- Superman & Lois 1x01 "Pilot" Season 1 Episode 1 Sneak Peek #2 - In SUPERMAN & LOIS, after years of facing megalomaniacal supervillains, monsters wreaking havoc on Metropolis, and alien invaders intent on wiping out the human race, the world’s most famous superhero, The Man of Steel aka Clark Kent (Tyler Hoechlin, “Teen Wolf”) and comic books’ most famous journalist, Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch, “Grimm”), come face to face with one of their greatest challenges ever - dealing with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society. Complicating the already daunting job of raising two boys, Clark and Lois must also concern themselves with whether or not their sons Jonathan (Jordan Elsass, “Little Fires Everywhere”) and Jordan (Alexander Garfin, “The Peanuts Movie”) could inherit their father’s Kryptonian superpowers as they grow older. Returning to Smallville to handle some Kent family business, Clark and Lois are reacquainted with Lana Lang (Emmanuelle Chriqui, “Entourage”), a local loan officer who also happens to be Clark’s first love, and her Fire Chief husband Kyle Cushing (Erik Valdez, “Graceland”). The adults aren’t the only ones rediscovering old friendships in Smallville as the Kent sons are reacquainted with Lana and Kyle’s rebellious daughter, Sarah (Inde Navarrette, “Wander Darkly”). Of course, there’s never a dull moment in the life of a superhero, especially with Lois’ father, General Samuel Lane (Dylan Walsh, “Nip/Tuck”) looking for Superman to vanquish a villain or save the day at a moment’s notice. Meanwhile, Superman and Lois’ return to idyllic Smallville is set to be upended when a mysterious stranger (Wolé Parks, “All American”) enters their lives. This show....shot like a movie, they act like in the movies, has HBO budget for VFX and set design and it's cleverly written and researched. I'm so proud of Superman & Lois.
cw doing increased the budget for the first episodes. quality will most likely go down later on

@@JohnDoe97637 Actually no. Check out the reviews from Variety and HollywoodReporter... which are actually the most credible professional outlets (unlike the nerd blogger websites) and they consider Eps 1 and 2 rather underwhelming. Very much in line with CW melodramas.

I heard we're going to see John Diggle at some point on this show due to him and his family moving to Metropolis.
Diggle will make an appearance in one episode of each main show this season to have an arc.

As someone who grew up on Smallville, I really like the tone and acting in this show. Not corny like SG, BW, and the Flash (although I like the flash). You can tell they want to get this show right and make it unique from all the other CW shows... From the movie aspect ratio to the lighting I’m really liking what I’m seeing so far... 👏🏾👍🏾👍🏾

I find it hilarious that when Superman & Lois was announced, I literally rolled my eyes and thought to myself “why would I want to watch another goofy ass show with that Superman and Lois from supergirl with the cliche acting and a silly plot lines”
The trailers and these sneak peeks have me excited as hell haha, this show looks fucking amazing, I’m a huge fan of the Arrow, Flash, (about it in terms of CW) and Stargirl, this is looking to be so good, I can’t wait

According to websites she makes about $500k year as a world class reporter and is worth close to $3 million. The guy is a small-town fire chief and is happy that someone is investing and hopefully bringing jobs to his childhood town. It is easy to be idyllic and sit on a high horse when you need not worry about money.

@@whocaresguy Yes, it had good humor, but we all had to sit through the melodrama that was Clana for seven seasons. It was okay for the first season (and if we really want to scrape under the barrel, understandably till the fourth and midway towards the fifth), but be glad that once they got rid of that toxic 'ship and changed the producers (but sadly Michael Rosenbaum left), we got other villains and better character growth for Clark and his supporting cast.

Watched the premiere. Pretty good actually. In between the usual CW crappy over the top drama scenes there is a very strong Superman story that can be unleashed.
Interesting that they don't know about Clark being Superman here since he's already been established for quite some time now.?
I'm guessing they kept it like this for drama reasons, but it would've started the show off in a different footing if all the adults knew about Clark.
This is based off the early Rebirth comic where his identity was still secret.
It's also a conversation that isn't completely revolved around Superman, like he isn't the only thing in the entire world. I'm saying this because every other show they have make the main character the center of the universe.
Everything I'm seeing of this show so far has me really impressed. I think the show has a lot of potential to be really great.
I don't know the next scene to this video...but I think its quite appreciable for people who disagree completely on a matter so sit-down and have a civil discuss without trying to sound politically correct.

Thats weird. I loved it. Felt like real life stuff that actually happens. Hell its because of him saying all that why Im now even interested in watching it.
I thought it gave a somewhat sympathetic look to him. He’s an ass but what he says has a nugget of truth. He seems very naive in thinking some investor gives a damn about Smallville, but on the other hand he might be right that the community does need some kind of investing.
I feel like the Arrowverse are now reaching to movie level thanks to Superman and Green Arrow (the Spectre).

this is the Superman movie that we deserve!! I really don't like all that Man of Steel nonsense. Just meaningless fighting and destruction on a large scale. Superman is more than that. And people want his story, people want to get to know him, to see him as a human.

Smallville Coal Mines , i hope we get to see Superman turn Coal into Diamond ( like in Superman 3) , that would explain Clark 's family never have to worry about money , the previous trailer said something about they are unemployed , but Superman and his family doesn't have to worry about money .
This scene is brutal, cause Lois' Is the Country....Her dad a General she clearly knows the reality which is how she would live in Metropolis.
