Those of us old enough to recall reading and writing books, articles and essays without the glib ease of cut and paste and cheat websites, we know how to argue a point and defend a position. We may also know how to concede graciously and, horror of horrors, even rethink a position if someone offers a compelling argument.
I had a recent act of vandalism to my property. I had the names and addresses if a witness and the perpetrator. I even told the police how to investigate it but they dropped the case. Meanwhile if we state biological reality we could be criminalised. Scotland is an embarrassment.

Happened to me, Jenny, but there is now, in England and Wales, the right to have your case reviewed. I did so, pointing out the evidential strengths of the case and the pathetic excuses for not pursuing the case which pointed to a failure to properly detail what my witness had seen in her statement, and the case went to court. The offender dealt with. Of course, I had the slight advantage of both me and my brother being ex police at a time when we actually bothered to investigate crime but you should still go for a review process.

Yes. In the end you have to stand for what you believe in. And so will the police officers who are becoming increasingly appalled at the moral abuse of their powers. They would have to lose careers, pensions and bear the scar of being dismissed from their service with all the bias and scandal that would incur.

One massive problem: they just aren't going to have enough space in those prisons, are they? They would have to build at least a gazillion new ones! And the more of us refuse to comply..? The more ridiculous it gets!!! Maybe we should also do terfy tourist excursions to Scotland, for those of us that are NOT Scottish? During which we publicly express ALL the thought crimes, in droves, just to see what happens? To further rub it in, by showing that prosecuting everyone's thought crime just simply isn't possible. :P

How can you give police an accurate description of someone committing a crime? This is important! I saw a video of a 911 call (police emergency) in which the caller was a student hiding in a room while answering police questions about an active shooter. She kept saying "they" even though it was a single male shooter out in the hall. She was afraid to say "he" and the police had to question several times before knowing it was not multiple shooters.

If I was to be prosecuted for claiming that a transwoman's a man [for a' that], i.e. if I were to assert that a person born male with the usual XY chromosomes of a male would always be male do you think I could call as a witness in my defence the Government's Education Minister and my local authority education department? I was educated albeit only to GCE 'O' level in Biology and passed that exam. How would one calculate the value of the institutional harm that I have received and maybe caused? Could I make a claim for being mal/mis-educated? etc etc.

Kellie-Jay, Suggest you check out the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights, Article 19, which reads: " Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions WITHOUT INTERFERENCE and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through ANY MEDIA, and regardless of frontiers." Scotland is a SIGNATORY to this Declaration ( ALL of Great Britain is) and can be taken to the INTERNATIONAL COURT for breaching these rights.
