Really don't understand how Starsailor didn't make it huge. Fantastic music, great meaningful lyrics, good looking lead singer. What more can you ask for?
Because of Coldplay.
That makes no sense because Starsailor are much better than Coldplay are. (My opinion) If more people have heard Coldplay it's because there are more dumb, soulless people on the planet than intellectual, soulful ones. An easily proven FACT when looking around...at all the dumb fucks. Rant over.
the second album was a bit of a disappointment and they never recovered from that.

I can't understand how someone can't experience a feeling of transcendence when listening to Viva la Vida or Charlie Brown. That doesn't make those people fucking idiots. There is no objectivity to musical taste (or any tastes, really - that's why they're tastes). The value of a musical piece is not known to be anything more than an aesthetic response to sequences of sounds with certain properties. It's chocolate or vanilla shit. I happen to like this music. If someone doesn't, that tells me precisely nothing about their intelligence.

OMG i had 4gotten just how fab these were. Just popped back in my radar and have been playing their albums....should have gotten more recognition. The piano, guitar and drums work so perfectly with James' vocals which are as perfect as they were back in the day. Gonna b on my playlist now!!!!! Thank for sticking it out boys...you still have good things 2 come!!!

Amazing band. I forgot how good they are but was reminded of them through money heist of all things. They should have been bigger but Coldplay took all the attention, even though Starsailer had a more unique sound in many ways!
After a brief encounter with a quiet American girl on a mad night in London who I never saw or heard from again. The lyrics just remind me of a amazing night .

I saw them at Glastonbury in 2003 or 2004, when they played this the atmosphere was amazing
Hard to get that 3/4 vibe just right but these guys just nailed it.
This band was one ofd the greatest, sadly no one pay the the attention they needed because of the Oasis's, Coldplay's, Blur's, etc but I cannot reccomend enought this whole album is at the same height as Coldplay's Parachutes
2021 just know this amazing band!!!!
