The video is really good at what it does: correcting student mistakes. But it only goes part way. It is about individual words when spoken in isolation. When those words get spoken in sentences, tones change. For example, if tone 1 follows tone 1, the second is lower. Normal speech is too fast for pitch changes within one syllable, so the "rising/falling" parts only happen in the last syllable before a pause. No mistakes in this video, but there's a lot more to learn in order to 听懂中文还是说话。

I agree. This video is for beginners who don’t know how to say tones correctly. You are right, tones change in conversation, but not big change, just not that obvious like when you practice it one by one. It’s a good way to get the correct tones first then when you are familiar with them, it’s time to think about natural tones. I feel tones are more difficult than grammar for Chinese learners.

    很有帮助,谢谢!我大部分不读声调,因为很难记得词的声调。有人听得懂我,但是一个朋友从不明白。

      中文就是用声调来distinguish 不一样的词的,所以如果不读声调,我们可以猜你说的意思,但是有时候真的猜不出来。

      词的声调不需要记,只需要说说说说说很多次。

    第一声和第四声我经常读错。请问老师怎么客服呢?

第一声比较高,而且非常stable. Don’t change your tone when you say it. 第四声always sounds you are angry. So it goes down.
