspect of the gun fights. and the different battle field scenarios.
Finally working on my insanity difficulty runthrough
thanks man, I'm using my level 60 soldier currently. ME1 is the one only I haven't beaten on insanity.
The ME3 Sentinel is a one person walking combo experience .
Vanguard too. I just think vanguard is a lot of fun in ME3
Good video and good explanations, thanks man! :D
The Legendary Edition was a dream come true. Sci fi/fantasy and RPGs are like my two favorite things, loved Baldurs Gate, DA and KOTOR from this bioware team and Ive iterally been waiting to play ME for like a decade but never had Xbox or a decent PC. Just started ME3 after devouring 1&2 with my boyscout Shepard and holy shit this is epic. Hard to think of a more epic franchise tbh, where your choices and actions feel like they really matter. Thanks for breaking this down so well , I havent seen such a good, simple breakdown on the principles (priming and detonate) that makes it a lot simpler to build characters without nitpicking everything. Went vanguard in ME2 and it took me about half way to get the hang of it, and if I had seen this vid before I'd have had a much easier time on Hardcore lol. Thanks! Great content. Easy sub :)
Thanks. I envy you, getting to play this for the first time, wish I could do that and experience it like that all over again
A very helpful video and spoiler free, here’s a sub.
In ME1 you can play as a light armor class and use the "equip any armor" glitch to wear heavy armor or medium. High level armors will also have more than 1 upgrade slot so you could run a shield booster plus something else (more shields, more armor, health regen etc).
I just tried ME1 insanity on the legendary edition (because original gameplay is too bad before) and I found out that ME1 insanity is not so difficult. Pay attention to snipers, husks, throian husks, and rockets, and you'll do fine.
The enemies did more damage overall in the OG, tho snipers and Thorians are still nasty
The gameplay was fine, as long you avoid to be too greedy and try to be "Rambo all over your enemies".
When you just can headshot everyone in sight it's become clear of why the Legendary Edition is so easy in comparison with the original game.
My fave is Engineer by a wide margin, they are equipped to deal with everything and it doesn't matter who you take as a squadmate. Inferno grenade with area overload is devastating. I'll admit I'm a much better player after some multiplayer practice but my Eng insanity run is way fun and still pretty easy.
what about that Tanix missile place with all the Banshees and brutes
It's interesting watching this in 2020. Back in the day the recommended build for easily coasting through ME1 on Insanity was to play a Soldier since you could basically become completely invulnerable and just solo everything. Adept was my first playthrough class and I remember at the time people thought they were kind of weak. I love seeing the evolution of strategies in games like this.
Soldier = boring.
@@NinjaFlipsTV Yeah it was kind of fun going Terminator on things for a bit but I remember that being my least favorite playthrough back when I originally did all of my ME1 runs. I just purchased the PC versions and just started a fresh Infiltrator for a full trilogy run. I loved Infiltrator in 2 and 3 but never played it in 1 so hopefully it will hold up.
"They can not kill you if they're dead" is also my rule of thumb XDDD I've always been a "the faster you can kill them, it doesn't matter if you're squishy"
Honestly for ME3, I've found with Amplification on the soldier class, you can prime and detonate with concussive shot.
As for Squadmates in ME3 I run with Ashley and Garrus they both can use the N7 Typhoon, and disruptor ammo gets bonuses against shields and barriers in 3 while Garrus has AP ammo for Armor and Health, I myself run Cryo and honestly with the N7 Typhoon i've seen Garrus alone drop a banshee in seconds on insanity.
I believe that is the famous God Garrus build and I agree it just shreds anything on any difficulty. I love it lol.
Just repurchased the trilogy to replay this classic. Can't wait.
Remastered Trilogy announced for May 😃
rip timing bro
This is helping me on the legendary edition lol.
Relevant for remaster
Yeah, I'm doing my first Insanity run. ME1 was a joke because of Barrier, but I died a bunch to the tutorial mechs in 2.
During my replay as an Adept Shepard, i feel like if you are an Adept, Liara uses her usefulness, and Tali and Garrus (also to an extended Kaidan) bring a very powerful team, i used my other squadmates just for fun during sidequests, but mainly i feel like for an Adept, Garrus and Tali is the smartest move and almost every situation can be dealt with.
just play as Vanguard in ME1 instead of Adept, and choose Singularity as bonus power. Only difference is that Vanguard has Assault Training whereas Adept has crappy Stasis. The Vanguard can also wear medium armor whereas Adept can only wear light. Vanguard also can specialise in Nemesis, so no difference there. Vanguard passive is 10% weapon damage whereas Adept is 14% power recharge speed, i guess its up to you which one has better passive.
