- We provide an explanation to help answer some of the angry comments from our previous video where we address all the reasons why our cruise cabin was the worst cruise stateroom after our recent onboard experiences from neighboring cruise passengers that made it miserable. One note, We did ask about upgrade options and were told the ship was sold out and no rooms are available to change to. We also explain our reaction to the situation as we know it may have been different than what others would do in the same situation. Are these cruise passengers dangerous cruise passengers? Should you book a Guaranteed Inside Cruise Cabin or take the advice of cruisers and Never book a guaranteed Cruise stateroom? This is the latest cruise news in tandem across the cruise industry where all cruise lines are making cruise cutbacks for cruise passengers onboard cruise ships during 2024 and we were surprised by what were real cruise cutbacks and which was just bad cruise ship design! What do cruise ships do with passengers upset at other cruise passengers at sea? How do Cruise Ship Crew handle these difficult cruise passengers? Are cruise ship passengers okay with cruise lines with bad inside cruise staterooms in 2024? The best way to deescalate a situation is not to escalate it. Lay low and let it pass buy. You did the right thing. Situational awareness is key. My wife and I hope to meet you two someday, love everything you do.

They must be necessary or at least they think this video must be published otherwise they would have said nothing exactly as they did on the ship. Cannot believe anybody would not report what was supposed to have happened on the ship to officers on board or to the cruise line head office. No wonder similar things happen when people like this do not report wrong doings.

It sounds like those people who complained recognized themselves because you never identified the channel that was played or any names associated with the conversation. Keep doing what you do. It is helpful if anyone else finds themselves in a similar scenario.

I totally get you on this, and it can be a coin toss regardless of location, Like MB, by land sea or air. I have felt unease at places like the Concorde Room as well as Jamiaca. I had to do the Barney Rubble escape only once and that was enough, I was dumb. Safe travels

Your response to the unkind neighbors was absolutely justified. The degree of anger they manifested would have " triggered" my husband and myself. They were out of line. Keep up the reporting as you see it.

It's a shame in this day & age that something like you went through still happens. These people were complete monsters. Please know that most of us on that side of the aisle, are NOTHING like that. You guys did the SAFE thing. People are very unpredictable, who knows how they may have reacted had you reported them, or said something to them, even if you were as nice as possible. I always take the path of least resistance, since I hate confrontation. Glad you guys are OK, & don’t let anyone tell you how you should have acted, they weren’t there, & everyone handles stuff differently. ❤

I was horrified to hear the video on Sunday about your nasty cruise neighbors and so sorry you went through that. I did wonder why you didn't report the noisy neighbors but quickly decided the decision was none of my business. I just listened to this video and the personal information you shared clarified the neighbor situation and your decisions. It's no wonder you guys decided to lay low! PTSD is not a trauma that you can just "get over" and our brains remember. You were in full protection mode and that is totally understandable; and, I think the right thing. It really doesn't take much effort to be kind to other people...and considerate. Shouldn't matter what our differences are. Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing this clarification with us; I'm kind of sorry the comments you received made you decide to do this video. Happy cruising!!

You’re totally right about PTSD; I had a lot of PTSD after my late husband died. Different things would trigger it.
Love your videos about cruising. You are a pleasure to watch. I understand your hesitancy to confront or report the creeps on your ship while you were on board. However, would love something to have been reported to RCCL after the cruise so that those “people” don’t continue their bad and scary behavior.

There's far too much hate in the world as it is, but to experience that sort of behaviour from people while you're taking time off/away from the every day is absolutely unacceptable. No matter what opinion people have about how you live your lives, they need to walk away or just not watch your videos, rather than cause further unnecessary upset and spread their hate. I think you guys are incredibly brave and given your past experience, you absolutely did the right thing in laying low, as these bullies want you to react so they can cause more trouble and hate (sadly speaking from experience of being bullied in school for being the nerd). Hi guys! I saw the video the other day and it bothered me so much that I had to share with others what I heard. I would have been absolutely stunned by your neighbor's behavior and scared to death with what they have said. Unfortunately there is a segment of our population that have become so emboldened that they are willing to go to extremes to share(and force) their beliefs on others. I am a 73 yo white, straight women, married for 53yrs, but I have two biracial grandchildren that have experienced bigotry, unfortunately. I spent my youth fighting for civil and equal rights and it's so disheartening that things are still the way they are. Keep being you and don't let those that are so closed minded ruin your joy of travel and life We all need to remember that love is love🏳️🌈. Side note: I had a dear friend come out to me years ago. She asked if it bothered me that she was gay. I answered her by asking if it bothered her that I was straight. Our friendship continued until she unfortunately passed away.

As a same-sex married couple ourselves, it is very top of mind for us that we are not always going to get the same reception as other people, and the least people from the outside looking in, that they believe us when we discuss these experiences. I’ve traveled more than many (retired FA of color) and the worst encounters I’ve had with people were in my own country. In all of the places I’ve been to all over the world I have been treated so kindly and respectfully. I saw that video, and Jared handled it perfectly. He was completely cautious and sensitive with the content and his wording. He was not political in what was shared and in carefully reducing it as much as possible to generalized terms. Some of your experience could not be sanitized further than was done. You were very sensible in being selective about reporting this particular set of cruise ship neighbors, even if you hadn’t had that previous encounter with such hate.
I had no issue with your video and am sorry you had to deal with nasty cabin neighbors. They sounded like very messed up people. I am also sorry to hear you had to do with the threatening event in your past. I can imagine how scared you both were. Hugs to you both.

Hi guys, I was followed to my car by a couple of gay bashers and that was 1997. I was lucky to get out alive. When I reported it to the police, they refused to take a police report. Instead, they asked me why I was even there. I know the PTSD that happens from an experience like this. Love your videos and keep giving us your wonderful content!

I am one who left what you probably considered a negative comment on that video. I am aware that you are a same-sex couple and congratulate you for your commitment to each other.I have enjoyed your videos from your earliest ones posted on CZcams. Yet, the one that you refer to took me by surprise I guess. As horrible as the experience was for you, I felt, and still feel, that it was not a plus for your lineup of videos. As you said, it is my choice to tune in or out of your channel. I just want to assure you that my comment in NO way related to your sexual orientation-it never crossed my mind. I have been a long-time supporter of same/sex marriage, parenting, and committed relationships. I am a 75 year-old female, retired RN, and have had many life experiences. What people don't realize is you don't lump all groups the same. There are plenty of conservatives who aren't extreme or triggering. They love you and follow you. I have family who are conservatives. They treat me fine.
