Yep
LOL I had 2 read the book 4 school. It was pretty good tho... :)
yepIm reading it in english
I read it on my own time, actually. Amazing book!
That's me right now 😂
Atticus is one of the greatest cinema hero
+Hashirama Senju I know he's so calm and collective I would have flipped my shit if ewell spit on me
*book
The “white saviour” is typical yank narcissism.
Self absorbed, arrogant, “me me me”. This narcissistic novel demoralises non white readers and is being removed from schools (just like those statues to slave owning tyrants like jefferson)
@@Ali74 what?
Which is why I'm not going to read Go Set a Watchman...
Every time I hear the line, "Stand up, Miss Scout; your father's passin'"... I get a tear in my eye. Just the devotion, love and respect that one man receives... that does not happen anymore.
How old are you? omg no
@korosec have you even seen the movie? Do you not understand the significance of this part of the film?
korosec You couldn’t last 1 minute 🤣🤣
i just finished reading the book... and dang i did NOT catch the full meaning of that line till i read ur comment!!
One of the best film adaptations ever made.
Gregory Peck's voice is like those shiny smoothed stones rattling together in a velvet purse.
mhm
hi Sarah
Everyone: reading this book in school
Me (a 16 year old German): reading this in my free time
That is what I am as well. I read all the classics in my own time
@@oneafter9097 Yes me too and than sometimes we read a book in school that I already read on my own and my teachers ask me oh why are you reading such things in your free time? 😂
Me too, expect I’m not a 16 year old German
Machst du gut so, gerade merkst du es gar nicht, aber diese Weiterbildung wird dir in paar Jahren noch sehr viel nützen. Hör bloß nicht auf damit. 😉
i m 16 reading this in quranatine except i m not german.
No book gave me these feelings. What a masterpiece.
It's weird how a nearly 60 year old movie can still be as relevant now as it was when it was first released.
And, it was just ''banned''in Florida by Herr DeSantis...
Damn fool
RIP Harper Lee. ✨
*^SCAM^*
@@ifeanyimbah1132 or you can find it on Netflix
@@raesmith2164 really its not there
Here because reading it in English XD but god it's so emotional
shattered beautyx nerd
Not gunna lie, im gay for his voice
the hell
Film follows book pretty precisely.
reading this novel at the moment
There is a story Gergory Peck told about shooting a scene . Harper was on the set when this scene was shot. Peck was giving a speech in court that was very powerful and moving. When it was over Lee came up to him with tears in her eyes. Peck thought he had done a very good job when Lee reacted like she did. She said to him, "You looked just like my daddy wth his pot belly!"
can we just acknowledge how good the actor for Scout is?
Gregory Peck was the ultimate actor
he was a bore. I wish Mitchum had killed him in Cape Fear haha

My most sincere and heartfelt thanks, (as posthumous as it may be), to the author of this novel for showing me just how powerful and impacting literature can be. An extra special most sincere and heartfelt thanks to my English Literature teacher for helping me to appreciate Literature on the whole, in any form or fashion, and also for showing me just how much influence words can have on our emotions/feelings. I would love to see a modern day take on this movie that sticks to the original plot, (as offensive as it might be to the "less faint of heart").
Superb film that makes you angry at the injustices suffered by generations.
And makes you happy that there are people who will always fight against injustice, and that children can show the way
I read this book, in high school. Books always tell more than the movie. I just saw this on netflix. I might watch it.
Can you. Help me sir to make a book review about to kill a mocking bird 😊
I just watched it. It's a beautifully done film. Not quite accurate to the book but still beautiful and tear-jerking
Colony08 I just started reading this book I’m in middle school I thought I was safe from it for a little now I’m being attacked by it
I haven't read this in class, i read it out of my own and it is amazing
I'm also reading it right now, not in school, just because I want to
Yeah

Ever since I read and watched this movie back in English class, I have to say this is still one of my favorite movies of all times
100%
I came here because our next pres n the philippines loves this book..its easier to watch while doing some work. R next president is a lawyer and economist but most of all a tireless dedicated public servant. Depressingly sad even shocking that her opponent is d son of the famous late dictator who globally known to be the greatest robber of govt coffer of all times nd recorded in guiness world record. If i can ask u to please pray for the victory of leni robredo and her running mate kiko pangilinan pls do so.the universe nd God wl give u blessinngs nd graces.thanks
I too am a lawyer a writer I too am in an interracial relationship (though i am white man) and I am too passionate about justice no wonder why it's one of my favorite books and movies
I read this book for a highschool project:) The movie really helped me understand and analyze it better. TKAM is truly one of my favorite novels, and will forever remain a classic
just wonder, for 400 years white people keep the afircan in chain but never call it holocust, of africa, ?
This trailer isn't great, but honestly, the film is phenomenal, as is the novel.
One of the best and still painfully relevant book ever.
Beautiful Classic!
The Movie, however mostly Mr. Gregory Peck. Had the wonderful pleasure of meeting him behind stage in LA in the 70's. So real, humble and down to earth. With a presence few have.
RIP.
Scouts character and the way the actress plays it is so incredibly wholesome
when i listened to the audiobook, Mr. Peck's face appeared in front of my eyes. He is such a wonderful actor and a moral example, that i believe, if he is a lawyer, he would do the same thing as Alex did.
The favorite book of the 17th Philippine President
The book was quite esquisite and AWESOME
I love "12 Angry Men." Powerful and moving.
"To Kill A Mockingbird" was to Gregory Peck as "Patton" was to George C. Scott -- his MASTERPIECE.
Please Patton, was a war manger with his war policy
Perfect movie. Great story, great acting, great photography
I recommend you to watch "12 Angry Men" (1957) as well.
Yes thank you for recommending this....I totally loved 12 angry men movie...Really superb

