Loved watching and especially hearing these cars at Famoso. Nothing in the world like at small block singing at high RPM’s. What does your car typically rev to? Has to be well above 9000 I’m guessing.
Typically this car will hit 10,500 at finish line With our Jr Fuel A motor. But with this motor in it now running nitro we only run it to about 8800 - 9000 rpm at the finish line.
We had a local old school Jr fuel racer who I had the pleasure of being with at his last Nitro Revival in 2021. RIP Jerry King

what happened there at the end? that was really sketchy, pushed way to far past the line and blew past the cooldown zone.
Oil started coming out from under the injection manifold at about 1000 feet and got on his helmet visor
Sounds like the throttle stuck. I'd need to change ma undies...
