I'm gonna take grief from some Nuggets fans but I wish DC was still playing with the Nuggets. He was a great back up for Jokic a couple of years ago because he has the skills to play Jokic style hoops. Can score down low, in the mid range and knock down 3's and a willing passer. When he was out there the Nuggets didn't have to change up the way they play. Also a solid rebounder. What the Nuggets bench is missing this year is a solid veteran big--no disrespect to DJ but DC is just what the Nuggets need.

Deandre Jordan is a much better option as back-up because he may not have the skill and game impact from the bench that Cousins had, but he's a team player and a fun guy to have in your team and locker room and someone who gives respect and gets respect back. When Cousins was there he had some negativity around him, whether it was complaining about his bench minutes or whatever it was he simply did not fit the Nuggets team-first egoless basketball. Also, at that time he didn't show much respect to Jokic because he's one of the idiots saying Jokic didn't deserve his MVPs and he was one of those campaigning hard in every interview saying how terrible it would be to give Jokic 3rd MVP trophy and was basically always saying Jokic was overrated until Nuggets won the championship, then he changed his tune about Jokic. It's good Nuggets got rid of him before he made some mess withing the team chemistry.

Sure wish Boogie woulda worked out in Denver! Shoot, I’d take him right now!! Boogie is the closest player the league has seen to Jokić, he was a bad man!

Physically but not in terms of mentality. The buy-in is critical to the Nuggets success, not talent. Letting go of Boogie, Bones, and Bol are perfect examples, sad to say

@@jesstiss222 Yup, there’s no doubt he was a problem if not even Coach Malone van make work w him. Just a bummer! Bringin Boogie in after Joker is just ruthless!

@@jesstiss222 Agreed! That’s part of the whole “workin out” thing…If it was only about his play Boogie would have been an all star for 10 years! But, it’s not. He never figured out that he couldn’t act the way he did, it’s a bummer! Great player.

Boogie was the original fulcrum for Mike Malone's now refined offense. All the things jokic does, he could do, and that offense was run through him but it was too early and they didn't have the pieces.

I think he is saying that Boogie COULD do the things. That doesn't mean that he can do it with the frequency that Jokic does. Boogie could pass, but he has no where near the court vision Jokic does. Maybe he could have developed into that level though. That's the hugest maybe ever though. I mean same could be said for anyone. But I get it

Legit Jokic is the white version of boogie. Boogie was ahead of his time and kings never built around him. They should bring him back since they are S-O-F-T right now.
