Il M° Abbado ci manca infinitamente, ci manca la sua eleganza, la sua profondità; sempre a memoria, mai lo spartito davanti. Qui mi è piaciuto particolarmente il tenore Luchetti con la sua chiarezza e potenza, gran bella voce.

Wow, they really had such a marvelous musical time in Tokyo during 80's. Perhaps more than anywhere else in the world, really. It's good to see the sound is pretty decent, despite the tape noise ! Many thanks for sharing this.

Gran bel video, tutti grandissimi, bello vedere Abbado profondamente scosso dall'emozione. Manca solo una cosa, la visione perfetta del grande evento. Ma in questo mondo non si puo' avere la perfezione assoluta, pero' un grande Grazie per averlo postato, chissa' quante volte lo vedro' al termine di giornate non facili.

Ah.....Nicolai Ghiaurov......il re di bassi. I was privileged to go to his recital (quite late on) at London's Wigmore Hall: I'm not kidding you - practically every bass in London was there in the audience!
I joined the queue afterwards to meet the great man. Ahead of me and behind were two other famous basses, one now sadly deceased and one still living, so I won't embarrass him by mentioning his name. I got to shake Maestro Ghiaurov's hand - I don't think I washed my hands for days! Such a wonderful man and performer.
Indeed, and the great basso's performance of a part he often sang is particularly outstanding here in every way.

Excellente interprétation bien sûr avec Abbado et de tels solistes, mais les sous-titres en japonais sont vraiment de trop, et c'est impardonnable !
