In all honesty, the ref that tripped and fell causing the safety did his best to curl up into a ball and get his legs out of the way. Seems like the best thing to do as a ref if you fall down on the field; Make yourself as small as possible. Trying to get back up may just cause you to be even more in the way. At least for the Ravens that play was at the very start of the game and not a game deciding moment. So we can all laugh at how silly it is.
Imagine being Lamar, having Bosa and Young both hunting you down from behind, and then to top it all off the f*cking refs trip you up for a safety. If that game had gone differently with all the tipped incompletions that led to interceptions, man oh man would that have been a shitstorm.