TLDR;
Vanguard: Assault Training, Medium Armor, 10% weapon damage
Adept: Stasis, Light Armor, 14% power recharge speed
The winner is pretty clear to me
Sorry I know it's been a freaking year but:
If you go with Adept and choose the bastion upgrade, then you can damage enemies while they're in stasis. This makes the adept the best class for ME1, unmatched
@@knytlite ik that Adept has Bastion, Bastion isnt very good, being able to damage enemies while in Stasis is not that great because Lift/Singularity does the same thing plus more. Lift/Singularity also immobilises enemies, and you can damage them and it has an AOE. Stasis on the other hand has no AOE and for some reason has to be upgraded for you to be able to damage enemies with it, as if Stasis isnt bad enough already. Stasis is literally a Lift/Singularity with no radious
😮 the legendary edition though ❤
this game is funny, on the beggining it was challenging on normal, and after that you can " solo " insanity easly with every class...
Garrus with Adrenaline Rush in ME1 is nasty. Don’t need hack Geth if you can hit everything with Overload, Sabotage, and Dampening x2.
Basically, yeah
it is interesting to see the amount of abilities decresing somehow ...
I'm going to go for a insanity engineer run now that I have a better understanding of this now.
wonder if the lift without breaking shield will still work in the remaster.
The difficulty pinnacle of Mass Effect is a fresh, no bonuses insanity run in ME2. I've done that a few times now. Unlocked all the achievements on first xbox then PC. And made sure to start over new games instead of replaying. I tried a couple of new game+ runs, but those were just clearly easy mode after you already did the fresh insanity.
I'm reinstalling right now and I'll just see if I still got it, lol. Hope I don't get wrecked too hard.
Really? Hmm. In my experience, an import start on insanity is the hardest, as the enemies are scaled, but your gear is not.
@@NinjaFlipsTV a high level ME2/3 start is harder because enemies are scalled to you while a higher level for you doesnt make you much more better because you can only use one power at a time anyway (global power cooldown), because of this; leveling up in 2/3 actually makes the game harder lol. ME1 got this right where leveling up actually scales you to the enemies correctly
technically soldier is sort of the best in that you can use all weapons, abilities you can just add through squadmates and disable auto-use, but have fun shooting the same 2 weapons throughout all of ME2
Great video. I had forgotten how to insanity after all these years.
Btw, is the name of this channel a Bobby Kelly reference?
Nah, more a Dark Souls reference.
@@NinjaFlipsTV Dark wood grain for ever.
REMASTER THIS TRILLOGY ALREADY FFS
I am ready!
I have great news!
@@VoidSolid What's that? A terrible company is going to convince a bunch of marks to buy the same games twice allowing them to continue producing garbage while being buoyed by nostalgia?
@@fouronetwo813 im just happy I can play in 60fps and have all the dlcs, plus I heard mass effect 1 is getting a ACTUAL remaster with mass effect 2 gunplay. So im excited
Remastered Trilogy announced! Coming out in May!
Who else is here bc they can’t decide what class to choose?
For MassEffect 1 yeah all those CZcamsr mushrooms nobody says really about the game the speak for themselves im sure cuz its vs geths its good to play with tank soldier & same squad members or engineer to hack them easy.If you are trophy hunters guy's cuz really is too childish game the worst from the trilogy.
Plus remember most of them the use PC & if insanity is insane for platforms then is hard/normal for PC the difference between PC & platform insanity it's huge😂but noobs use PC what 2do?😅😂
Yes bro engineer for insanity but there are some trophies if I remember you must play a little bit with adept/soldier&???idk
Viewing in 2021, playing legendary edition right now.
All i did was spam throw for mass effect 1-3 and for andromeda i just did throw then charge and spammed that. Use cover and spam throw literally carried me through every singe mass effect.
And these become even more relevant now on 2021 since we have the legendary edition
indeed. playing again and my mass is erect!
Man, boitics were stupid OP in ME: 1
I'm a tech cuz I'm an IT nerd IRL... man it's boring cuz I was a biotic last playthrough and no throw/ lift is HORRIBLE... lol not really but yeah.
BTW, been streaming on Twitch for quite a while now. www.twitch.tv/ninjaflipstv
On the ME3 clip you use basic attack after charge or is it another ability?
Nova
Yeah, sorry for the dumb question haha. Started the 3 yesterday on insanity with that build and had no problems at all. It's OP.
