When I saw the victim was a 6 year old, I don't care if he's got inmates looking at him. What comes around goes around. He won't be left alone.

The proper term is "scapegoat" not "escape goat." An escape goat is one you ride out of prison when the guards are distracted.

His attorney needs to explain to his client that if the plea deal is withdrawn then it goes to trial where he will go to trial on all the charges and face longer sentence and by the sound of it he has already made the prosecution's case.
I’m sure his attorney explained that to him before he pled - which was why he did so.
If it goes to trial much more publicity will be given to this diddler of 6 year olds. I don't think he really wants that to happen.

I've actually seen defendants SUCCESSFULLY withdraw pleas with this kind of argument. They basically argue that conditions in the lock-up were SO EGREGIOUSLY BAD that they plead guilty (or no contest) just to get transferred to a different facility rather than go back to lock-up until trial. They believed that pleading guilty to something they didn't do would be BETTER than spending even one more night in lock-up because of some egregiously cruel treatment they were receiving. That's a legitimate basis for a withdrawal of a plea.
Judge there: Nope.

If I have learned anything from watching these cases, it’s the Judge does not dictate to the jail.
The judge has no jurisdiction over the prison system thank god. As judge Boyd always says I can recommend something while you are in prison but they don’t have to follow her recommendations.

Personally, I find not breaking the law a successful plan in avoiding getting thrown in jail.
See, in practicing that, I also ensure I don’t get attacked by anyone actually in the jail.
It’s a controversial strategy but it has worked out for me 100% of the time.
