- I'm back baby!! Back with an electric guitar cover of one of Def Leppard's darker, edgier songs, "Billy's Got a Gun" off of their 1983 album Pyromania. There's so much to love about this track: the riffs, blues licks, Steve Clark's solo that conveys the perfect emotion in this edgy track..I can go on. Enjoy! \m/

Let's get real here, someone has posted "nice job but not just right". Hello? Trying to replicate one of the real lyrical/song writing, melodic, harmonies, hooks, bends and riffing from a man who's influence is still be played by Leppard 30 years +1 to the year since this genius passed is impossible to apply context to. Leppard tour off, have since "The Riffmaster" passed what Steve left them, Leppard's lack of real commercial and chart success since their genius died is evidence enough. The band have released at best a handful of songs that sort of pass muster. Why? Steve was the primary song writer and who was responsible [yes with Mutt later on] for creating the most spine tingling harmonies, melodies, bends, hooks and riffs.. Shit even Vivian has said several times verbatim "90% of what we play Steve left us"...and "I still can't play GoW". That should give some context. I'd argue even Vivian cannot come close to Steve's incalculable playing, the talent he had, and when strapped low with his LP triple pick ups [in the Hysteria era] with his Kahler, no one can remotely replicate the sound nor the real rock star cool Steve had.
"Billy" is such a great reminded of the early Leppard songs where Steve had far more influence prior to 'Mutt' coming in and creating musical wonderment, and pushed the band into a more creative and more commercial direction. The OTTN, HnD days provide some of the most iconic heavier hard rock in history.
The video above is in my personal opinion beautifully done for 2 reasons:
1. that a member og a generation not even 'thought of' in terms of being born still honours the legend and gifts "Steamin" had is delightful
2. this young lady has taken to time to play a song not many others have as far as I can find done.
So thank you so bery much. Steve would have been chuffed. And for me and hundreds of millions this is the such sad part - Steve never knew 'how much' he meant to we fans.
One of my favorites tunes and you nailed it!! Great job!!
Clean.
And Phil on the other end

I'm in love:)
you are amazing!!
You're amazing for watching, thanks so much!
Great job, it seems you hit every note, not that I was looking for it but usually when somebody misses something, it's obvious. Anyhow, thanks for sharing.
I put 110% into every song I do, some bands and songs are easier to cover, some guitarist's styles are difficult to emulate, but with this one I figured my way around Steve Clark's style pretty well, Def Leppard's one of my faves! :) Thanks for watching!
What a great cover of a great song. 😎
Thanks for watching!!
It’s a pleasure keep the leppard covers coming 😃🤘😎
Outrageous!!
I also big fan of Def Leppard.
I think if you play D.L. , so you have to know another British band of that era - Thunder , with a beautiful ballad Love walked in. Maybe you want make the cover?
Nice sound! You can project your voice deeply into the pickup, ala microphone, for the "bang bang" at the end
Awesome playing love the Les paul sounds great what year and model is it may i ask ❤ forgot to add your Beautiful too.
Love your hair... Play on my Lady.
❤️🔥👍
I've subbed👍👍❗
Looks like steve with the hair style
Great job. But the problem with Pyromania is that they slow à little (or speed à litlle), and it alterates slightly the pitch. So it has this "chorus" sound between the original guitar and yours 😏
The "problem" with Pyromania is that it was recorded with analog tape machines that can be just as imperfect as humans can be whether they're playing live or along with a recording. We perceive anything analog to be superior to digital because of these little imperfections, which seem more pleasing to the ear. As a professional audio engineer, I don't see any issues with it at all. I personally like my guitar tone full, crisp and heavy, but I don't mind a little chorus from time to time. ;)
@@BreeTRocks Spot on!!!!
Are you F'ing kidding me right now. OMG who are you and where did you learn to do that? Subbed!
Lmao! Hey there my name is Bree and I learned through tabs, ear and a lot of practice! Thanks for watching and supporting, I really appreciate it! \m/
Hermosas mujer
falling in love with you !!!
#The Riffmaster..
for that first lead break its all bends..........every note is a bend, and its damn hard to do them all right(there no single fretted notes)........that being said, you did a hell of a good job, keep at it
