Luton is a large town, borough and Unitary Authority situated in south east England, but in the East of England region for administrative purposes. It has a population of 213,052 (mid-2019 est.)and is one of the most populous towns without city status in the United Kingdom. The town is situated on the River Lea, about 29 miles (50 km) northwest of London. The town's foundation dates to the sixth century as a Saxon outpost on the River Lea, from which Luton derives its name. Luton is recorded in the Domesday Book as Loitone and Lintone and one of the largest churches in Bedfordshire, St Mary's Church, was built in the 12th century. There are local museums which explore Luton's history in Wardown Park and Stockwood Park.

I used to live in Luton, was a great place and have loads of memories. Moved to a different part of the UK in 2020, after seeing videos on what Luton is like now, at the moment i wouldnt want to move back. I hope it changes soon

I was born in Luton in 1966. Lived on Sundon Park Road, just up the road from the Skefko (now it's SKF), until 1973. Then moved to Canada. Will be back for a visit when the world cools down a bit. Crazy, volatile times we live in.

Luton Borough Council have spent over £1 million on the education of a foreign child at one of the most expensive private schools in England. This money could have been spent on meeting the needs of those actually living in Luton. Times are very difficult for everyone and money needs to be spent on providing the very basics for so many and not on the luxury of private education.

Luton is not a City as per title. Although the residents want it to be it will never happen as it got voted one of the worst places to live in recently in a poll & i agree it looks a s !£hole. I lived & worked there but I also got out of there & it hasn't improved plus the arndale centre us dying. Bedford is the centre of Bedfordshire so should be voted in as it's a stunning place with its River, road access to north south east & west enticing business & classier than luton by miles. This video does not do it any favours, it shows rows & rows of grubby streets full of traffic n parked cars. It looks unsafe to go out at night. I suggest if you want to sell luton get out of your car & put in nice photos of different areas & subjects & not show just roads in built up areas.
I born and lived there till 2009 stabbing drive by shootings the train got exploxed on the track I believe to be in 2005 that's got re done now into a bus lane I think still horse shit of a only great estates they have are lu1 and lu2 maybes
