- Police in Fremont released additional details and body camera video Friday in connection with a fatal police shooting of a robbery suspect along Highway 84 last month. Ken Bastida reports. (4-16-21)

Look at the extended magazine on that pistol. So much for the Calif law that says mags are legal only if they hold 10 rounds or less. Criminals and gangsters don't obey laws.
It adds time to their sentences. Of course, when there are still States that allow them to purchase these, it certainly makes enforcement more difficult.

Ken says the gun allegedly used to shoot at the officer, right after he says the video clearly shows the bad guy shooting at the officer. The media is SO one sided.

Well the don’t know for sure if that was the gun he shot. It could have used one gun and dropped that one with out using it.
Stupid to tip-toe around the criminal as he shot dead. He is no longer a 'suspect' who 'allegedly' did anything. I HIGHLY doubt the deceased's name will be cleared after the investigation is over, and that is even taking into account that this is the liberal Bay Area of California!

I agree with the praying for good and whatnot, but I do disagree with not glorifying this. After reading all the stories of bad guys killing and injuring and terrorizing innocent victims as well as police officers getting injured and killed, it is refreshing to see good triumph over evil in 1080 or whatever resolution body cams happen to be.

"In this case" the suspect had a gun and became a threat to not only the officer but the citizens around him in the car chase, so force was justified. That said let's be clear the other cases didn't go down like this and some of them the suspect didn't even have a gun.
