Hi Paul and Anthony, wonderful to see how you looked after Dexter is such a wonderful dog and a big part of your life and also a big part of the CZcams family. I had to leave my youngest dog Lily at the vets to get her desexed in the time I got outside of the vets. I was Balling like a baby is so hard to leave your precious part of your family behind my oldest dog Susie. She is 13 years old and unfortunately she has cancer. The vet told me she would pass away for years ago, but she is still going strong. Praise God anyway guys keep up the good work always appreciate your videos , Cliff from Australia
Hey Cliff. They are a worry and worse because they can’t tell us what is wrong with them. I hated leaving Dexter at the vets. Sorry to hear about Susie but amazing she is still going strong. Fingers crossed for more years to come for her. Hope you have a lovely weekend ❤️

My corgi Emma did that choking thing too and sometimes vomit. The Vet suggested elevating both her food and water dishes so that she didn't have to bend her neck so much, and it helped. Maybe try that with Dexter. Good luck!
Thanks Debba. We bought a food tray that is off the floor but it didn’t really help. We have resorted to liquidising his food and he doesn’t choke with this, which is a relief. Have a lovely weekend and thank you for the suggestion ❤️
Love this week’s vlog. We live very near Gannow tunnel. Have always wondered what it was like inside. We often walk by the canal through the regenerated industrial area ( to the pub), completely different to rural or countryside landscapes. Great seeing Burnley shown in a positive way too. Pleased to see Paul is doing well, Dexter has done well with all his tests and Anthony impressive with the couch to 5km. Best wishes to you all Pete & Andrea
Thanks guys. It is a lovely stretch. Made up Dexter had a good result from the vets. Paul has to have laser surgery on his other eye but at least he can work again on his art.
I wanted to try and do additional exercise on top of the 3 days at the gym.

Bad place to lose power eh, bit scary. Those covers are a great idea but wouldn’t a block out blind have been easier, who wants to get out in the heat to put them on, great idea though. I so worry about Dex, I’ll bet you two do also, I worry about Dani too as she’s getting on in years though Dex has a few years on her, please give him a kiss and a cuddle for me. A Central Highlands town in Tasmania has had record low temperatures this week .On Wednesday the temp was minus 12.9 celsius then on Thursday broke its own record to get 13.5 making the small town of Liawenee the coldest place in Australia. There is a population of 2 , the police officer and the person who takes the weather readings .The police officer is kept busy as there are many fishing shacks

Thanks Kathy. We are over the moon. We can’t so him ageing but he is loved and content with life. Skylight covers will definitely come in useful when it gets warm again. Paul is doing so much better, thankfully. I am really trying to be discipline with my exercise. The toast was lovely 😋. The cake was a lovely treat but not doing it as often.

Dexter, he is throwing a few worries your way recently but coming through them thankfully, bless him. Good work Anthony with the 5k and keeping fit and healthy in general (wont count those few chips and the gorgeous looking cakes) At least Paul can start doing the locks for some exercise. He really is Susan. I guess it is inevitable as he gets older. I am quite enjoying the exercise and it means I can have the occasional cake without much effect 😊. All the Leeds Liverpool locks are double I think.it is hard work as a solo boater.

What a beautiful cruise. Many, many, many years ago I had a holiday on the Leeds and Liverpool (I think I was about 10!). Can’t say I recognise it but isn’t it beautiful.

I badly broke my leg August 2022 and , with a plate fitted, could no longer run . Undeterred, I now brisk walk a few miles each day 😊. Good luck. Keep safe and well both of you. Thank you and thanks for watching. We now blend chicken thighs and dog food in a nutri bullet with water, to the consistency of soup and he is eating a lot more and doesn’t choke. We can even add his medication to it. Thanks again for your kind comment’s 👍
Watching our pets grow old is so hard, especially if they are unwell and can't tell us what is wrong. Waiting for scans is excruciating. You are both doing a great job of making life as easy as possible for him. He knows he is loved and cared for. Good to be able to meet up with friends to catch up. That must have been scary for a bit losing power in the tunnel, I was thinking you might have to”walk” the boat out like they used to do. You always find friends wherever you go, that says an other about you both🥰. So glad to hear Dexter hasn’t got cancer, poor lad, you’ll be having to mash all his food if the coughing doesn’t stop. It was s lush and green along the canal, the sheep and geese were cute, I think that cow couldn’t believe its eyes seeing so many goslings.😂.
Not much new here this week, my daughter is still away so Son in law and I have been holding down the fort, I have heard many “ I’m bored” already and it’s only week one. When I offer to find them some work to do they are not so bored it seems.
I’m busy doing laundry today, I got behind so have several loads to do to catch up. The weather has been sunny and hot some days then a day or so of rain so everything is growing like crazy.👍🏼
What do you think of the election results? Seems like a lot of people were fed up and just voting for a change, any change. I think that will happen here as well, I worry when the state of world politics is in such a mess that we really don’t have time to put an untested Prime Minister at the helm and they don’t have much international experience.
We have 7 bases above us in the Arctic, saying they don’t agree with our maps and want control of the trade route that will be very important if enough ice melts to allow big ships through. Anyway, never talk politics or religion with friends my Nan always said. 😂🥰🙋🏼♀️

Ah, such a wonderful vlog with all the stunning scenery and shots! And is it true i only saw one plate of cakes for four people and Dexter? Speaking of which, i hope he is fine by now and back to his usual chilled self. Getting old brings on these extra tasks, i remember it well with my old Renzo. He nearly got to 18. But i love older dogs so much. They make us realize what are the important bits in life. Fingers crossed he’ll be having a good old life left with lots of treats!❤🐕❤️

We all want our fur babies to be with us forever,but I suspect he has some oesophagus block,dont want to mention what,but Anthony being in the medical profession may of come across this,reflux,bile,froth and unable to eat too much.Sending big hugs to you all during this stressful time.
We do Penelope and at the moment, he seems pain free and content bless him. They found a benign tumour next to his oesophagus, which explains his symptoms. We have resorted to liquidising his food, which has definitely helped. Thank you for the hugs. Have a good weekend ❤️
