    This is one of the greatest bike reviews I've ever seen. I don't think anyone's ever compared bikes within the same "family" like this before. Great job all around.

      I’m sorry but this was a terrible review…. Couldn’t even tell you the wheel size without looking it’s simple enough to remember. Kept mixing the names up on the bikes. And there’s not two power sockets on the X the blank plate in the middle is for the Genuine Honda fog light switch. Considering you work for Honda, your knowledge of these bikes was poor.

    Great video! 👍I currently own a 2022 Cmx500 and I want a Cb500f or the cbr500r. Any thoughts? I'm 5'4. Bought the cmx500 because because before getting comfortable I wanted both feet down as an option but after riding a while. Flat footing not really a concer anymore. Thanks

      @@ShadyGrady3 The only difference betweeen an F and an X is that the X has slightly higher ride height for mild offroading and comes with a small windscreen. Other than that,they are almost identical bikes. Same engine, brakes and suspension.
      So it depends on whether you really need that higher ride height for the type of riding that you do. Other than that, go with the F.

    Thanks for very informative video! What would you consider more beginner friendly, the cbr500r or cb500F? I am concerned about the comfort of the cbr500r im 5'9, but i realized that i'm still young (22) and my back wont probably hurt as much as any other older person. Would the cbr500r be a good daily driver? I've been riding a 125cc-155cc for a few years now. Also, does the cb500f have a wider turning radius than the cbr500r?

      Dude, any CB500 is great for all day riding. The Rebel and the CB500FA will if anything match most cruisers. Any of these 500 models will do highway speeds all day long with power to get you out of sticky situation. Any 500 will out accelerate cars off the line in normal traffic conditions. The best marketing point is the crazy gas mileage you get out of one tank. Stay at 60mph and you will definitely make 70 mpg or more! I have a 2021 CB500FA and under no wind or back wind conditions I have done 70mpg going 70 mph!!! This line is remarkable every day bike.

    What are your thoughts on the CB500X for experienced riders? I'm looking for comfort and a commanding upright riding position. What's your impression on power. I know it's not going to whip my head back, it's about 60-70 HP down on what I ride now but I don't really use the top end that much on my current bike. I'm looking for a bike to cover ground, explore more secondary paved roads but will still see highway time so I need merge power and do commuter duties in addition to fun rides.

    • @boneseyyl1060
      @boneseyyl1060 Před 2 lety +4

      Hi, I have been riding a 2014 CB 500F for about 5 years now. I've been riding since the early 80's, mostly 750 Hondas and Suzukis. I have to say, this bike has been the most fun of all of them. The smaller size plus the torquey powerband of the engine makes it a dream to ride around town. I really don't miss the 750 power and at my age this is all I need for my riding. I outfitted mine with a small Givi windscreen which works beautifully taking the wind off my chest at highway speeds. I also added a back carrier and saddle bag holders for touring. The gas mileage is great. A lot of people complain about the gearing being too low and you are revving around 5500 I think at about 70 mph. It's pretty smooth though even at those revs and can easily be fixed by an inexpensive change of the front or rear sprocket. I have always liked the idea of the 500 X but since I don't do a lot of backroads stuff ( although I wouldn't mind) the F has been just fine so far. I would say for the older experienced rider, the 500 is a great all rounder that won't break your budget.
      Gets a high recommendation from me.

      Had my rebel for a little over a year now. Unless you live near absolutely pristine roads or are ready to replace the forks I wouldn't say its good for passengers. The forks dive more than enough without the additional weight of another person, so every turn is going to be planned out and potholes or crap roads are going to be pretty painful riding
