    Verse 1
    Andinayo imali / I don't have money
Ndihluphekile / I am in misery
    Thandazile / I have prayed
Kuzolunga nini / when will things be fine
Nanku ememeza / there they are shouting
Amashwa emuva /bad luck haunting them
Bunjani ubomi kwabanye bethu / how is life to some of us
    Chorus
Ewe ndifile engqondweni/ yes I am dead in the mind
Inkathazo azipheli endleleni yami / my troubles never end
    Yhoo yhoooo yhoo
Yhoo ii yhoo mamawe (crying for my mother basically)
    Verse 02 - Ndu
Oh ilanga liyiba linye inyembezi zami ziyophenduka imvula
    * (One day my tears will turn into rain)
Ithukuthuku zami zibe ibusiso izinto zibelula
    * (My sweat becomes my blessings)
    Sekuphele iminyaka amathuba empumelelo emphutha
    * (It’s been too many years of losing all my opportunities)
Ngikhala kuwe mdali wami nawe thonga lami please phendula
    * (am crying to you Lord & my ancestors ,please reply)
    Ikati lilele eziko, nginjengenyoni engenampiko
    * (Hunger is killing me, I’m like a bird with no wings)
IMpilo yami Yonke ngisebenzela ukufeza ezikaMama ifiso
    * (All my life I’ve been working to make my Mother’s wishes come true)
    Indlela zami zigcwele amashwa amabhadi
    * (My Ways Are full of bad luck & darkness)
    Aw nosizi sekumngani wami
    * (grief is my new friend now)
    Eh kwakhala nyonini dlozi lami
    * (What happened my ancestors??)
    Ngoba seng’basathe ak’hlangani
    * (Because I’ve been trying but nothing works out)
    Chorus
Ewe ndifile engqondweni/ yes I am dead in the mind
Inkathazo azipheli endleleni yami / my troubles never end
    Yhoo yhoooo yhoo
Yhoo ii yhoo mamawe (crying for my mother basically)
    Oh Gogo / Grandmothers
Bayakhala oGogo / the Grandmothers all over are crying
    oGogo / Grandmothers
Bakhala yonke impela Sonto / They cry each and every weekend
    Mama wami / My mother
Oh ngisho uMam’wami / Even my mother
    Ang’samazi / I don’t know her now
Usehlala emtholampilo / Cause she’s now located in Hospital
Oh we Bafana liguqubele izulu / My male warriors the weather on our side is dark and bad
Oh we Bafana indlu emnyama ivelelwe/ My male warriors the black families are suffering
Oh we Bafana liguqubele izulu / My male warriors the weather on our side is dark and bad

As a Zimbabwean who has been living abroad for more than a decade and a half this song was written for me. For us. How long are we going to be economic slaves in our own motherland? This goes out to every Zimbabwean who has had to leave home and endure the worst of the worst in order to make a living and feed many mouths back home as an economic refugee. We have endured the most. Also to my Nigerian, Ghanaian, Congolese, Rwandese etc who have left home in search for greener pastures... Salute

I’m Gabonese and I love South Africa, you have been the leading exemple of Africa when it comes to fighting the oppression and for that you will forever have the respect of every other countries in the world. In my country the oppression is made by instrumented black government working for French Oppressors which means that I understand your struggle. We on this continent understand your struggles and we may not live the same difficulties at the same level or maybe do we. Kodwa South Africa WE STAND WITH YOU. Siyanithanda, sisonke siyazwelana buhlungu lani. Please qhubeka noku sebenza nokufunda, it’s the only option left for us poor people. Education is key , qina bafethu. @@bhekagasa434 No I've not. I've always loved South African film industry, so I watch a lot of soapies and movies. While watching one with the English subtitles I realised that I understood some words, as they are similar to my mothertongue, so I decided to pay more attention and learn. I memorized the language and some Google Trad is also helping :) My dream is that the whole Bantu youth realize how much we are similar, we share the same culture from Central Africa to the South !

This song just brought tears in my eyes and sadness in my heart. This is our reality but I have hope that one day things will change for the better but that will only happen if we unite and stop hating each other and competing with one another as a black nation. I wish more people listened to such music instead of the garbage played on Radio/TV. The world needs more artists who speak the truth and touch lives.

Lots of truth in your words MaMncube... I'm hopeful. There are pockets of unity and co-ordination. The plan to revive black consciousness and the black power movement is becoming very clear.. Ami Faku sounded like Samthing Soweto on one of her songs. It's beautiful and interesting to see that she's politically charged too.. aboMiriam Makeba, Brenda Fassie and Hugh Masekela were important in shaping societal focus - pre--94 most artists were woke. Glad to see that the wave is coming back.

I am proud to be *African* though I don't understand what they're singing but it touches my heart.
We *Black Africans* are our very own problem. We'd rather go to church and pray than work smart.
We'd rather pay tithes in hopes that some miracle will happen.
    - We seat and do almost nothing feeling entitled thinking our governments will do everything for us and yet we get mad when our African brothers and sisters put in work to make ends meet when they see opportunities we willing choose to neglect. At that point, we think the best solution is to chase them away to go back to their countries as if, if we had put in work we won't have changed the narrative.
    - We'd rather drag each other down just because we envy other's success. Failing to understand it's because of hardwork that they are where they are today. Rather than support them, learn from them, ask for advice and start off small and build up, we'd rather destroy everything so we all suffer together. While doing all this, the real culprit *The White Man* stands on the other side, looks at how we kill each other and laughs. While waiting to come amass everything as soon as we are dead from fighting. We really need to change OUR *MINDSETS* and *STOP* *THE BLAME GAME.* We can for sure do better.
    Where is *UHURU* 💖🌍✊🏿

Eish, this song just made me realize how privileged I really am. This system really isn't just to the people of colour. Sincenga ukuthandwa abelungu besizonda😭😭. We shouldn't have adopted this American model past apartheid, it was never made to benefit us all.
