Lebron James - The Art of Passing

  • A collection of perhaps Lebron's best skill. The imagination, vision, accuracy, speed, left handed or right handed from his passing from anywhere on the court, whatever situation and however you want it Lebron will deliver routinely, sometimes even before you know you was open. I think he easily should be in conversation for being one of the best passers to have ever played this game when talking about passing ability alone and i also think he is the best passer ever out of the non pointguard's.

    As crazy as this sounds, LBJ doesn't get enough credit for his play making ability. Without a doubt the greatness playmaker this generation has ever seen. He makes passes only Magic. LeBron can easily be today's best point guard he chose to.

      Eth D LeBron's never been in trouble off the court. He's shown GREAT longevity. He's going to his 8th Finals in a row this year. Has maybe another five years on him as THE top guy in the league. If he chooses to play this long, I say he has another ten years as a top five guy. I've never seen an athlete get so much out of his body like he does.
      You can give me rings and perfection and yada yada, but it all boils down to two things, longevity and the eyeball test. There has never been a beast like LeBron before. The stuff that LeBron is able to pull off at his bigger frame, it's amazing. Much more versatile than Jordan.
      Give LeBron a team with Pippen, Grant, and Uncle Phil running things, he would've had ten rings.

    Passing is what nobody talks about when debating who's better between LeBron, Kobe, Jordan, and others. People love to talk about the scoring. "Kobe had 81" (which is amazing) or "Jordan had 63 in a playoff game." In my opinion, what separates LeBron from those guys is his passing ability. It's amazing that he averages 7 boards, 27 ppg for his career, yet his best asset is his passing ability. The clip in the beginning when he was talking about his 5 point, 9 assist half is exactly what he's all about. A lot of people tell him to "take games over" and "show your killer instinct." But that's just not his game. He's never going to be a player that will try to do it himself unless he's faced with a 2015 finals scenario again. (Which even then, he averaged 9 assists.) he's all about getting his teammates involved because he knows he can't win a championship by playing hero ball and trying to score all the points himself. That's why I think he's the greatest of all time

  • @LookHereForBlueWords
    @LookHereForBlueWords Před 8 lety +12

    You can hate him as much as you want but he is one of the best players EVER to play in the league. And i'm saying this as a bitter Heat fan. Who else in there career went to a team for only 4 seasons and took them to the Finals in all four of those seasons while winning 2 of them? And to go back to Cleveland, who never made the playoffs since he left, and take them back to the Finals and and come two games away from another championship without their 2nd and 3rd option? It's truly greatness. He might not be the greatest, but who the hell cares? Lebron is ridiculous! Can guard the 4, get the rebound over the 5, run the break like a PG and then slam it home with the best dunkers of all time. One of a kind my friends....

    I know we're all tired of hearing about Lebron, but I just can't get over how complete of a player he is. I am scouting players like Wiggins and Parker, and I've never seen someone with his height and his ability to dish the rock. Truly one-of-a-kind player. IMO he is right up there with Magic Johnson in terms of passing, and the best passing nonpointguard of all time

Top fucking 10? Was that his career assist total? 10? Hardly any of which were more impressive than ANY of the passes shown in this video? Don't be an idiot. Dog, do you even watch LeBron? He makes passes that nobody else in the league, past or present,could make. Again, he's such a dominant scorer that often times he doesn't hit the open man. But when you watch him play it's obvious that he sees everything, is aware of everything and is capable of distributing with the absolute best of them. I mean, just watch his teams. He pretty much passed Mo Williams into an all-star selection, passed Anderson Varejao into double digit scoring, passed Mario Chalmers into a starting role...his facilitating skills are all-time elite.
      Explain to me in specifics why LeBron doesn't belong in that category.

    • @ThaTruth223
      @ThaTruth223 Před 9 lety

      Well for starters
      1)Chalmers was starting for two years prior to Lebron joining the heat so that's invalid
      2)Mo was a replacement due to Jameer Nelson being injured
      3)The fact that you said the he's a better passer than Chris Paul goes to show your bias towards Lebron
      Now you said he has made passes no body in the league past or present has ever done....please stop right there.Because most if not all of his passes have been done before and certainly after.Hes not an innovator of passing with the likes of Magic/Kidd/Stockton/Nash/Maravich/White Chocolate
      All to whom have made the most difficult passes fit in the smallest of space.
      And I say he's not in that category because A)He's not the first to be that big and pass that well ie:Magic/Bird/Hill/Mcgrady,B)Those names you put him near are far better passers than he is or ever will be

  • @lancelotray
    @lancelotray Před 9 lety +12

    I really think that LBJ should start as pass first point guard, not an SF, and place another scoring Small Forward so he'll have more option to pass it to.. His passing is on par with magic, ( do not debate me on this) I think, whatever team he is on, that team will benefit more from his passing,than his scoring. Let's admit it, LBJ is great, perhaps the best but he's not a pure scorer like Michael and Kobe, so he should not be compared with them. He's an all around-player, a lot like Magic Johnson, which a team will benefit from his passing.
    One more thing, MJ is a scorer, so he needed and defensive type players which was Pip and Rod
    LBJ is all around player, he needed scorer which were Wade and Bosh.
    I'm looking forward to this 14-15 Cavaliers team and see how they'll execute their offense. and plays.

