That's the most distracting dashboard I've seen.
This is what I thought at first sight but it’s more well executed that you would imagine, putting useful information, including the speedometer, in the location closest to where your eyes should be… on the road. I find it to be more like a head up display in that it reduces distraction. The screen design is simple, uncluttered, and does not contain any distracting elements.
The glare would drive me crazy 😅 imagine installing an antiglare screen protector
Road trips would be insane
no, go get the drive test, the screens are below your eye sight, if you are foucs on the road, you don't even feel it
What does that cost to replace when it fails?
I bet at $3k at least. Also bet the screen might die in the south florida heat. Just like it does to any kind of Lithium battery.
You CAN'T afford
The check engine light had me distracted. 0:49
Why's that? Because you want to try to perpetuate Ford vehicles as being crap? That light was on because he only had the accessories turned on and not also the engine. It'll be like that in any car. As you can see when he was driving at 3:17, that light is not on.
Its supposed to turn on so you know where it is.
This will age so well...
Looks like a Huge driver distraction.
You cant use your phone while driving but this is perfectly fine 🤦🏾♂️what did we learn from the iphone issue?.. in 10 years they will say sorry but we cant fix it cuz we dont provide support for those models anymore lol 🤣
I love the check engine light 😂👍🏼
i need to see this panels with the new carplay
No one told them that sometimes less is more. This just makes me dizzy looking at all those screens and then looking at the road.
Imagine if only the us would allow digital side view cameras instead of mirrors.
Nope. Light is faster than digital signal processing. Very helpful in scenarios where time defines if u crash or not.
@@kasim7929exactly 💯
How much will it cost to repair it for some fault? An arm or a leg?
I wish they kept the v6 higher horsepower option
In-car distraction is getting out of control.
Nice, informative presentation. 👏👏
That is a beautiful looking screen. However, seeing all of this video screen and touchscreen madness, the more I appreciate the physical dash design, actual gauges, reasonable size screen, and iDrive in my 2018 BMW. It has a touchscreen, but I never need to be distracted by looking at where to touch it.
If I've learned one, that thing is analog can alot of times be better. 1. Lots of technology in a car can mean lots can go wrong. 2. While driving on the road, especially a bumpy road. It's very hard to hold your 👉 in one place to control a touch panel, try it with your phone. And 3. A computer can screw up at any time under the right conditions. This is from using them for over 40 years. Sometimes, all that gltters it not gold.
It's kind of odd they downsized the middle screen from 13.2" from the previous gen Nautilus to this new 11" display to fit with the 48" display
Give me a simple car any day of the week
Then why are you watching this video shouldn’t you be in a old vintage car channel
Talk about distractions and planned obsolescence. Ooof.
As we have laws to not use phones while driving, car manufacturers add more distraction.
Huh. I usually am not a Lincoln fan but it actually looks nice
Many cars are starting to use tech that isn't practical in the driver's day to day use.
Plus, automakers have no clue how to really do tech. Most of these systems are laggy and not really intuitive. They need to hire tech companies like Google, Samsung, Apple, LG, etc to design and make all the screens and software. That's what most consumers are used to, then they get into a car - a brand new one even - and it's like stepping back into time. Some are getting better, but overall it's rather lame.
I'm favoured, $22K every week! I can now give back to the locals in my community and also support God's work and the church. God bless America.
Well...l will advise you should stop
trading on your own if you keep losing
and start trading with an expert
because trading with an expert is the
best strategy for newbie...😊
Investing in crypto/forex is a good idea,
a good trading system would put you
through many days of success.
Interesting. I have a lump sum doing
absolutely nothing at all in my bank
account, I wanna get something started
with it. You seem to be doing excellent
for yourself, how do you achieve this?
Maureen assessment of
cryptocurrencies is by far the most
accurate... A must for all beginners and
experienced crypto traders.
YES!!! That's exactly her name (Mrs Maureen) so many people have
recommended highly about her and am
just starting with her 😊 from United States
48 inch screen
But you need another touch screen to input changes
👍🤣
A screen for your screen 😂🤣
That interior looks cramped. What happed to the old Lincolns we had high-school that could fit 8 people and every seat had its own ashtray?
The center screen appears not only very low but also too upright.
way too many screens....very confusing to look at
They should put some screen wide ads scrolling across that thing
That looks A LOT better than Mercedes' awful tablet screens.
Agree! I can't stand their screens. 10+ years later and they still have a huge 1" black border around the image. Even then, but especially now, technology has been able to have an image go to the edge of the device. Why they can't do that now when nearly ever other automaker is doing it with their screens makes no sense. But hey, the best or nothing!
The whole right side of the 48" screen seems useless. They should've just made the infotainment screen bigger and put that stuff there.
Get used to it people. This is what's coming into every car in the near future. Remember when 2002 bmw 7 series introduced the digital display for the first time, and every one was hating it. See how it turned out?
I have a touch pad in my Lexus,,,,,to me mouse pad was easier,,,,no doubt you have to take eyes off the road
Imagine the cost of replacing it if something happens.
I would be ok if Toyota made this but getting this kind of thing from Lincoln is asking for a 5 year headache 😂
Well done and thanks for starting where I cared about the most the screens
If done well, this is the future. Some people won't give it a chance though.
imagine how many people are going to die because drivers are going to be distracted
Weirdo
I love this vehicle but it’s only good in it top trim and hard to find any of these on lots as they seem to be built to order. If they went stalkless it would be perfect!