This book opened my eyes in so many ways
Such an amazing book!!😩👏💗 damn Harper Lee awesome author so much irony and the metaphors and just everything!!!💗💗 love it so much the movie was great too but it excluded a lot of great parts.
The book is a masterpiece. I'm the only kid in school carrying it around for my own enjoyment instead of for an assignment. The movie was alright, though it did cut a couple of my favorite scenes. I love the kids they got to play Scout and Jem.
I love the awkward silence of these old trailers
Great. I haven't seen this movie. I admire Gregory Peck.
love the book. one of my favorites
Gregory Peck...one of the best legendary actors ever.
I am reading this for my English class but with COVID I was using the pdf but I loved the book so much so far that I bought it on amazon

if we could hear god it would sound like gregory peck
I think this film needs to be re-made for modern times ESPECIALLY with recent events 🙏🖤🖤🖤🙏
Just finished reading this amazing book.
I love atticus.
A lot who are fans of Marvel and DC superhero’s. But this is one inspiring hero who defended a Black man on trial in the history cinema
Atticus finch is still the greatest character and a role model. And scout is only a kid beginning her life
Reading the book in 2019
friend's recommendation
Good for you. You're an ace...
Never let go of that friend..
Just finished reading it....wonderful...
Not gonna lie, i was forced to read this book in English, and I actually really liked it, and am glad I read it
I’m about to read the book and I’ve heard so many good things about it and I can’t wait to start reading it
I am going to a lawyer in few years and this book is an inspiration for me
A lecturer showed the movie to our class when we were preparing for our South Australian Matriculation exams in early 1990s*. I loved it so much that I went to read the book which became a favourite. For many years I revisited the book at least once a year and found something new in each reading. It is a book that makes me laugh, cry, think, and reflect. I have not read it for quite a number of years. May be it is time to read it again and share the book with my daughters. I was around their age when I was first introduced to the wonders of the movie and the book.
Btw, where can I buy/watch a good copy of the movie?
*Note: I m a Malaysian. My classmates and I were preparing for studies in Australia.
Gregory Peck an amazing actor
I’m here now because Humphrey’s college extra credit** !! Grew up on this TALK ABOUT EASY
mighty insightful book :)
I loved that book/movie
To Kill a Mockingbird returns to theaters on Nov. 13 and 16 as part of TCM's Big Screen Classics Series.
Brilliant man!
Predivan film, odlična ekranizacija knjige!
I’ll admit that I’m a big fan of Marvel superhero movies, but this is one of the greatest films of all time IMO.
I’ve never heard of or read this book ever I just wanna know why it’s so emotional and what happens lol
I saw this movie with a group of people and during all of the courtroom testimony and scenes there was total silence and nobody moved. The only sounds were sniffling when Atticus left the courtroom.
This is my Favourite book
Looks amazing
Best classic
This is a amazing book
Awesome film!
Atticus is my role model.
Looking good, probably gonna have it tonight
Killing a Mockingbird is a novel by Harper Lee published in 1960. He was immediately successful, won the Pulitzer Prize and has become a classic of modern American literature. The plot and the characters are based loosely on Lee's observations about his family, his neighbors and an event that occurred near his hometown of Monroeville, Alabama, in 1936, when she was 10 years old. The story is told by six-year-old Jean Louise Finch.
The novel is famous for its warmth and humor, despite dealing with the serious problems of rape and racial inequality. The narrator's father, Atticus Finch, has served as a moral hero to many readers and as a model of integrity for lawyers. One critic explains the impact of the novel by writing: "In the twentieth century, To Kill a Mockingbird is probably the most read book about race in the United States, and its protagonist, Atticus Finch, the most enduring fictional image of racial heroism."
Like a Southern Gothic novel and a Bildungsroman, the main themes of To Kill a Mockingbird imply racial injustice and the destruction of innocence. Scholars have noted that Lee also addresses issues of class, courage, compassion and gender roles in the deep South American. The book is widely taught in schools in the United States with lessons that emphasize tolerance and discredit prejudice. Despite its themes, To Kill a Mockingbird has been targeted for elimination from public classrooms often challenged by its use of racial epithets.
The reaction to the novel varied widely after publication. Despite the number of copies sold and their widespread use in education, literary analysis is scarce. The author Mary McDonough Murphy, who compiled the individual impressions of To Kill to Mockingbird of several authors and public figures, calls the book "a surprising phenomenon". In 2006, British librarians classified the book ahead of the Bible as one "all adults should read before they die." It was adapted into an Oscar-winning film in 1962 by director Robert Mulligan, with a script by Horton Foote. Since 1990, a play based on the novel has been held annually in the hometown of Harper Lee.
Killing a Mockingbird was Lee's only published book until Go Set a Watchman, an earlier draft of To Kill a Mockingbird, was published on July 14, 2015. Lee continued to respond to the impact of his work until his death in February. 2016, although he had rejected any personal advertising for her or the novel since 1964.

Harper Lee was a woman
I have a crush on Atticus. He is a great man!
I’ve just finished reading the book and want to watch the film but I don’t think I can handle breaking down 4 times 😢
0:17- Weird way to promote The Omen (1976).
0:58- (As Gregory Peck) We'll deal with Fred Krueger in due time, which surely won't come back to haunt us.
this is what happy looks like :)
At times this book is boring as F but damn I have never learned so many life lessons in such a long time as I have in this book.
Very good movie I loved it❤
If anyone knows any good movies from when colored tv weren't around please recommend me some.
