The fact that he was able to have control of the whole scene without having to get out of his seat or yell, only raise his voice at the very end, shows how powerful Tony was. While the other guy had to try to take control by standing up and shouting at Tony, but as soon as Tony started talking it just shut him down instantly.

Feech was a great character. You just knew he was going to a problem. The scene where Tony realizes he’s a lost cause is great. I also liked how they dealt with him rather than just a whacking
The look in his eyes after being so aggressive and realizing the possible repercussions for what he said is such awesome acting. Looking listless and reviewing it in his mind, wondering if it was him or his rage speaking
I like this scene it doesn't show soprano whining about his insecurities or getting upset at the tiniest things he actually has a point here and is laying down the law for his group and I respect that
it was a deliberately cruel act. people are incorrectly saying 'Tony respected Feech'. He didn't. He considered Feech another Richie Apreio. Sending him back to prison would be absolutely Soul destroying. Feech couldn't tell anyone in prison what really happened as he would be seen as disloyal and untrustworthy. Those malapropisms were one of my favorite aspects of the show. Not only very funny, but a clever and subtle way to showcase the difference between a wise guy’s street smarts and a civilians book smarts.
@@thePompousRhombus Tony gets frustrated with Feech constantly making remarks about how the world and business has changed while he was away. Tony then snaps at Feech, instructing him that if continued to feel the urge to speak about the past then he should keep his commentary within the strict confines of harmless and benign topics concerning things like pop culture and general small talk, such as Dynaflow transmissions and the musical group the Macguire Sisters. Tony gives the command using the statement-“You just keep your *_antidotes_* to local color, like Dynaflows or the Macguire Sisters…” What Tony thought he was saying was “ *anecdote* “, meaning a short and often personal story about an incident or experience. Tony, most likely oblivious that a mistake was even present said “ *antidote* “ instead, a word that is phonetically similar, basically a homophone, but has a wildly different meaning.
Amazing acting by gandolfini , every time I rewatch it it gets better . You can immediately see the regret in his face after he scolds Feech because of the reverence and respect he had for him. It’s like he almost surprised himself allowing himself to get loud with feech like that , considering tony probably was just a punk kid who used to idolize feech and fetch him his liquor when he was in his prime .

"badass" really? I dont think you understood the main point of the episode. The entire episode and surrounding events shows him starting to fail as a leader. He couldn't control Feech, he started lashing out, and fundamentally he had an issue, identified by Silvio, with temper and being a control freak despite not gaining respect required for control. This was followed by a complete collapse in leadership in future episodes.
