France didn't win Eurovision for a very long time. Probably the most famous French singer of the moment. I think he is here to win... Let's see and rendez-vous in May 2024. He would totally deserve to win, he gives me goosebumps. Love Slimane!!!

The emotion in this is insane🥲
I absolutely adore this too, and I got potential winner vibes from it as I was listening to it, but then this is exactly the kind of male ballad that I just fall for totally. When the lights flashed up as we went into the second verse I got 'Evidement' vibes as well. And the passion in the vocal and darkness/dramaticness in the melody is everything I love. I think this is possibly the jury winner too, and it will be very high up in my rankings for sure. 😍

This song has every potential to do SO well.. emotion, great voice, great progression..
This song is actually the earliest released official ESC song ever. The earliest one before that was Autumn Leaves (2015 North Macedonia) which was released on the 12th of November. Solo was released in late September last year but as that was not an ESC entry at the time it doesn’t”t count if we use that classification.
Now on the main thing here, the song! It is a really beautiful and intense number. His voice is so beautiful and it sounds so perfect and smooth (like melted butter to me), the song is so intense, love the progression, the lyrics are so deep, I love the message of the lyrics and the different meanings they have, the instrumental is beautiful, his live vocals are amazing and I didn’t even realise it was live at first originally and he can really perform a song really well live. People have said that he outshines the song and I definitely get that but this type of song where the performer takes precedence over the song and it works for this number and I don’t think it needs a revamp or anything. It really hits first listen and draws you in for more. This could do super well, the juries will really eat this up and with an epic performance the televote could really love this but it could easily be hit or miss. Really agree with you in the video as the lyrics are deep but I can’t fully understand them myself even if they are very beautiful. Definitely one of my faves from France recently and of all time. A very strong 9.5/10 for me for the first song this year, and of course my winner so far.

Slimane est une très belle âme et un très bon chanteur, il écrit de très belles chansons pour d autres artistes.Pour lui faire l' eurovision représente surtout une fierté de pouvoir représenter la France et d' être soutenue par elle et si jamais il gagne se sera la plus belle récompense pour lui et une fierté de pouvoir remercier son pays et ses fans qui ont toujours cru en lui...on verra si l' Eurovision l' aime aussi ou pas...
Il va gagner, j'y crois. He’s a good singer, but imo the song isn’t strong enough to win. you forget it once you heard it. It’s will get a lot of jury votes, but the tele-vote will stay behind.
Not gonna happen, mid table prolly… great song, great singer, but not for Eurovision… the public wants dancy, fun, escapism with a good catchy hook, not heavy depressing ballads.. but Slimane is a good artist… and to boot the early release will be counter productive, and he’ll progressively be relegated to memory as others hit their hype
The public can appreciate good ballads as well, see Italy and Sweden this year as an example! And also, we have the juries to give songs like this the love they deserve!
