  • Well here is some LL baseball drama. Nice triple from Kyler, HR taken away. After the coach got ejected parents decided to pull their kids off the field. Nice example to set, right? There was some back story before this play, the coach kept questioning the umpire trying to have a pissing contest. On the flip side we won, the score was 6-1 when this unfolded.

      Umpires are supposed to know the rules and generally an umpire who has done it for a while has read the Rulebook multiple times and has received training from their district, if not from little league international. But even still, the umpire dictates the game, not a coach or manager. Without hearing the actual conversation on the field it looks like the manager was continuing to jaw at the umpire even after a warning. That’s a no no.

      You always had the drunk mom that would yell during games with my generation, but in general, mothers weren’t as “involved” then and most just sat and watched their son and clapped. Now that the millennial girls are mothers now it’s a whole different story. They all want to be seen and heard even though they don’t know a fucking thing about what they are watching. This is exactly why you see the men standing along side the fences down the lines instead of sitting in the stands with these women

      I think police deserve more credit but the few bad apples have made it hard on top of a society that hated authority figures, have lost their moral compass, and just plain crazy. Yet just like officials some police officers don't know the laws, people constitutional rights, and make bad decisions. In all jobs people are going to make mistakes but if you are reasonable, know the policies, rules, or laws you can make 95% happy.

    As both a former LL coach and them a LL umpire, the last thing anyone needed was loud parents yelling from the bleachers telling us what to do, and I think the kids were almost always embarrassed. So lady with the camera, please relax and let the umps and the coaches figure things out.

    I'm glad I played little league in the late 60's and early 70's. Parents watched and
    cheered and would have never acted like some of the parents act today. I would
    have been so embarrassed if my mom and dad even voiced their opinion about
    a call.

      Absolutely that was Karen hollering from the bleachers but instead of the manager the umpire and the volunteer coaches were going to hear what she had to say as she is a LL rules expert. They employ her there for her baseball acumen.