    Jordan is better scorer and closer yes but as an all around player lebron is better
    Bigger, stronger, maybe faster and maybe jumps higher better passer defender and rebounder and average 26- 27 for career average

    • @kingjames6203
      @kingjames6203 Před 9 lety

      jordan isnt a better scorer, he played team ball cuz he had a team, bron had no teamates so he had to score all except the times where well this vid happens

    • @22BCMF
      @22BCMF Před 9 lety +3

      I'll give you the closer, Jordan's field goal % on closing shots has still got lebrons by 4%, but as for scoring, that's tough to gage, michael Jordan does average a good 4 or 5 points more than lebron, but that's with a lot more shots per game, it's tough to say though, there's so many factors that go into that, Jordan was more of a pure scorer so people knew what he was gonna do, so he faced a lot of double/ triple teams and was forced to shoot around that, while lebron is a threat as a passer too, so teams struggle to double and can't triple team him, leaving him with less resistance on his shots. it's really hard to compare players who are so different though, idk just food for thought.

      WHOA!.. LeBron is def not a better defender than Jordan. MJ had multiple 200 steal&100 block seasons something LeBron has never done, forget together he hasn't done either one standing alone. Argument can be made that Jordan is stronger too considering there are actual NBA players who have said so. LeBron might be faster in the full court but Jordan is quicker, his first step was crazy. You want to say LBJ is a better passer and rebounder fine but don't sleep Jordan had a season where he averaged 32 8 and 8, something LeBron also never did. And OBVISOUSLY Jordan is a better scorer and more clutch (if any1 disagrees, stop watching basketball), also think he can dominate/takeover a game better than LeBron.

      tbuckets mj cannot pass better than james, stop using stats they r biased, lebron had no team, so its harder for him to get his stats up, also lebron does more things on d that arent reflected in stats, lebron has locked down and kept defenders from driving him and scoring in the paint all his life by two times, mj got scored like that allllll the time, lebron can shut down manyyyyyy post players, even the best pau gasol, blake griffin and many more, lebron can reb better than jordan as he has won most of his reb battles vs the best rebounders in the nba, he just barely goes for the reb, cuz he trying to be the outlet for fastbreaks or set up the offense, also lebron can take over games, important games more than mj, remember the celtics? with no help at all from his stinky team he did that, what about last ring vs spurs? he did everything in that game 6 4th quarter, only allen hit that three with wouldnt have mattered if lebron hadnt exploded or if allen or anyone else were actually hitting a third of their shots, and they were wide open, and lebron was getting them open looks and they kept missing, so that three isnt considered help cuz it was just one shot made out of like 5 open looks his team had, so yeah all of ur points in that last comment have just been proven wrong

    • @geminitiger957
      @geminitiger957 Před 9 lety +1

      I was just marveling at his skill, but I'll entertain this post anyway.
      IMO, it started during the Jordan era. He completely blew the top off all endorsement deals and NBA salaries. It was Jordan that ushered the NBA into today's pop culture, and now he himself is worth a billion dollars. Imagine everything he's tied in with, all the deals he has with the NBA and sponsors, all the relationships he has with influential people of all trades and industries. It was at this point that things changed the most for the league.
      Its in the NBA's best interest to produce as many of these superstar players as possible. IMO, James is worth his weight in platinum but also you can never completely trust what's on TV.
      During the finals this year, Lebron put up 123 points, a league record in the finals. BUT he also missed a lot of shots. You can't script a live ball to make it in the basket, but damn if they didn't give Lebron every chance in hell to make it happen. He averaged 35 points per game, which was a statistical certainty considering he took approximately 200 shots at a .398 shooting percentage. Had he maintained his .488 shooting percentage going into the finals, we very well could've seen the Cavs actually win the series and Lebron's net worth and the NBA's revenue (already at $5bn this past fiscal year) would've skyrocketed. Things get crazier when you learn that he also led both teams in assists and rebounds.
      Its almost as if the other players just let Lebron do his thing, and only do enough to convincingly sell being out-played. The script would be one page, and contain one sentence for the players to follow: "act stupid."
      But that's just a theory. Considering coaches, players, entire teams, and officials can all be bought... it doesn't sound that far fetched to me. There's more than enough money wrapped up in this game to pay everyone off, and there's virtually nothing to lose and everything to gain in procuring the establishment of all stars like Lebron and Durant. Oh yeah, Lebron wouldn't be the only one. There's many players that the NBA has primed and ready for the big pay offs.

    • @RealRapYaKnow
      @RealRapYaKnow Před 9 lety +6

      GeminiTIGER Well my friend I hope you don't actually believe what you just typed because its pretty ridiculous. Not trying to offend you or anything but for real. Also LeBron scored more than 123 points in this years Finals. Sports aren't scripted man, hes just that great.

    • @geminitiger957
      @geminitiger957 Před 9 lety

      You're right, James did score more points in the Finals. Illumanti confirmed. jk, I'm just bad at math and am only a casual fan of the NBA.
      But I'm just saying, at the end of the day anything on television is there for the purpose of making money. Even the news. There are a lot of corrupt sports. There's dirt on every major sports league: Soccer, baseball, football, MMA, Boxing... I don't see how or why Basketball would be any different. Its funny because you'd never think an NFL game could possibly be fixed, yet the next channel over WWE could be having a 30 man battle royal (which of course is fixed). That's television shitting where it eats.

    • @22BCMF
      @22BCMF Před 8 lety +4

      Your theory sounds great and all, and it does make sense, if pro players were like normal people, but they're not. There's a certain mindset you need to make it to the pros, and if you've ever met a pro player and played them in a competitive setting, you'll realize pretty quickly there's something wrong with them and none of them are okay with loosing no matter what. To get to the level of the NBA or the NFL (I only say those cause I've met many pros for those sports, I haven't met pros for other sports), there is a necessity for a seriously unattural overly competitive side. You might be able to rig Reffing, but you could never rig the players.
