Beautiful Luckenbooth heart! I have found only two during my years of relic hunting here in the sandhills of North Carolina. This area was a big area for Scottish settlers.

The broach is very similar to my engagement/wedding ring. My husband is Irish and very much wanted me to have a traditional Claddagh ring. The heart represents love, the crown-loyalty and hands-friendship. Worn on the right hand with the point of the heart pointed away from you means you are open to love/relationship, same hand pointed in means your heart is closed, you are in a relationship, left hand pointed out you are engaged, left hand pointed in-you are married. Very beautiful sentiment in these tokens.

Just some food for thought regarding shotgun shells. I’ve been a hunter for over sixty years, and a metal detectorist for only almost three years. Like you, I enjoy detecting in the woods, and when I find a shotgun headstamp, I immediately begins a spiral search from the drop site. Why? Many old shotguns only held one or two shells, so once the shell was spent, it was necessary to reload, often from a jacket pocket or pouch, where other items may have been located, and may have fallen out while removing the fresh round. I have found knives, lighters and many coins in close proximity to headstamps, so I would encourage you to rethink walking away from an area because you’re finding shotgun headstamps. It takes a minute or so to spiral out to 10’ or so, just in case something else was dropped nearby. JMHO

    Brad,
I watched with a lump in my throat imagining the people and there lives in an area
that is now just trees and forest..
They represent the pioneers that created this great country which I fear
    is so threatened now.
The motto of Vermont is Freedom and Unity and New Hampshire is Live free or Die. Both from pioneer states.
I hope we keep our freedom and unity and live free without dying, for the sake of our children and grand children.
Your discoveries set a positive example of what our past was all about, the spirit and the independence.
    Thank you,
    Frederick "Rik" Spector

This just goes to show you that no matter how many times an area has been detected, you still have a good chance at finding new stuff. People often pick and choose what they did based on their signals, like Bread talked about... Plus technology is getting better every day. If you have unlimited access to an area, it's almost stupid to not check every signal (no offense to anyone). And move rocks, logs, etc. Remember that a lot of those things weren't sitting there a century ago. It pays to be diligent and thorough. Nice hunt, Brad! Beautiful finds, and congratulations on the broach!

Wonderful things! (to quote a certain famous archaeologist.) That brooch was an amazing find; it sent me off to read about them, and I remember seeing that sort of crown-and heart(s) design among medieval pewter pilgrim badges-- it wouldn't surprise me if it went back even further than the 1600s. So many beautiful little things today; that flowered button was just gorgeous, and I'll bet whoever lost it regretted the loss something fierce. Thanks for the video, and I hope you didn't get too soaked heading home!

I have been digging & sifting this spot since 2016. Last Wed. I found a Kakakaua era Royal Hawaiian brass button, erect shank & all. A porcelain marble and a WRACO .44 cartridge casing centerfire rimmed. A pistol or carbine? The button back "Josh Starkey 32 Conduit St. London. I finally found one, and it's good, a Kingdom era button. The Hawaiian Monarchy had a thing for Victorian Britain, and trying for their own empire "Primacy in the Pacific" that directly led to their overthrow in Jan. 1893, and U.S. annexation in 1898. The U.S. Territorial government was set up in 1900.

While internet sources do not quite agree on the date, Sheffield plate fused sheets of silver to the top and bottom of copper or base metal. This process was discovered about 1742 by Thomas Boulsover of Sheffield. Modern electroplate was invented by an Italian, Luigi V. Brugnatelli, in 1805.
So it has been around awhile in some form or another.

Please do an update on the identification of the coin and any more history on the rest of your treasures?
Would you consider acquiring a hard hat and at least a kevlar vest for windy days in those forests? That way if a widow-maker comes down, your head is protected and the sharp edges of one can't penetrate your chest or back? Please think about this, for your loved ones, yourself and the zillions of us viewers that couldn't imagine metal detecting without you in it.
