Jessie (Elizabeth Berkley), Slater (Mario Lopez), Zach (Mark-Paul Gosselaar), Kelly (Tiffani Thiessen), and Lisa (Lark Voorhies) head to The Max to take a trip down memory lane and remember their departed friend, Screech (Dustin Diamond). (Season 2 Episode 1).
Synopsis: In Season 2 of Peacock’s hit comedy Saved by the Bell, Bayside High gears up to compete in the Southern California School Spirit Competition. Daisy is determined not to get sidetracked by “Bayside nonsense,” but when a cute new student is elected student council VP, she finds herself in way over her head. Mac sees the competition as a way to finally step out from his father’s shadow; Jamie leans on Lexi in the wake of his parents’ divorce while Lexi finds herself in conflict with Jamie’s ex Aisha; Aisha seeks a new outlet after football is canceled; DeVante finds love with a rich Bayside girl, and Slater and a newly single Jessie grow closer despite their tumultuous romantic past.

@@stansmith8499 not being included in Season 1 hardly means he was ignored. He was mentioned, with the clear intention of bringing him back in a later season if possible. Dennis Haskins wasn't in the reboot either and he's clearly not taking it personally. Stop inventing a reason to be offended.

Saved By The Bell was one of my favorite shows in both the remainder of middle school and high school! Loved this show & the cast. Great tribute to Screech who helped make the show what it was!

When Slater softly says “yeah” at 1:19, I can kind of relate to his reverence because of how much this silly little show was such a big part of my childhood.

I try not to show my emotions too often, but this brought a few tears to my eyes. I am so happy that the rest of the cast have found it in their hearts to finally forgive Dustin Diamond and this is such an excellent way to honor his memory and pay tribute to him and the character of Screech. We miss you Dustin!
I mean it's most obvious that he passed away, but in season 1 they mentioned him being in space. Maybe, he got lost on the mission in space or found a new world. I like to think there is may endings fitting for such a great character from my childhood.
Season 1 was before he passed away. They were most likely hoping that his legal troubles would settle down and he could come back in a later season. Instead, sadly, he died before they could do that.

Me, too. I wish they would have focused on the original characters and the original background cameos (like twin sisters, nerds, Ox, etc) about honoring Screech for 20 minutes instead of the new main characters. Better saved it for the new main characters in Episode 2.
