I remember as a Scot fan at the time being heart broken but now I look back and think that the fact it ended up 38-38 in the end made the game that much more historic.
A powerful first half from England. An excellent comeback from Scotland and the heart of England to draw the game up. What an excellent game of rugby. This will go down in history.

Then the game just switched and England was terrible, Scotland amazing so then it was to late. Should’ve been even more ruthless from the start.

I’m English (although not a raving patriot) and this is the only rugby game I’ve watched thus far in which I started to root for the other team. It was like Rocky IV when the Russian crowd starts cheering for Rocky.

Ironic how the score was 38-38 after Scotlands long drought of 38 years, this match definitely held weight as each side went into this match, so I say it was pure poetry for it to end in a draw.

Scotland at their best is pretty awesome as you Australians found out in the last World Cup. Remember when the referee gave you a penalty that should never have been? Scotland should've been in that Semi final.

So many people gave up on Scotland after 20 minutes and turned off their TV's, but I didn't, I stayed and watched it and I'm so glad I did. I would say that, that was one of the most exciting games of 6 Nations, what an absolutely incredible comeback by Scotland, it also gives them more hope for the World Cup. Great effort from Scotland. Honestly as an Englishman I don’t really care about the result but what a game. Could not have asked for anything more from our guys. Yeh they chucked the game away but Scotland were awesome in the second half. Huge respect.
As they say it's an 80 minutes game the ref gave England 3 minutes to get some respect

Had this on behind the bar at work, in the first half there was no one watching on the big screen we have, by about the 50th minute there was at least 5 or 6 families all watching the game. When Scotland scored the try to take them into the lead there was a giant grown as we are a pub in the middle of no where in Derbyshire so no many Scots around haha! But once England scored the try in the 83rd, people jumped and cheered as if we've won the game! Rugby is amazing. What a good Scottish team they're and good luck in the World Cup! :)

Best game of rugby I’ve seen in years
Wales had a brilliant defence and England need to defend their lead. The Scottish come back was brilliant, sparked by a great interception try by McInally before half time. The Scottish backs realised that if their Hooker can score a try from half way so can they. The Scottish backs were brilliant playing fast attaching rugby that carved England apart. Well done Scotland. We lost the cup, we lost the cup. Watch out for Super Scotland in the World Cup. Haha. New Zealand V Scotland in the World Cup final surely. Haha.
Scotland were robbed in the last world cup by Australia in the last seconds of the game.

Someone else who looked tired was Sir Owen Farrell. Laboured passes leading to 2 interceptions and couldn't catch a hooker!!! (I understand he doesn't usually have that problem). In fact I think McInally was moving away from him. Genuine question for those in the know: Was that the record for the greatest 'capitulation' in 5/6 nations history? Biggest surrender since another Englishman 'Arthur Percival' ('Essex Battalion Torture Squad' in Ireland) bottled it in Singapore 1942 when he handed over 85,000 troops to a much smaller force of Japanese..... ;-)

A classic game from two classy sides-bitter sweet as it seemed England were on a role before half time, soon it looked as if we'd lose to Scotland at Twicks for the first time in 36 years. In the end though what an outstanding match it was to watch!

Rewatching this a few months on, incredible resilience from Scotland but I never realised how much Elliott Daly's defence leaves a lot to be desired. It's shown again in these World Cup warm up games how he goes way too high and is completely ineffective at times.
