I like instrumental music as well but that also started depressing me. Qur'an has never given me anything but peace. It makes you cry and builds a spiritual connection that is totally unreal. Torah and Bible don't have recitation, it's mainly reading, so I never felt depressed as we believe that Torah and Bible are books of Allah as well, but has been altered with the passage of time. And still is often interpreted in any manner people want according to the the messed up trends of current era. For example, Bible is 100% against sodomy, but the church is flexible enough to ignore it and acknowledge that love conquers all and homosexuality was not correctly understood in biblical times. Whereas Qur'an it's 1400+ years of history, has NEVER been changed nor misinterpreted. And people can try all they want but Qur'an can never be changed. If you can put bias aside for a while, and listen to Qur'an for research purposes, it'll help a lot.

@@Alexander_45 Every person also grew up listening to songs on and off. Whenever I listened to songs, it depressed me. And I'm talking about clean and slow songs, often considered soulful. I like instrumental music as well but that also started depressing me. Qur'an has never given me anything but peace. It makes you cry and builds a spiritual connection that is totally unreal. Torah and Bible don't have recitation, it's mainly reading, so I never felt depressed as we believe that Torah and Bible are books of Allah as well, but has been altered with the passage of time. And still is often interpreted in any manner people want according to the the messed up trends of current era. For example, Bible is 100% against sodomy, but the church is flexible enough to ignore it and acknowledge that love conquers all and homosexuality was not correctly understood in biblical times. Whereas Qur'an it's 1400+ years of history, has NEVER been changed nor misinterpreted. And people can try all they want but Qur'an can never be changed. If you can put bias aside for a while, and listen to Qur'an for research purposes, it'll help a lot.