I need play and beat mass effect 2 on insanity. Its only ME games of the original trilogy I haven't done. I was thinking about playing engineer class or infiltrator. Bringing Miranda looks like a good choice what about Tali??
engineer is super easy fot me 2. he has everything. With infilitrator I had a hard time on insanity even its my " main " specialization. Miranda is always a good choice. Tali, I dont like her personally, but Grunt is always good on insanity. He is a living "drone " that can take a lot more firepower and tank it.
yeah I'm using Miranda and Grunt. I am infiltrator right now gonna beat the game on easy(got all the DLC done) and move onto insanity
ME2 and 3 are easy on Insanity.. ME1 is were the challenge really lies since biotics are OP in the game.
@@millabasset1710 I had no real problem with mass effect 1 and 3. Mass effect 2 is so fucking hard as hell.
With the build he uses in me3, you don't need squadmates 😊 I made the same build, and absolutely cheese everything... even banshees are a piece of cake
Personally I like to roll Soldier, Garrus, and Ash. Assault rifles in 1. Sniper rifles in 2 and 3. Just swap ammo based on what I'm fighting.
I’m currently on ME2 on a paragon insanity run, no new game plus
I promise y’all, infiltrator is broken
The beginning of any of these games is just stupid hard, but it basically becomes normal mode after like 1/3 of the game
I'm currently blazing through Mass Effect 1 as a Vanguard on Insanity with no problem.
Right now I'm thinking I'm not going to be able to do the same thing in Mass Effect 2 with the Vanguard..
Any suggestions before I hit Mass Effect 2?
Enemies are alot more aggressive in ME2. They like to rush
You get to play with Charge in ME2. Charge is super powerful, as it deals damage, staggers, and refills your shields all at once. Very useful. And even moreso in ME3 because you can pair it with Nova. Can go almost an entire game without firing a single shot, even on insanity.
To me the Engineer and Sentinel classes in ME2 and 3 make the other classes feel half finished by comparison.
Vanguard in me3 make all class look like joke. No need to use gun or hide behind drone.
@@laujack24 Cheesing the game seems more jokey to me but ok...
@@nathanlevesque7812 If you're playing on Insanity, it's not cheese. It's survival.
@@johnhouston1590 Insanity isn't even hard tho, and the right Vanguard build is virtually impossible to lose with lol
I’m considering playing the trilogy with a Vanguard is it a good class
It's by far my favourite class in 2 and 3. In ME1, I think the adept with shotgun specialisation is much better, while holding the same playstyle.
@@psychoblighty8942 nope, Vanguard with Singularity is better than Adept with Shotgun.
Specialisation is better? Adept has Bastion speciality which is crap while Vanguard has Shocktrooper speciality which is better
Just play as Vanguard in ME1 instead of Adept, and choose Singularity as bonus power. Only difference is that Vanguard has Assault Training whereas Adept has crappy Stasis. The Vanguard can also wear medium armor whereas Adept can only wear light. Vanguard passive is 10% weapon damage whereas Adept is 14% power recharge speed, i guess its up to you which one has better passive.
TLDR;
Vanguard: Assault Training, Medium Armor, 10% weapon damage
Adept: Stasis, Light Armor, 14% power recharge speed
The winner is pretty clear to me
The Vanguard is a risky DPS character with high skill ceiling and low durability in the 2nd and 3rd game, its recomended on low difficulty but not on high difficulty, the Vanguard is worst in 2nd game. The Vanguard is the best class in ME1. Good luck trying to play with Vanguard in ME2 on Insanity difficulty lol
@@GymmyRhys Finished?
@@GymmyRhys no, vanguard is definitely the most op in the 2nd game
Is this a custom HUD?
? No, PS3
Where you got that question from?
Can somebody plz explain difference for example : use shield boost and map shield boost ??? English isnt my native language..
Map means assign ability to a hot key/d-pad
@@NinjaFlipsTV but isnt the d pad is used to order teammates ?
Yes I'm sorry I mean bumper buttons or Y/triangle
Lol never did any of this I just did a normal playthrough doing whatever so long as I hit max lol then I just blasted through insanity always taking out the enamys that rush you first then picking off the rest
Today is the day
I’m here after remastered
Liara is nice but all of your squadmates in ME1 are op af. Wrex has good biotic abikities and he has barrier and immortality so you can send him to aggro enemies and he does great damage. As long as you have at least one biotic and one tech person in your squad you'll be fine. I basically only ever used Ashley is about the only one I hardly ever used unless I had Kaidan or Garrus. She does a lot of damage and can tank a lot of damage but doesnt have much survivability or utility. Her and Garrus are perfect when pursuing the Haliat when you get reports of nukes being planted.
you can beat entire trilogy on insanity with just soldier class. I didn't hotkey or really use abilities. Me, garrus whichever krogan is available = gg
You can't choose warp & overload as bonus powers...
