- Join me as I check and people check me out at the world famous Kirkcaldy Links Market for the very first time located in Kirkcaldy, Scotland
This huge Scottish fair is the longest street fair in Europe and it really is as it’s at least a mile long and has a ton of rides including around 30 thrill rides, it is also one of the busiest fairs I have ever visited
Unfortunately just like a tradition on this channel I didn’t have time to experience more of this massive fair and only had time for 4 rides including 2 Caterpillar coasters and 2 Ghost Trains
This vlog is part of a Easter Bank Holiday Scottish road trip we took in a rented motorhome and this is 1 of 4 vlogs I filmed dying our epic trip around Scotland
All footage was filmed in 2.7k 50fps using a GoPro Hero 9 Black With official accessories

My home town :) although I live a few miles up the road now. Yeah 'the market' as locals call it can be busy at the best of times. After two years without it, folk were even more excited to get back! It's a shame you only had 90 mins, no time to do it justice really. The locals are friendly, honest! And believe it or not, we do have vloggers in Scotland! Great to see you up here anyway, enjoy your stay north of the border :)
I really wish we had more time but still had to drive up to our campsite near Aberdeen which took ages so glad we left when we did, if I go again I will definitely plan ahead
So happy you made it to the links market. Wish we came the same day as you so we could have met you. We live just 20mins away from where the links market was and went twice whilst it was on
Literally felt for you through that, however the zoom ins throughout the video were funny. We spent 8 hours there with how big it was and spent way too much lol. Thanks for the shout (kind of 😂) with your walk, I was glad when you made it to the other side. Shame you didn't plan this one as there was so much more for you there (Speed Buzz for sure!)

Had a chat with the ride op on the last ghost train shortly after you left. Turns out his dad bolted it in to the ride once he saw you enter with a massive grin on his face.
Nice video Andy 👍 I love the Kirkcaldy links market I was here I was on the 3 ghost trains sam stokes hell chaser is my favourite ghost train I was on 5 Waltzers and the sky swing and all the roller coasters I had a great time here wish me and my mum had met you when we were there because wee a big fan keep up the great videos mate
I would have coped worse than you with all those people the constant stares of everyone. It makes the experience uncomfortable and when you get idiots who have a go because they don't want to be filmed, makes the experience hard to enjoy. We vlog primarily because we enjoy it, when its not fun anymore it becomes a chore. I enjoyed your look around a fair I had never seen before though.

Nope said Kirkcaldy wrong Andy 😂.. good vlog it's always a busy fair the best time to vlog it is during the week its not as busy mind you first time its back since covid so showmen were saying its been busier than normal, you would think some peoples never seen a camera before 😂.
That was so distressing, I hate places like that when its so busy its no fun at all. Well done for continuing with it.

I went on the 17th of April, it was really busy for us too. Good day out but wasn't a good day for my bank account 😂. The codonas starchaser waltzers are the best one there👍

My god, ive seen some people look a bit purplexed by seeing a vlogger but never those looks of absolute discust you got there... Funny and fair play, i couldn't do that...
It was funny editing the vlog as obviously I can’t see behind me while filming, well I can but the screen on the GoPro is too small lol 😂
I was there Friday it was open till 11 but I was staying in Kirkcaldy

Rather you than me I've never seen so many people at a street fair ,p t vlogs have been there and his vlog didn't look as busy ,people have been in lockdown so long in Scotland it's going to be a crazy summer ,stay safe and enjoy the rest of thud new season love to tilly too

Gutted to have missed you. We went for opening time at 1. Lasted 90mins as it was getting busy. We parked 15 mins away by Kirkcaldy Rugby Club. Maybe something to consider if you guys come back up.
Thanks for coming to the Links Market Andy. We don’t get as many fairs in Scotland as you do in England so that’s why it was so busy. The Saturday is always the busiest day also. Was exciting as a child but as an adult, if I go, it’s always a week day or the Sunday. It’s a great atmosphere as the lights come on and it’s the event of the year for Kirkcaldy and most of Fife probably. There’s even a model version every year.
Yeah hopefully next time I plan it better and yes I did hear about the model fair but didn’t see it or know where it was
Great vlog as always Andy. Despite all the hassle of having to find a cash machine and with the massive amount of people there, you still were able to vlog and get the credits. I admire you for your patience and dedication to carry on and get the job done. Keep up the excellent work 👏🏻

Camera battery died.watch died.and I think if you stayed any longer you would have died !! Felt your pain on this vlogg Andy...I would have spun around on my heels and gone straight back to the motorhome !!.But you will walk round with a bright pink 10ft gopro..must have been because all the looks you were getting lol...think you need a few days off after that!

Yeah I think if I stayed longer my vlog would have been 2hrs long as there was so many rides
That looked uncomfortable some times. Like someone said they don't look like they are used to vloggers lol. You need a good full day there, looked like there was some sik rides there. And you want trying living in Stoke on trent, am sure it's homeless centrel. So looking forward to the travel vlog👍

The links market is rammed every year. Why go to the longest fair in Europe and complain that its busy??
I had never been before or even seen anyone who had been before therefore I had no idea it was gonna be a busy as it was considering most fairs I visit are very quiet
Saturday always rammed avoid Friday & saturday, best days to visit if you like it quiet is Saturday & Sunday Wednesday not overly busy either (tip from a local)
