@Ride With Frenchy one suggestion if you are having some time try to travel from Keylong (Himachal Pradesh) to Kishtwar (J&k) through cliffhanger road (world's most dangerous road) then from Kishtwar you can visit Jammu (City of Temples) or you can go to Bhaderwah then Via Padri Pass you can directly go to Chamba (Himachal Pradesh)..This circuit is awesome. Just check it out. ❤️❤️

Here in Turkey, there is a nice kind of fabric which is also called "Kaşmir" (Cashmere). We wear warm clothes especially overcoats making us feel warm during winter. I wondered if there is a connection btw this beautiful place and this kind of fabric and did some research. Yes, there is a connection btw them. There is a kind of goat in Cashmere producing thin and soft wool being used for making this kind of cloth. Pieces of clothes, carpets, especially shawls from cashmere are expensive and very prefrerrable. There are also a lot of names this Sanskrit cashmere word given to stores, malls, etc...
In North America, cashmere is a brand of toilet paper.

Actually most of those soldiers you see in the cities of kashmir aren't army. They central police force. The real army deployment is actually very less.

Hey Pierre! it was fun but I guess rains have ruined a lot of your plans, as the content quality came down since we were in Himachal Pradesh. I hope to see more coming from you, now you're heading back. Btw as now you've seen multiple capital cities of different topography and geographical locations of India, and same impression of being a bit hectic, such places. I will recommend you to see what we find impressive when we were there is Simla and Dharamshala. Simla especially because we were amused to see it first time, created by British obviously lol, but its quite clean, no touts and typical European structures.
