We've got pirates! We've got vampires! Merfolk! And of course, DINOSAURS! We are venturing into the lost caverns of Ixalan with Admiral Brass, Clevileno, Pantlaza and Hakbal! Which creature tribe will come out on top?

For commanders I'd like to see, some more obscure commanders that you rarely see would be awesome! First one coming to mind would be something like Renari, Merchant of Marvels. That would be a great deck building challenge, I think :)
I think the world is ready for the Universes Beyond battle of transformers v dr who v lord of the rings v jurassic park!

Pirates were sleeping with the fishes hence why the merfolk acted like their relatives doing nothing to stop them.
With the Pirate deck winning here are some fun Pirate (in Magic) facts
1) As of now 50% of all Merfolk pirates are banned...well there are only two Brineborn Cutthroat and Hullbreacher
2) As of Lost Caverns elf is the last characteristic race (basically the race linked to but not limited to a colour) as we got a Vampire Pirate
3) Out of the 147 pirate creatures only 26 make treasures
4) Pirates are primarily blue with 60 of them being blue, 42 are red and only 25 are black. This is mainly due to commander legends, but a bit funny as originally the pirates of Ixalan where more in dimir and rakdos, but since commander legends wotc has been focusing on izzet as the primary pirate colours
5) With the release of Francisco it is finally possible to have a Rakdos pirate deck with a pirate at it's helm. There simply isn't a RB pirate legend as of now
6) speaking legendary. the inconsistency in red Pirate mythics might be that. Ragavan might be one of the strongest red mythics ever, while Rowdy Crew is one of the worst.
7) On the topic of colours again Xavier Sal is the only pirate with green in his colour identity and as of now there is now pirate with white in its colour identity.

I think you can't cast damn before combat if direfleet daredevil is being resurrected by brass, cause damn is a sorcery and daredevil says "this turn" so you have to respect timing restrictions.

But now only token copies can transform or flip, because clones only copy the face of the card that they see when you choose.

@@QMTG Yeah the rules are a bit confusing, but things like Irenicus vile duplication, that create a token copy can flip, where as clones etc, that enter the battlefield as, or become a copy of ... like pirated copy can only copy the characteristics they see. It was basically done to accommodate incubator tokens, which transform. Great game though , entertaining, especially the combat sequence "taking the least damage" haha.
Wow the Admiral Brass deck was really upgraded by adding "Play Against Esmond Who Lets You Do Whatever You Want". Where can I pick that card up?

Yea totally fair, there was a lot going on in this game, especially with brand new commander decks from a new set. Was a great game to watch!
The copy would be a 4/4 because Brass ability says "it become". So no matter what, it always be a 4/4 unless pump.
Also it can't transform.
701.25a Only permanents represented by double-faced cards can transform.
Thumbs up to Hazim for asking permission to handle other people's cards.
One thing of note even though it doesn't affect the result: a copy of etali can not transform as it doesn't have a back side to flip to

Biggest issue with Pantlaza is that once per turn. Gishath is just better. I do thi k it would have bern cool if it said do it again if it hits a dinosaur spell. Oh well... you can kinda get around it with blink spells like ephemerate.
Pantlaza is a perfectly fine design for a midpower deck. Not every commander needs to be pushed to the moon
And if not once per turn, do you think you can stop Pantlaza when Gishath deal a full damage? and enters all dinosaurs + discover.