You have to unlock them as bonus powers from their achievements, as you do with all bonus powers.
@@DigitalVanquish hes talking about when the video uploader said about using Warp and Overload as bonus powers in ME2. You cant choose Warp and Overload as bonus powers in ME2/3. What you're talking about is to do with ME1
There's also a stupid op soldier concussive shot build.
thats my fav one :D its super stupid but its super fun and funny :D
In other words, in mass effect one biotics are your friend
😎1Legendary2Edition3😎
Miranda is a must for ME2 but I have no idea why you would take Jack.
Squad Warp ammo is nice for smgs.
Ninja Flips Already had it. Makes sense though if you don’t.
Cos titties
Yeah Jack is awful. If you want squad ammo just take Warp ammo as your bonus power.
@@bagamer13 Squad Ammo is better than Single Level 4 ammo. 120% damage vs 60%
In 2022, Toaster agrees with this video
THE Toaster, BTW.
Vanguard just seems like a bad idea. Charging in to die basically and it's even worse in ME1. If you're doing Insanity for the first time go either Soldier or Infiltrator.
Adept is good for ME1 as well. In ME2, where the balance is dog shit, anything but adept is good. In ME3, its all good, until you fight Kai Leng. Notoriously unbalanced in that fight. Thanks for checking out my video btw
@@NinjaFlipsTV I wonder if that was some kind of vengeance against how OP Adept was (in ME1). Either way, Miranda with her Warp/Overload + team passive skills, Shield Drain (or even Stasis that can bypass all protections) as Bonus Power, and Jacob's Squad Incendiary Ammo evolution can give you a fighting chance. I guess
My second fav game all time so don't get me wrong. But this game is straight far too ez on Insanity
Too complicated.......... Pick soldier and shoot everything that moves......
Garrus does not have carnage, Vega does. Garrus has overload. I finished me multiple times, and I couldn't disagree with you more. yes, power explosions are very powerful, but they are just one way of playing. I, for one, prefer peeling and gunning my opponents down.
Best tip is play on console for free aim assist.
ME1: Soldier with unlimited Immunity and you can melee a Thresher Maw on Insanity. You can play absolutely braindead because you have godmode on.
Not playing soldier then....
@@NinjaFlipsTV the best builds for Insanity are the ones who break the game after all 🤷♂️
the problem is... i really really don´t like miranda :D
... Builds? A max level Shepard and complimenting crew with badass armor, X Spectre - Master Gear is easy to beat Insanity with. I'm surprised that there are videos.
Well, you did stop to look at it. Thanks for that, even with the 'duh, isn't it simple for everyone?' condescending troll passive aggressive comment.
Well that wasn't the intention but hey, whatevs. I was just surprised that videos exist.
I agree, Mass Effect 1's insanity mode is only a challenge for the early game. End game? Laughable. Level 20+ you're already OP. If you're still dying, it's because of dumbass mistakes.
Yes builds, moron. You know, the concept of choosing a class, skills, and specific teammates. Utterly stupid and trash comment.
Bro you're such a pussy
Lot of bad advice here. Lift is nothing compared to singularity. Additionally, decryption and electronics do a lot more than just let you loot. They also do shit like buff abilities and expand tech explosions. And then there’s damping…
This mass effect 2 insanity guide is all wrong and wouldn't help at all.
This is NOT 100% MassEffect let's play.Give intel I finished 2 & 3 with all characters both there are so many intel, tips in 3 you pass a group of hard enemies with tactical Cloak its for noobies the infiltrator at insanity. Then MassEffect 2 without soldier you don't have weapons so it's a little bit harder 😉. Now about MassEffect1 it was so childish & I gave it to my friends son😂
This vanguard is good for easy parts on insanity & when you start insanity you never change it to pass through difficult missions after 13 years I know what im saying.Even if I don't like soldier/engineer & infiltrator are the only ones for easy insanity from start of mass effect 2 until the end of 3 specific soldier.
Really this is your best favorite game & weapons are useless vs powers WTH boy. Maybe mass effect 1 yes when I first buy the trilogy I give to some kids mass effect 1 cus it's the worst from the trilogy, worst game generally speaking. But mass 2&3 bioware was pioneers & about the weapons when you play fast with soldier insanity you need weapons ONLY if you play adept or vanguard or you gonna die alot or you gonna play very carefully until the end. Mass 3 it's easier using powers but again you must play slowly 🐌 carefully 😉
