HD: R142 S.P.E.E.D Unit Train Testing on the Pelham Line

- A 5 Car R142 Set was borrowed from Unionport Yard to be used as a "S.P.E.E.D Unit on the Pelham Line to test signals along the line. Since all of the NTT's are now off the 6 line, this was quite cool to see. Enjoy!
The scene in 3:30 is my favorite stop which is named “Castle Hill Avenune” I like this station because it is my home stop.
6 train sometimes has R142s on the weekends to Grand Concourse 149
tbh they should add a Sign S.P.E.E.D UNIT
Is this for future CBTC on the pelham Line or just for the train to arrive fast to the station?

R142 currently and R142A Retirement.
No the R142/as are not retiring on the Pelham line However the r142as got transferred to the Flushing line for Cbtcs And the rest of the r142as were sent to the Jerome avenue 4 line
That's the reason why you see All the 62as back on the Pelham line. The r142as not retiring
Pretty soon we all will be seeing the brand new R262s on the Pelham line so start appreciateing riding the r62as on the Pelham line while they here