I’d be impressed if the the screen on the passenger side is polarized so my passenger can use it for media and entertainment.
Rediculous.
Lincoln has shamelessly copied the Audi q8 here. 😂😂😂😂
❤Relaxing Voice Sir good job🎉
My only problem with this is that stupid middle display that's just on an island. Why??? Just go with the dashboard display or do the same thing everyone else is doing
The question you should be asking yourself is what can the passenger do with the side of the display in front of them?
In most newer cars, you can watch Internet television, such as Amazon fire TV or Netflix.
The one thing I haven’t seen them demonstrate is whether or not that is possible. Do passengers get a pair of Bluetooth headphones in order to listen to what they see?
Unfortunately, nothing. It isn't a passenger display screen like others have. It would be nice, when the vehicle is in park, if you could watch movies or videos on it. I feel they missed out on a lot of opportunities with this monitor. The items that you can display three at a time are rather pointless. Other than what song/media is playing, the rest have no need to be on constant display. It's a waste, and I would probably just have it set to calm mode which is even more of a waste.
Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. Design is also about making tough decisions. I guess this fits Lincoln’s brand image-dying.
their margins are getting higher and cost to make a vehicle cheaper due to screens but price of car is high.. we really need to bring back analog this is ridiculous 😅 I don’t like screens personally but Toyota does it the most simple it’s not bad but man wish we had options of no screens on all manufacturers
Nobody would buy
I love that screen. I always thought that if cars will have screens, one large broad one is the smart way to do it, rather than an oversized iPad stuck in the middle, where you have to look down, away from the road to see the navigation directions. Also, this way the passenger in front also gets a nice entertainment screen. Really smart. But it's funny, I see the CNET audience hates the screen, but if you watch a Lincoln video, everyone is only mad they didn't do it for more cars.
How about no!
Can we talk about the rectangular steering wheel?
It should use eye tracking software and make whatever you're looking at a little bigger and minimize everything else a little. That should feel a little less distracting.
Yall call anything a distraction i swear 😂
I like it. Good review too by the way.
Im younger and even I think this is too much. Its sensory overload. Yes you can limit what shows but I would have been perfectly happy with just the center touchscreen and a digital speedometer panel. Not to mention replacement costs. Or even cleaning the interior will be different because now I have to use cleaner specifically made for a screen. I just want a simple car.
Useless.
A Chinese car at full Lincoln pricing. I wouldn’t park one in my garage.
can it run Crysis tho?
Lol it's been years since I've heard that joke. But it makes sense haha.
I see alot of folks complaining about something they can't afford...😅
I Love the Front End 🔥🔥
Look how far down he has to look to interact with the touchscreen. Yet another reason to stay away from anyone driving in Lincoln.
I like this, but I can't see this not being a very cool distraction for most people.
Another Lincoln disaster Tech screen. You cannot drive looking ahead and deal with a pillar to pillar display. I drive the Corsair and it’s crazy trying to drive and change simple stuff like temp. And fan speed etc.
The implementation is terrible.
The large display isn’t touch.
The smaller display is touch, delegates info to the larger display, and takes up knee space and legroom.
The passenger wants to watch TV. Not watch TPMS or the odometer
Cool it’s sexy! To me that’s the stupidest decision these cars now looking like my gaming desk. Distractions are not the word not to mention it’s a car focus on the road let’s reduce accidents more computers for this company to add to more problems they can’t fix purkey junk
I don’t see why all the hate. Looks like a car company is finally trying to develop better software. Just because I have a clock and weather off to my right doesn’t mean I’m going to be staring at that and not watching the road, lol. It might be unnecessary, but it looks nice to me.
Ford/Lincoln can add all the screens they want. It all comes down to how long you’re going to spend in the service department. Based on my experience, I can almost guarantee you will spend many hours there.👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
Ever wondered why American cars don't sell well outside America...? That is terrible!
Love it
I was hoping this was an EV before he opened the hood 😅 Pass. Maybe 4 years from now.
An they wonder why Chinese are coming up quick computers ain’t Licoln’s strong point perhaps how about they don’t make vehicle period copying all the wrong gimmicks
Too much fuss
Foolishness.
I'm sorry, but having to look way over to the passenger side to see what song's playing and what my MPG is? Non-starter.
Simplicity is best. One screen in front of the driver, and actual buttons wherever possible. I'll accept the secondary smaller screen for the rear cam, but this wide screen is an unnecessary innovation.
Lame.
It’s time the government step in. This is getting outrageous. FOCUS ON DRIVING
Lame gimmick.
I'm buying day 1. All the comments on driver distraction . Get with the times. Everything is multi task now.. y'all moan when america behind in tech and etc ,but when USA legacy company, do get it right . All these comments. It's shameful folk Never satisfied with a good american brand.. Too much negativity in the country.!!. Where the joy and pride of usa brand and moving forward in American tech . and better yet buying a American brand automobile !! Financial Support. Rather buy bmw or Benz and other stuff... Outlandish and down right disrespectful to the country survival.!!
All I buy is American automotives. Lincoln, Buick. Cadillac. Ford.. Chevy.!!! It ok to play favorite. But come on. Man!!!
