She wrote the song after she had an argument with her mother. When the song was done her parents heard the song and where amazed and said to her: you have created something amazing.
I just realised this is 21 years ago..... it is such a great song, Krezip is still an amazing band!
I was there, they were so young and endearing! Imagine how they felt, sharing the stage with such big acts, Pinkpop is known worldwide.
They got very lucky.
Krezip had recently signed with the same booking company as Anouk
Not long before that edition of Pinkpop Anoek canceled because of personal reasons.
The booking company said they would put on another act instead of Anouk and if it flopped the performance would be free, if it was successful the Pinkpop organizers would still pay the booking company the same amount as for the Anoek performance.
And this is how Krezip ended up on the main stage.
I believe she was only 17 in this concert pretty amazing
So glad Krezip decided to make a comeback after 10 years, love them they make very good music

I've always loved the energy of Jacqueline. She and this band never were afraid to choose and follow their own path in music. I admire that. Sweet memories of a band that created some real beauties.Jacqueline ... she just makes me smile every single time.

Annelies Govaert (piano) and Floor Jansen were together in the very first class of 1997 at the Rock academy in Tilburg in the Netherlands.
both Krezip (Annelies) and After Forever (Floor) are student bands from that time.

At that time, and kinda still, she was the nations darling, everybody adored her and her band (many still do!).
She's known to be one of the most gentle young ladies in the business, funny too, a bit silly and a great singer.
I think (95% sure) Krezip was the first band that graduated from the Rock Academy to strike big success. (many followed their success, Floor Jansen, Danny Vera and quite a few others)
At that time, they were arguably the most popular (Dutch) band in the Netherlands, the band recently got back together after a hiatus of a good few years in which the ladies became mothers and raised their children, now the kids are old enough, they've been performing again every now and then. (unsure if they are working on new material, others might know)
This song in particular blew up like nobodies business, it was everywhere and unlike most hits you cannot escape from if you wanted to, this song didnt get old and too overplayed.

Just brilliant! I saw Krezip at the Pinkpop festival in 2019. They really are amazing! The singer lives in my city of Haarlem. She sometimes sings at local festivals or simply in her neighborhood. People love it!

@@vlinder6329 nee, er is een aflevering van een ander programma geweest waar de Rock Acedemie in beeld kwam. Dat waren de oefenlokalen van de school. De aflevering met Danny Vera en Floor was niet op de school gefilmd.

The singer of this band is Jacqueline Govaert. She attended the Rock Academy in Tilburg in 1999, the year the academy started. Her classmates were Floor Jansen and Danny Vera. On a Dutch TV show called De Reunie (The Reunion) the people of this class were invited on the show after 16 years to see what has become of them.

The 2 singers from Krezip are my family. Thier last name is Govaert and that's the same is my last name. My father spoke with one of the 2 singers some years ago after Thier live performance and they are pretty much sure that it's far away family. I always tell people that it's my family 😂

Krezip is one of my favorite's. They are life ver, very good. Krezip was once in the pre show of Bon Jovi. Jacqueline and Floor were classmates on the Dutch Rockacademy.

So far I haven't had any reactions or that he reacted to any of my requests maybe he only reacts to the requests of the patreon members. Since they are paying. A lot of reactors do that.
@@chrissturkenboom6080 He doesn't. He is one of the only reactors that really does all requests he gets. But the list is like 2000+ long already. Usually of the 12+ video's he does, 5 or 6 are paid. The others are free. Have had some of mine free requests done already

You don”t have to like their music, but they ate definately no one day flies. They made many cd’s and had many hits and sold out Ziggo Dome multiple times in 2019.
