I want to tell every English speakers how amazing this lyric is and the magic of Japanese words that can't simply explain via translation.
As you can see, this song can be summarized as "don't want to live, still no choice but living on" so we can tell it's pretty sad or straggling song.
But you can understand more deeply describing into your emotions directly by deciphering the OG Japanese lyrics.
From 3:10 the part "my instinct thumps in red, says; I want to stay alive" its original is "ikite itai yo, honnou ha akaku myaku utsu no."
The Japanese one's last word "no" literally means nothing and considered as an emphasis just like peko or nanora things.
But "no" describes tons; feminine/desperateness/fragileness/urgency... and is used as spoken language.
There are some spoken language in this lyrics dispersed but when it comes to the last chorus it obviously intends to appeal how painful and desperate he/she is, holding the completely different desires. Plus, the art bursting into tears of Okayu though.
I'm sorry for my rough explanation, I just wanted to share this everyone because this awesome song made me cry.

Even though I don't understand it well, Okayu singing "ikketai yo", plus her bursting out crying in the end still pulls my heartstrings every time. I wanna hug her and tell her everything's okay. Plus, unlike a lot of this covers I've seen, Okayu sang this one really soulfully.
